What are you talking about? The SL65 was a twin turbo V12 in a roadster making enough torque to rotate a small moon. The cars in this era are far beyond anything from the 70's, 80's, and even the 90's. Now if you're only referring to reliability and durability then yeah, Mercedes from those eras were definitely solid. @@griffins750

My favorite part is them deleting the ABC suspension though. They saved a lot of weight and a lot of problems there.

Man the ABC is soo heavy and faulty, but god damn it rides nice when working. Probably best ride out there. Too bad it's not worth it to try and fix, when it goes bad

My wifes cousin ended up married to one of the wealthiest real estate moguls in America, she was his secretary and then one day at Christmas pulls up in a SL500. Fast foward 2 years and we get invited to their Hampton property on Ford Estates and there is a SL65 Black Series in the driveway. She knew I was a car geek and said go tale it for a spin, he wont mind. I spent the rest of the day driving around the Hamptons in that beast, the power is not instant, more like a train that builds speed like it has rocket boosters. Twin turbo V12 is something everyone should experience.
I've been in one of these. And it was... aggressive. The ride, the noise and just how fucking insanely fast it was. It was an utter torque monster and I'm sure it could be used to restart a fucking planet.

This is the most beautiful black series and craziest if i had to start a Black Series collection this would definitely be the first one I'd buy this car is so so far from the original AMG it's based on it's basically a whole new car

Could’ve been the ultimate Halo AMG car with a DCT from any of the 2020’s AMG GT-R’s. That 5 speed wasn’t cutting it imho.

The one car that I felt no control over, losses the rear so fast
Saying it lost 551 lbs isn't really accurate because with all the strengthening and upgrades it gained back pretty much all of it. Was pretty much the same weight as the regular car.

This car was severely bottlenecked by its 5-speed A/T transmission. Tuners of the black series said that the tranny would break if the stock tune was upgraded.
I'll trade you my E85 BMW. Awd, has rare hydraulic steering vs. electric. 40k miles. Currently broke down forever. Feels like a fair trade.

Are you guys able to tune remotely? Ir perhaps be open on a weekend, to tune a 205 AMG C63S. Idk why, but the frozen north seems to shut down on the weekends, and i have a 6 day career
