Hey my loves, I mentioned that this range is inclusive in the video, but my bad. That sentence came out in that flow of excitement while speaking. What I meant to say is, it’s a step in the right direction and I’m beyond excited that they have a range that’s 15 shades compared to the 5 shades from their previous launches. I stand by everything else I said in this video. They have 5 light shades, 5 medium shades and 5 dark shades. The deep dark shades are missing and they need to work on that. Also, remember that my hand is dark, so the medium shades appear even lighter on my hand in contrast. And I don’t understand people who expect me to trash a brand in a sponsored video. When I don’t agree with a brand or product, I just don’t take up that sponsorship. Taking a sponsorship and dragging them through the mud is not my ethics. I’ve turned down countless sponsorships in the past with so many brands, I don’t even consider the big dogs that aren’t cruelty free. But I don’t have to explain this or prove my integrity to anyone. So to people threatening to unsubscribe, calling me a sell out. Please, stop. You’re free to do whatever you want. Unsub if you want. But don’t come in here and throw around trash. That’s not welcome. I gave my honest review as always, if you didn’t like it, hit the dislike and leave. It’s simple, it’s mature and that’s accepted. Not name calling. Despite all this, I will continue to make a noise in this market calling out brands that do not have a single shade for us darker girls. I’ll continue to provide nothing but honest reviews here. To those who understand & support me, thank you! I truly honestly love you 3000!
It took you 9 days and a Shreya Jain review to realize that this shade range is "not inclusive ". We brown girls put you in a very high pedestal, please don't disappoint us.
You said we have to buy shades that match our skin tones, how will we, if there are none on the market? We are forced to buy lighter shades, we wouldn't if we actually had an option.
Jovita George hey jovi 😻 💋as alwys a very good vdo! It’s is not matters whether its a sponsored or you own vdo! It’s up to ppl mentality! Don’t bother n thanks for the effort in explaining all these shades ! Lov you and keep going jovi 💋
As a black woman I am a little confused at some of the comments. Most Indians I know are dark skin. So why are people okay with these colors? Why are people giving them a pass. “At least they are putting in some effort” what?! They are making products for you to buy. Effort is the minimum. Trying shouldn’t be an option. They should be doing. It’s 2019!!!! Idk maybe someone could give some more insight. Maybe just me and the women I know approach things differently. Dark skin Indian people aren’t new so you shouldn’t have to wait around for companies to include you. You shouldn’t be an afterthought
Totally agree. Im a medium skin tone and from those swatches I think I'd fall into the dark category. It's embarrassing that anyone is applauding the brand for this half ass attempt at inclusivity.
Exactly! I don't understand why people are treating Nykaa like it's some infant trying it's best. Umm, no. Nykaa has been around for quite some time, they have the added advantage of actually knowing what shades people prefer and what they need desperately, AND they have such a huge influencer network. Imagine the things they could do! And after all that, this is what they come up with? They had the opportunity to do so much, and yet they always fail to deliver. And it gets worse when people try to justify their actions. Ughhh.
Thank you, this comment is everything I wanted to say!! I got the shade 07 and I'm on the fairer side of Indian skin.. So I don't understand how 15 would work. Indians tend to be so much darker and 15 is just not enough! Also the packaging is cheap and shitty.. Idk what she's talking about 😒
I know some people are happy with the shade range. All this is because they feel something is better than nothing. The shade range is definitely not inclusive but at least it's a step in the right direction.
Its because demand is very very low. No company in their right mind will like to waste money and time to cater to to a very small % when the demand is high for other shades.
@@t-.-t. This is laughable.. Our population has abt 70% of dark skinned ppl and u say there's no demand? U are so ignorant that my anger actually turned to laughter 😆
Just because nykaa launched 15 shades does not make the shade range inclusive. Look at the swatches 12/15 shades are for fair skin. All the inclusion of undertones for fair skin and and just 2 to 3 shades for dark skin with peachy/neutral undertones, sorry but this shade range is NOT inclusive.
