Great video, brings back memories ,i used to work at the Imperial hotel by the harbor, the big 5 star on the cliff , many years ago, Babbacombe Downs, i no it well , stopped there on holiday, and again had a great time, and your right, the views are fantastic ,

Good evening Paul,wow loving this , remember walking down to the beach on the road in babbacombe,wasn't great coming back up,don't think I'd manage it nowadays. Is the miniature model village still there? Lovely gardens the flower beds always looked spectacular there. We love Torquay,such a beautiful place, love going to cockington village, with the lovely thatched cottages,and Three Tuns pub,I think, loved walking up to the little old church and visiting the craft shops. Oh happy memories thanks so much, we should have gone on a coach trip, but got cancelled due to the pandemic 😢. Great vlog thanks for sharing see you in the next one, bye for now take care 😊x

The precinct bizarre the shop that sells everything. 😂 They also own a fantastic little corner shop on five ways, just off Forest road. Such a lovely family. My local pub is the Crown & Septer. Just up from the precinct. 👍🏻
Brill, do you remember the snooty Fox? been in thier many a time but that's sadly gone. Wonderful seeing all the tree's around, near Torquay Golf Club, I played and was a member thier, great time, great memories :)
@@TheBlackpoolLads Yes our whole family spent many a great boxing day at the Snooty Fox. It was a fantastic pub. My great grandfather was a doorman there when it was called the St George Hotel. I also had golf lessons at Petitor golf club years ago. When Peter Northcott was captain. He sadly passed away a few years ago. Like you said great times and memories.

Torquay looks absolutely stunning and very clean and tidy. But to be fair it doesn't get massive numbers of stags and hens and unruly visitors that mess the place up like they do in Blackpool.

I guess it’s a place for relaxation and possibly the older class again has some of the most stunning views in the United Kingdom, which I’m sure. you and many other visible agree in regards to entertainment and atmosphere nothing beats Blackpool to be fair and in the next video we should be out tomorrow you can see Torquay has changed considerably, which is quite shocking. Great video. Just a note on the Snooty Fox pub. The owners spent a lot of money doing it up and it looked great. The top floor was then let / sold to live in and the people moved in knowing they would be living above a pub but then complained that.....they were above a pub saying it was noisy and had it closed down to become the charity shop you see today. I hope they are proud of themselves.

good evening William and many thanks for your comment and watching, my father who was sadly passed away was born on Hartopp Road towards the top end, myself went to Westland school which I believe has been renamed now they used to be upper and lower school and also went to ellacombe primary school. We used to live a couple of doors away from Ray Reardon In Brixham as well as Vane Hill Road, babbacombe Road and also Brunel Avenue. I live there for approximately 15 years And the surrounding areas are exactly the same with the wonderful views amazing walks and lovely scenery however the town area Has really gone downhill sadly, and it’s a shame. Hopefully things will get better for Torquay but it’s not just Torquay. It’s not just one city or town. It’s all over the United Kingdom sadly. I believe online shopping has caused a lot of problems for a lot of shops and businesses and they now have ceased trading. Again, many thanks for comment. Holidayed there nearly 36 years ago at Babbacombe ,getting the "train" down the cliff to go to the beach.Think parts are collapsing now and fenced off

I was born in Torquay in 1940, We grew up during Torquay's best. It's changed, for the worst, and it is really sad
good evening William and many thanks for your comment and watching, my father who was sadly passed away was born on Hartopp Road towards the top end, myself went to Westland school which I believe has been renamed now they used to be upper and lower school and also went to ellacombe primary school. We used to live a couple of doors away from Ray Reardon In Brixham as well as Vane Hill Road, babbacombe Road and also Brunel Avenue. I live there for approximately 15 years And the surrounding areas are exactly the same with the wonderful views amazing walks and lovely scenery however the town area Has really gone downhill sadly, and it’s a shame. Hopefully things will get better for Torquay but it’s not just Torquay. It’s not just one city or town. It’s all over the United Kingdom sadly.
I believe online shopping has caused a lot of problems for a lot of shops and businesses and they now have ceased trading. Again, many thanks for comment. All the very best and take good care of yourself Paul

hi Craig many thanks for coming and totally agree Saint Mary Church is a fantastic place as well as Babbacombe and Babbacombe Downs, I also like Brunel wood that’s also a great walk and also you can look right over again.
