*_NO 👏NEED 👏TO 👏CUT 👏ANY 👏SLACK 👏ON 👏NYKAA_* , it’s not a startup anymore and they definitely have plenty of money and other required resources to produce at least 30 shades of foundation. We are not asking them to convert water into wine, we are asking for a foundation that matches the majority of us. And it’s not too much to ask for. So stop saying Jovi was biased, you came here for her opinion and she has served it the right way. *PERIOD*

Apparently dark skinned girls don't wear makeup...
Honestly it makes me so angry. It's fine to cut them some slack but they are still inadvertently perpetuating the idea that light skin is better and more acceptable . It's just so sickening to think of all the girls with absolutely beautiful skin, who feel like they can't find anything for themselves and that they have to try and fit into this ridiculous "norm"

Nykaa is definitely the new "EMERGING LAKME" for India. Irony is that unlike Lakme,Nykaa has its own youtube Channel where you can easily observe the kind of backlash they receive from their Customers whether it be for their pathetic shade range of foundation or average quality products. It just never seems to take criticism and feedbacks into consideration. With the kind of resources and reach it has towards the masses,it can become India's leading Cosmetic brand and can easily carve a niche for itself.

Thanks for making this video. When the nykaa foundations came out, RUclipsrs claimed that the foundation can adjust upto 1 shade up and down and what not bullshit science logic!
They should expand on their shade range for foundation more than jumping on to make 100 different shade ranges for lipstick, mini lipstick, silicone brushes, making Jhanvi Kapoor your brand ambassador and what not.. surely they could spend some money on foundation.

Their shade range sucks for light/medium skin-toned girls as well. They make everything with either yellow or pink undertone. Nykaa needs to understand that us Indians can have neutral undertones as well. 🙄
It seems nykaa isn't too concerned about feedback. I've written to them already a couple of times telling them that their "try me" feature's shade range is laughable. The darkest shade is probably almond and darker skin girls like me have to guess what lipstick shades looks like on us. I got a response from their team saying that they're looking into it. But it read more like an automated reply

Ok, this needs to be said. If you can find your foundation shade at every store you walk in and rock it like a dream, you can't say, "Stop complaining about the shade range". It's 2018 and brands have to wake up from their blissful ignorance.

Hahha !! LOL... I just have one question to Nykaa. What were you thinking Nykaa when you launched those silicone brushes?? Aren't beauty tools supposed to make your work easy ??Didn't you test those brushes before launching ??😂😂 You could have invested that money in more foundation shades instead. I think Nykaa is competing with Lakme..but in the reverse direction.😂😂
Couldn't agree more. What's funnier is that, many international RUclipsrs had already given those silicon brushes negative review before they reached India. So then, why not do market research?
I got one of those brushes and it was broke. I mainly got it to apply my face packs though. But still never heard from them again after me reaching out to their support helpline or wtever. Such a waste of money

I honestly feel that Nykaa as a brand is not so popular but it understood how important youtube and beauty influencers are for its business. So, it got on the game of getting out PR and getting people to give positive or sponsored reviews and content. Now obviously, an experiences MUA will obviously be able to work with even a bad product cause they understand these things so much more than the average Jane. Also, nykaa doesn't just sell its own products but is more or less the amazon of the indian beuaty communtiy so you can get anything and everything beauty related that you want. They are a lot like morphe with hit and miss products. I think they wanted to sell other brands on the site so they could get the traffic coming but people are still not loving their products as much as you would expect from a "brand". Not taking shade range into consideration, peoples preferences and feedback is also continuously ignored and they have been accused of selling fake products too. Nykaa really should consider changing their image especially when its a pioneer company with so many brands under one roof. They have so much potential to do great things but they keep disappointing. Why Nykaa? Why?

Really nice review, though the toffee chisel shade from Nykaa stick foundation is actually for contouring(told by nykaa and you may find same on their website as well) and the darkest shade is 06 golden hazelnut.
The liquid foundation can do alot better job with shade range as most people prefer liquid foundation over stick foundation. 😊

Hi Jovi the last few days I've seen all your videos back to back 🙈 Being brown I find it really difficult to get a good foundation for my skin.. I also have acne prone skin.. However Lotus is a brand I somewhat manage with... They do not have a lot of choice just like Nykaa but it would be nice to know what you think about them. Great work ❤️

I once ordered a nykaa matte liquid lipstick. When I received the lipstick it was almost dry. Product was hardly der. Then when I reported this to nykaa support. I never heard back again. And once I ordered for one nail polish got a diff one. Again I reported to nyka support. Both the cases never heard back. Never was replaced with the correct order. I’ve also heard many similar issues. Hate nykaa. Waste of money.