I'm so glad you said this! I was just getting ready to say the same. I'm fair medium skinned and I'm pretty sure my shade would be 11😂 that's stupid. And their excuse or let's say reasoning isn't fair. Most brands in India don't carry most of their darker shades in stores so obviously ppl won't buy em.
Actually just the first 6 shades are for fair skinned people and then the fair medium, medium dark, and dark skinned colours. I don't know what made you say that 12 shades are for fair skinned people when it's clearly not the case. It can be because the shades are looking lighter on Jovita's hands (which they obviously will since it's not her skin tone). I am a medium skinned girl with neutral undertone and shade no. 8 is perfect for me, so I can without a doubt say that the shades range is inclusive.
I have to disagree with you Jovita. How is this inclusive when 80% of the 15 shades are for fair skin individuals and the darkest shade is hardly suitable for deeper skin Indians, of whom there are plenty in India? Furthermore you mentioned the foundation oxidises, so that just makes it even less appropriate for deeper skin individuals. I had a look at their website, the 15 shades are not at all distributed evenly. This reminds me of the beauty blender saga - they released 32 shades but majority of them only appealed to those with fair complexion and many weren’t happy, even huge RUclipsrs. Similarly this range is not inclusive.
Nykaa could come up with 50 shades with 49 shades of white. It will just be increase in the shades and not the shade range. This holds true for 15 too. *This* *is* *not* *inclusive!*
The 3 "dark" ones aren't even dark, they're more medium so yeah they didn't listen. Just adding a number of more shades doesn't mean the shade range is inclusive.
Girl, I love you but whenever I see a sponsored Nyka video it scares me. Everyone has been all about it because they've sent PR to everyone. Thought you'd buy it and hence I was waiting for it.
Although I do agree there's an improvement in the number of shades ,but to me , that's still 11 shades of beige with different undertones and 4 medium shades , just an opinion , that if they were trying to take the initiative to create more shades , there should have been more variety , from the swatches itself it looks like 11 light fair shades , and 4 medium shades , what about all those darker or in between ? 15 shades is good , but with a wider spectrum. Personal opinion , also why are the dark shades only thought of for "shade range extensions" , are darker people an "extension" to society ? No, and so they should be thought of from the start , I don't think any company should put out a range if they can't cater to the actual "range" in skin tones .Anyhow thank you for the review and swatches Jovita , really appreciate all the effort you put in ,and for making your voice heard, lots of love ❤️❤️
I don't understand why there's so many light shades. Most Indians fall in the darkest shades of the current range. South Asians are medium-dark brown people, not "porcelain"! Are white people buying Nykaa?? Or are Indians wearing shades too light for their skin tone?? To Nykaa: White people here in Europe are not buying your shit, so stop this bakwaas and make mostly brown shades.
Just 3 shades or so for medium skin tone. Mighty mocha being the darkest and that skin tone doesn't even begin to match the darker tones. Why couldn't they have formulated some dark tones too? Is that due at a later date?
Absolutely... It is so disappointing... I’ve stopped seeing the sponsored reviews by the bloggers these days ... Being a South Indian and having seen the number of dark skin toned people in my city, I would just say this is NOT inclusive ... Or maybe they cater to only to some geographical regions of India ?
I know right? It actually made me sad wen she said its inclusive. It clearly is not. Agreed its the first time an Indian brand has brought so many shades, but not inclusive AT ALL... Maybe she had to say that coz its sponsored. 😒
first.. yes, I am happy they are making a change but the biggest change they made out here is sponsoring you girl! That makes me more happy because they need to be more inclusive with the blogger community as well. Pan India bloggers need the attention too. Now , it sure needs more undertones and shades...the undertones trouble me. .. but they are making a change and for me ...better late than never. Pac is defo up there where inclusivity is concerned...but this is a good change from Nykaa.
