Your videos are my newest obsession…so grateful to find your tutorials bc I’ve committed to creating my daughters wedding bouquet and Im no trained floral designer, though I did work in the floral dept at a grocery store, once upon a time. You’ve provided great inspiration and much needed comic relief.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I had NO DOUBT you will create stunning arrangements for your girl's wedding! It's especially helpful that you already have experience, so don't discount that. Check out our site for more education and view our Collections to take the guesswork out of it. flowermoxie.com/
This helped SO MUCH. I got my first wedding inquiry (internal/external screaming) and the bride wants a cascade bouquet. The tip about not putting too much stress on the stems was great.
So excited for you!!!! We're so glad you found the video helpful! Cascade bouquets can be intimidating but they don't have to be! Keeping the stress of the stems is so important so the stems dont' snap. We can't wait to see how your bouquet turns out, we know that you're going to do an amazing job!
WOW. Gorgeous design and fantastic tutorial. I have NO formal training in flower design or arranging. I'm just a gardener who conditions flowers and then tries to 'make them behave' in a vase, usually without much success. But foolishly I agreed to 'do the flowers' for my niece's wedding last Saturday... I watched this repeatedly for a couple of days in the week, then without any prior practice launched myself into it with my chosen flowers of white calla lilies, a very palest pink Astilbe ( variety 'Europa'), white lisianthus and a lovely pale blush rose. I will say that with her experience she makes it look easy and I probably spent ten times as long trying to get the shape of the structuring handheld Gypsophila right (the 'stand in front of a mirror' tip is BRILLIANT). Then trying to get the fat calla stems into the naturally-spiralling bunch of Gypsophila stems is also a challenge for a clumsy beginner Nevertheless it turned out unbelievably gorgeous, just magical. Along with the other bouquets and arrangements (also helped by your videos) The other guests raved and assumed it was professional. My family was stunned, knowing my complete lack of knowledge and experience. And my sister is converted, having also been a 'jam the flowers given to you into a vase' person, is now inspired to take it up too. I can't thank you enough. You've made two newly-conjoined families very happy. (Total cost of wedding flowers, in England: under £400, so maybe $500...)
Oh wow!!! It’s amazing to hear how beautifully the flowers turned out for your niece’s wedding, and we’re thrilled that our videos helped along the way. Congratulations on creating such stunning arrangements - sounds like you nailed it! Cheers to even more flower success in the future!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful bouquet. My daughter is getting married next spring with a vintage whimsical theme and this is exactly what she is looking for. I love your videos and your sense of humor is spot on 🤣
oh my God, I AM secretly watching this while at work... I love flowers! I'm getting married in 8 months so I basically want to learn everything there is about flowers so that I can be able to create myself all my wedding's floral arrangement.
I'm so glad you found our lovin' arms! Great job on doing your homework. I can always tell when my clients take the time to educate themselves because it truly shows in the outcome! Check out our site to see if there are any collections that you vibe with! flowermoxie.com/pages/moodboard-packages
Not only do you have the best flower tutorials on the internet, but your snarky comments absolutely slay me. Serious question, do you want to be my best friend? You’re so cool.
Watching at work! Assembling my cousin's wedding bouquets this weekend & I'm a novice. Was going to just use the baby breath for the pews but may add some to the bouquet now. Thank you for the videos!
I love all of your videos, so helpful!!! Could you show a greenery-only corsage and boutonnières or a floral hoop chandelier/hanging wreath? Thank you so much for all of your teaching, I’ve learned so much!
Where did the other free foam cascade bouquet video go? That one used more greenery which is the look I'm going for and was hoping to watch it several times to do some trial runs. Please bring it back if you can. Thank you for these educational videos!
OMG... I thought I was the only one that was reminded of those dated baby's breath/leather leaf arrangements and wanted to steer clear of baby's breath, because of it. 🫣 Lol ... That being said, there's a resurgence of baby's breath pieces that have me wanting to go against my flower prejudice 😏... Really pretty bouquet btw.🥰
I COMPLETELY feel you! I had to work hard to overcome the biases I had toward various flowers (still hate spider mums, but I'm still working on that). Thank you so much for your kind comment, it always helps to hear "I feel the same way" in floristry.
@@FlowerMoxie We are doing a very similar look for a staircase installation, I would like not to use a chicken wire cage, thinking about trying to do it as if I were making many cascade bouquets? Your thoughts?
Hi! I’m using this method to make a cascade bouquet this weekend and in another one of your videos you said that you use a handkerchief to protect the brides dress from the stems and I’m wondering how you attach that. Really hoping you’ll see this in timeto give me an answer before the weekend! 🙏🏻 Thank you!!
My daughter inherited my thick thighs and a disdain for baby's breath. We used some Queen Anne's Lace to lighten up her bridal bouquet. Very pretty cascade though, for those that love that look.
Bridal bouquets can range from $150-$225! Since cascading bouquets require a little more work if I was selling this bouquet to the bride I would quote about $185-$200. Orchids (whether real or faux) are an expensive flower!
Reformed baby’s breath hater here - this is DROOLWORTHY 😍🤤 Amazing work! How would you go about transporting this one? The thought of that makes my armpits go full Mary Katherine Gallagher 😬😓 (Sorry for the tmi)
Hahahaha, I do all types of ratchet tricks when fitting stuff on my car for transport. More than likely, I'd put this bish on the passenger floorboard and prop my purse underneath it, and wedge in my box of floral tools. If it ain't janky, then it ain't gonna work.

I come for the instruction and stay for all the snarky comments. lol. I'm also a repentant baby's breath and carn hater. But now I'm a snob against alstro and liatris. Ew. Maybe they'll have their day again and I'll have to repent again. Thank you for explaining all the little tips that are necessary for this kind of design. Most tutorials end without talking about silk backups or how to store, etc. but could you explain how you support the bouquet while it sits in the vase and for transport?
Ha, that thrills me to no end! And I TOTALLY feel you about hating Baby's Breath....the '80s weren't good to that poor flower, was it?! Great idea for the transport. For this sucker, I'd probably put my vase in a hydration bucket so it's not as easy to tip over, but often transportation is just a janky job where you're buckling in vases, wedging things in tight, using towels to support and stabilize, and then driving like a granny to your destination. It was my LEAST favorite part of being a florist.
It's all about personal preference! Some brides request an all white bouquet and other want a bit of color. Luckily flowers give lots of different color options.
White phaleonopsis orchids tend to be that very stark white, so whether you're going with faux or real, it's probably going to have that tone contrast. But if faux orchids aren't your thing, no need to use them! Try getting a plant from your local grocery store or use other drippy white flowers!
We like how it turned out but that's ok if it's not your style... that's the beauty of art and design! What works for one person might not work for another 💕
As an artist, I never feel inspired to criticize someone else's work or techniques. It's interesting how those who don't contribute and put content into the world are the first to troll others. If my tutorial isn't for you, feel free to move on-Keep blooming, even if it's from the sidelines! 🌷😄 😉

Very well explained 🎉