I knew you were the beauty RUclipsr we need the moment I saw your Lakme Kareena Kapoor Khan collection video, where you were so incredibly honest. I’m so happy there are couple of Indian beauty RUclipsrs who don’t suck up to Nykaa for PR packages and to be featured on their channel. Kudos to you. Stay this way and please don’t change.
Also Nykaa isn’t as innocent as people think. People don’t even realise how heavily reviews are moderated by some team inside Nykaa. I had posted few negative reviews about many products last year, many of them high end skin care and my reviews became most liked reviews for those products and since then I can’t post any reviews, even if I want to post a good review I still can’t. Later I found out Nykaa heavily moderates reviews and yes fake reviews and ratings are very real in Nykaa. I’ve noticed many times, some product would have just launched and it says 20-30 etc ratings and when you click there are no ratings or reviews. Couple of my friends are facing the same issue. Nykaa started following Zivame, they allow only good reviews to go live. This is how they are tricking people into buying products. They only want our money and not give good service/products and don’t care about having integrity and being moral.
Also I received stale products, where products smelt foul and oil had separated from products and they were beyond expiry date this year. This happened twice and I had ordered about 20 products in those 2 orders, some of them had gone stale and most of them were covered in dirt and debris even hair strands and looked like it sat around in warehouse for more than a decade. I knew I had to stop using Nykaa then.
I keep telling my friends, Nykaa needs completion. Because they are dominant player in online makeup store, they are operating as per their whims and fancies. Once they get good competition will straighten up their act. Also, someone needs to school them on customer retention and customer relations management. At this rate they are going to run out of business pretty soon, which won’t really be a bad thing to be honest.

Indian brands usually have only 4-5 shades and being dark.. i have to only buy higher end like MAC. PAC n fit me are good in the drugstore. Even among higher end brands, many of them dont launch as many shades as they have in the other countries. I have heard so much abt estee lauder double wear... but... seems like they have shades lighter or darker than mine.. inbetween shades dont get launched here...bummer!

I’m NC 33.5 in MAC SF and Nykaa’s darkest shade of liquid foundation matches me. But I don’t feel like using it because it sits funny on my skin. I don’t know it could be only me...

What do you mean when you say it sits funny?
Jovita George it doesn’t blend in; I apply moisturiser and sunscreen and then I tried to apply the foundation but it just sits on top of the skin. I went to a MAC store to check my shade and that MAC foundation blended in so well, it didn’t look like I was wearing a foundation. But I didn’t buy it because it’s out of my budget and I’m trying my best to go cruelty free

Nykaa had this dusky series or something. And the foundation they recommended included their own range ( of course). The amount of backlash they had was huge. But did they listen??? No!!!! Nykaa is such a " now" company. Like they understand RUclips promotions and Instagram and things. That means they deliberately ignore the fact the need for darker shades.

Even the nykaa liquid lipstick is a copy cat version of stay quirky liquid lipstick......sometimes I just don't get why the hell big brands can't stay all original and unique !

I agree, The lights kind of washed out the BB cream, so I tried it a cuple of times more and gave the written review on the video.. Had to be fair :) Thanks for your love and support dear.
Even the lightest shade is not light enough. It straight up looks orange on me. (I’m pretty fair when it comes to Indian skin tones and have a neutral undertone to my skin) So, not only we need more darker shades but a few lighter ones too along with different undertones.
If i apply sunscreen of 30 SPF and then apply BB cream of 30 SPF, will it give me sun protection of 60 SPF? 😜

I have been using the nykka bb cream and it oxidize so bad. I am in the same shade classic tan. But it makes my skin darker...
And it's embarassing when a drop of water falls on your face. it leaks like you've got a turmetic mask on!
I have tried this foundation... But it makes patches on the skin.. n i think it oxidises as well... Suggest mh some gud foundation... My skin type izz combination to oily