Thanks my love. The undertones on the existing range is really good. It doesn’t look like it on my arm because of the contrast of my arm and the shades. They all look white on me.
This is not an inclusive range, I disagree with you. It's still something dark skinned girls would struggle with considering the options they've been given. Also, you're not talking the usual way in this video. 😬 Please don't settle and call this range inclusive. You're better than that. :)
I know that this range is inclusive. I just feel like they could have gone a LITTLE deeper. My skin tone is represented but i have girlfriends who are much deeper than me and wouldn't be able use even the darkest shade. THAT BEING SAID I still think they did a good job on the shade range.
which lipstick shade are you wearing? also can you suggest nice dusty red lipsticks for your skintone? looks like a good honest video- but they can definitely add to the dusky range. im probably true toffee but how is that the bottom part of the shade range!? also i feel brands should start with their darkest shade and then go down to the lighter shade foundation. all brands always start with the light ivory shades so as to make people feel like as if those are the superior tones.
*sees the swatches on the thumbnail* 👀hmnn.....looks like a lot. But are my dark chocolate sisters included though? Well, to be honest, 15 shades for an Indian cosmetic brand is pretty impressive considering how we are being given 4 shades, all of which look like wall plaster *cough* lakme *cough* Good job, Nykaa!! Impressive none the less. EDIT: I got an ad for lakme in the end of this video uuuh-🙊
Having a few token shades for dark skin doesn’t make their shade range inclusive 🙄 their 2nd to last shade matches me and im just medium-deep. Stop profiting off of shade-inclusivity trend without even being inclusive, Nykaa! Sure, this range seems to include two dark shades when other Indian brands have none. But does that mean they can claim to be “inclusive”?? Absolutely not. My real problem with this product is how they have jumped on the inclusivity-bandwagon to promote/market it when it’s remotely inclusive to begin with 🤦🏽♀️ #mySkinIsNotATrend
They launched 15 shades, out of which only 3 are there for the brown skintone. There are so many darker shades out there. Calling it in inclusive is so wrong. It's 2019 and we still find it difficult to find our shade. Aren't we the part of society as well?
I just wanna say something is better than nothing...but m still waiting for brands to work on undertones ....there are many people in India which are not just from darker tones but also have different undertones altogether....so it's still a non satisfactory launch.. however I will appreciate them for the work....we have pink , olive, yellow, peach n many more undertones in between...hope to have someone catering to those things
I agree to the fact that the more shades are for fair skin . But I also think the foundations look too fair because it’s swatched on Jovita’s hand . Obviously the foundations are gonna look more bright and fair when watched on a darker skin tone . Right ? Don’t come at me . I didn’t mean dark skin is bad or anything . I meant , the first 8 shades look too fair and almost similar because it’s been swathed on darker skin and also the lighting .
We are talking about a person who is not talking about major major brand due to her belief in cruelty free product. Do you think Nykaa will pay her more than Mac..Just a thought ..
Girl I love you but the shade range is not inclusive at all.2 dark shades out of 15!The rest are all for paler and lighter skin.Dissapointed with the shade range.
Honestly I am not too impressed with the shade range... Swatches on ur hand doesn't make a lot of difference because ur hands are not too dark..... There are only about two dark shades which are not dark enough for a majority of people.... So when we have brands with 30,40,60 shades.. I couldn't be bothered about nykaa... My Dark chocolate sisters are NOT an afterthought!
Jovita Thank you for your honest review... I trust you and I think I will buy them in future. I don't think my exact shade is available but I can buy a lighter shade close to my skin tone and a darker shade to tone down the brightness by mixing them together. Others can also try this. But the price is bit on the expensive side so buying two, three shades will be very costly. Other than the price I don't think there are any other cons and if there is, you would have mentioned in the video. Thanks again Jovita 💕💕💕
Lets be real- ppl who are within the shade range 1 to 12 will find options in other brands the problem is finding shades deeper than that & reasonably priced. There can be atleast 4 shades between 13 and 15 each with their own undertones, infact shade 15 looks like nw 45 in mac and that really isn't deep enough, im sorry to say but nykaa the whole point of being inclusive is not just introducing 15 shades of mostly light to medium beige but giving us a shade range which covers light to deep skin aswell, and there seem to be just the two token deep shades 14 n 15. Plz for the love of god n all things makeup give us deeper shades that are representative of Indian skin tones!🙏
Jovita is going through the comments and liking the ones that support her justification but not responding to people calling her out for this biased review.
I went to the nykaa store for the foundation swatches. Tried shade- 2 vanilla but it was lighter and shade-3 was darker on my skin so I didn't put my hands on it but instead I went for their skin genius range and shade-2 almond beige suited me well and gave me a skin like finish. It is also a beautiful foundation for fair to medium skin tones. The only doubt I have regarding the shade range is that the beauty vloggers I follow on RUclips look like they've a similar complexion but the foundation shades go upto 7 or 8 on this collection. I do not understand what is it.
Hi, can you help me selecting the shade for this product. My skin colour is medium skin tone. I use Warm nude shade Maybelline BB/CC cream. Hence, which shade should I buy??
If possible can you do a foundation shade match across few brands e.g NC42 of Mac matches with which Maybelline/loreal/nyx/nykaa/etc foundation !! Because it's quite difficult to choose foundations online !!
Nykaa definitely did not listen to us! They might have 15 shades but most of them are fair. They can come out with 20 or 30 but there is no point in doing that if they are only going to continue with mostly fair shades. From the swatches, all I see is different light shades for different undertones. Only 2 of the shades can be considered dark. So no, they did not listen or understand what we are trying to say. I don't think you should give them credit for having more than 5 shades when they didn't do much variation in the shade range to suit dark skinned individuals. In response to the CMO, what is the darkest shade Nykaa ever had? If shade Mighty Mocha is the darkest that they ever had, then of course it won't work for a large sum of the population. Therefore, girls darker than this shade will have to go with this one because they don't have any other choice. And, that's how it's been forever. So that is a lousy excuse to me.
Why Jovita !Why !?? This shade range from Nykaa is disappointing like other Indian brands. I am dark skinned with an olive undertone ,none of these shades suit me .And nykaa has only 3 shades for dark skin .This is definitely not inclusive.
You're so right about how change has to come from us. Most of my friends still buy lighter foundations. They don't really believe me when I say a foundation the exact same tone or even slightly darker is what will make your skin look good. This one of my friend told me you just have to blend blend and blend it out. 😑 oh also, what about the sales girls? They always always try to sell us lighter foundations in India. I hope all this changes soon. I am proud of being brown and will teach my children the same thing 😊
If some people are not buying their own shade is it okay to not make those shades at all ? Why not make the shade available and then encourage people to choose the right shade for themselves , if the people who buy lighter shades for darker skin tones are going to see 15 shades of beige and medium brown , they're bound to think this is all that's available to them , and so this is the right way to do their makeup . I wish Nykaa had taken into account this as well in their research database . Sorry I'm going on my second mini rant , but this is something I feel strongly about as someone who had to use a lighter foundation for so long in the past , and for my fellow women in India with darker skin who deserve their shade , not an "Extension" to an existing shade range. Thank you for the video and doing your best always ❤️❤️
U talk so crisp nd i love to listen to u.bt i always feel nykaa products are overhyped and overpriced. The skin genious foundation always breaks me out, also their new molten matte lipsticks are not highly pigmented nd are neither long lasting. The only prouduct i like is the ulta matte lipsticks
That shade range is as abysmal as Beauty Blenders. *THREE* _moderately_ deep shades and they call this “inclusive”? How disrespectful. And regarding the sales of deeper foundations, people can’t buy them if there aren’t any available. Not to mention it needs to be promoted. Throw a gorgeous dark skinned model on a billboard wearing the foundation. Or put her in a commercial. Not just the usual, and then put “comes in __ shades”. I know there’s a problem with skin lightening, but it’s so disrespectful when brands disrespect their own countrywomen by not including them.
I agree, everybody is deserving of foundations that suit their undertones and of different finishes. And everybody deserves to see their skin tone promoted via a gorgeous model. It is insanity in a country where most woman are medium-dark we don't see ourselves in advertising
Lmao. This looks like the shade range for the initial release of the Beauty Blender foundation. 3-4 token brown shades with a millions shades of beige.
i appreciate the attempt to make an inclusive shade range but the reality is that it really is not. i understand that they dont put out a wide range of dark colours because people dont buy them but when a consumer does not have their colour, they will be forced to settle for a lighter one. By putting out such a wide range for fair, they are infact re enforcing the idea that fair is better.
Hey Jovita, out of curiosity how does nykaa products reach you? I’m new to your channel not sure if you have mentioned anything about it. Asking cos you live in Kuwait. Thanks :)
I went for an exact match of my face, by the end of the day it matches my arms.. as you can see my arms are a lot darker than my face.. so it works in a way for me
I honestly cannot understand statements like "hopefully the company will come up with more darker shades in the future"...why do darker people have to wait?..why cant they get their shade when a pdt is launched first time...will a company come up with 10 dark shades and say fairer shades will be launched in the future...will that be acceptable?
The shade range is actually good, it's the lighting and the fact that Jovita is dark complexioned that might be making most of the foundations look light. Check out other youtubers who have reviewed this, the shades that seem light in this video are actually a match to the darker skin. I would like to know if anyone had any allergies to this and what exactly is an anti pollution product.
Thanks for clarifying the shade looking lighter on my arms 💕 regarding the anti pollution part, I heard them say that it has some ingredient in it that acts as a shield preventing polllution and dust particles from interfering with the skin. I don’t know what is the name of the ingredient tho.. we could probably as the Nykaa team to clarify.
You should try that foundation which is white coloured cream but adjusts to the skins PH and becomes an exact skin tone colour.. can't remember it's name..
But I would say that they are trying and listening. Many people are upset but you need to know that it's business and it's not that easy. Nykaa has just started to expand their shade range and no company would launch 30 shades at once without knowing the sales rate of each shade. If their statistics find a demand for much deeper skin tones then they might release those shades in the future. You have to think like a business if there is no demand for such deeper shades than they are not going to release it as it might result in losses for them, any company would start slowly to know the demand in the market. Also, whitewashing is rooted deep in India, everyone I know always uses a lighter shade than their skin tone even if their shade is available. Most of the people in this country always lighten their skin with makeup and use lightening products, even my friends with darker skin lighten their skin in selfies through apps like beauty plus, it means they want to have lighter skin. I have a medium skin tone and I am not close to a darker shade, but I was judged by my aunts from a younger age for not having really fair skin like them and it was evident that they liked my cousins for being really fair. One of my cousins who is 5 years older than me and had the same skin tone as mine, definitely lightened her skin like eight years ago, her older photos show she was not this fair but she refuses to admit that she had any treatments done. Moreover, I think we should approve that a brand has at least listened instead of bashing them. For example, if a person is changing themselves slowly, do we support them or insult them for their shortcomings. Yes, they should include more deeper shades and we should push brands towards a positive change and acknowledge it if they are trying.
Its also the salespersons at the stores who, many times, sell the lighter shade. I myself experienced that. I had just started out with makeup and I didn't know much. plus, you can't really say anything in the store lights. I thought it was a lighter shade but it wasn't so evident. I went home and realised it was actually a lighter shade.
Yay!! Finally in india.. we have 2 indian brands (apart from pac) where we have good range for deeper skin tones.. sugar and nykaa. Sugar's stick foundation is really good for the price and quality. Nykaa's latest launch is also a very good product. I got the shade 11 in nykaa.. good match.. and does well for upto 5hrs in hot and humid climate. Interms of price too its very decent and the best part is both these are cruelty free!! I am loving them both. Hope brands like lakme and others that have only 3,4 or 5 shades start doing more. This is a start.. hope they continue ti launch more shades as there are way deeper and many more medium tones in india. About people buying "fair" shades, i think its only bcoz there isnt much option. Most sales counters just dab a teeny weeny drop of foundation on the wrist and try convincing the customer to buy it. Online shade matching is something people are still confused about but are getting better thanks to so many influencers of diff skin tones online.
People weren't buying darker shades because they weren't offered that or because they were unaware.. Since we r so used to seeing only lighter shades .. Am sorry there need to be a lot more dark shades in this range.. I am wheatish and my shade is 08 or 10
it is very true that people buy 1 or 2 shade lighter then actual skin tone... even i do when i know that the product oxidise... as i m in shade 02 very venilla but will buy shade 01..😍
Please try purple products if you don't know purple is an apP and has some purple exclusive brands like stay quirky NY bae products and also good vibes skincare brand please try and review them I have heard good things about it by lot of youtubers but to be honest I don't believe any of them because I can't believe that every product they advertise or use is so good because according to them every product they show on the channel is one of the best in the world with absolutely no cons I have requested the same thing to shreya and requesting you also because you too are the only Indian beauty bloggers I trust beyond limits purple also has recently launched its foundations and and not joking but they have 6 to 7 shade range in their product but I know it is not enough but being a new brand and being a budget friendly of having product in the range of 500 to 600 it is far better than the shittiest brand like Lakme who are far more famous and have more budget and more old in number of years it would be great if you try their sin skin care and would take the challenge of trying only good vibes skin care for 1 month I am using their aloe vera gel and believe me it works wonder far better than any of the the famous brands like wow and body Cupid aloe gels products I have used earlier I wish to try more products but I can't only invest in all my money in trying various products of same brand cause I am a college going girl and I can't afford to invest all my money e in trying out new brands products I hope you understand my concern I am commenting this since a long time on your videos plus us we share the same skin type and skin colour so what suits you most of the time suits me and you wouldn't believe me but 90% of my makeup collection are the products that has been approved by either Shreya Jain or you !!
When the market is filled with one color that fits all bb creams and chalk white and paper white cc creams, this is definitely a welcome change, but not the change we want. And it is disappointing to see you being okay with this.
Dear Jovita George. Please take notes from Shreya Jain! It is not inclusive. This shade range is same as scandelous Tarte shaptape foundation. In USA they got bashed but we Indians are praising it because we are happy with mediocrity. Although i already bought 2 shades, I like the the formula., but it is not all inclusive definitely better than Lakme kind of shade range. PAC still has the better shade range. We INDIANS are so habituated with worst things, thats why we feel so happy with this. Nc40 is where you can call them medium shade range starts and nykaa said 09 is equivalent to that. Nykaa basically launched 8 fair shade, 4 medium and 3 dark( not so dark) shade.
*how to know your undertone* Look at your veins on arm..if they are green you have warm undertone, if blue then you have cool undertone and if you have both blue and green you have neutral hndertone.
True coffee is much darker than it looks in the video(ring light problem) infact it's not yellow at all, it's straight up orange like a corrector orange.
It may be a a great step taken as far as an Indian brand is concerned, but looking at swatches online I can't completely buy into the claim that this range of foundation is inclusive. First time I saw swatches on Instagram it reminded me of tarte shape tape foundation shades debacle. But also I agree, our ppl are also habitual of buying lighter shades and should have acceptance from within for their actual skintone , before blaming the brands alone
Wellll........we don’t live in a world where 15 shades are INCLUSIVE NOOO I mean comparing it to the Indian standard for having foundation shades MAYBE but there are MANYYY people of colour who still can’t find there shade. The foundation can be the BEST but it is USELESS if there are no shades
legit only the last 3 shades cater to dark her and she says its "inclusive"....absolute rubbish! so disappointed to see this coming from someone who has been so vocal about shade range issues till now...the justification that people don't buy dark shades is quite rubbish (and if she is allowing nykaa to use this justification then all other brands like Lakme should also not be expected to produce dark shades)....money changed her honesty and opinion...unsubbed
Compared to what I see here in Australia nope not at all inclusive what about the woman who are darker than a medium brown? It is b* I am sorry in our country most people are medium brown and darker and there should be more shades to cater to most people. The preference for light foundations etc makes me feel sick honestly and while there is truth to some Indians not purchasing the right shade they wanna look lighter it isn't like companies are giving girls darker than a medium brown options in terms of finishes- matte/dewy etc and also undertones (see there olive/fair etc undertones for lighter foundations) they dont cater to as many darker girls undertones. Look at all the fair colours different undertones are options. Everybody is deserving of foundations that suit their undertones and of different finishes.
Hey jovita can you do a review vedio about ponds bb cream...l saw lot of youtubers reviewing about that product, but I want to know what you think about that because myself is having your skin color 😁
I call BS :)
The phrase came out of your mouth because you were paid by them and clearly that was more important.
I was about to comment that too!
Totally agree. Im a medium skin tone and from those swatches I think I'd fall into the dark category. It's embarrassing that anyone is applauding the brand for this half ass attempt at inclusivity.
I completely agree there needs be more undertone options and color options/finishes.
The people who are saying money changed her opinion its not like that its just her view
I agree, it is certainly a positive step but calling it inclusive is unacceptable.
@@r_r608 totally..
YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS
I know right!
White slavery at it's peak!
When shades oxidize they become darker.
So 14 shades of beige and one mid tone range is inclusive how????
Exactly!
One would never know
Lol...yeah!
Exactly 😂
how? i'll tell you! Its inclusive because nykaa sponsored this video.
We don't buy darker shades cause there are none
So we roll with what we have🤷🏽♀️
WHO BLAMES THE POPULATION WHO WAS BRAINWASHED TO THINK FAIR IS LOVELY FOR RELEASING THIS SHITTY RANGE
Bitch blamed ME, US for fair skin being glorified in media and the beauty industry. This beauty influencer and the brand are the industry lol not us
That literally looks like the shade range tarte came out with their shape tape foundation 😂😂
hahaha my thoughts too..
atleast tarte had a darker shade than this
When nyka isnt available in country yet u still watch the video...
Also sorry but this is NOT inclusive

Nykaa could come up with 50 shades with 49 shades of white. It will just be increase in the shades and not the shade range. This holds true for 15 too. *This* *is* *not* *inclusive!*
The 3 "dark" ones aren't even dark, they're more medium so yeah they didn't listen. Just adding a number of more shades doesn't mean the shade range is inclusive.
*The root cause behind Lakme's racism is its owner Simone Tata, a white woman!*
Girl, I love you but whenever I see a sponsored Nyka video it scares me. Everyone has been all about it because they've sent PR to everyone. Thought you'd buy it and hence I was waiting for it.
She also gave a biased review to stay on the brand's good books.
Come on Jovita, you must be kidding... This is NOT inclusive !! :-(
I don't understand why there's so many light shades.
Harini Sivakumar gurl, it’s sponsored, that makes it obvious to hear a little extra about the product.
first.. yes, I am happy they are making a change but the biggest change they made out here is sponsoring you girl!
They all look white on me.
am glad to see camaraderie with fellow you tubers 💕🧿
How? Both PAC and Nykaa have like 80% light shades and 20% dark shades. How is that inclusive? Still have very long way to go
This is not an inclusive range, I disagree with you. It's still something dark skinned girls would struggle with considering the options they've been given.
Also, you're not talking the usual way in this video. 😬
Please don't settle and call this range inclusive. You're better than that. :)
Sounds like an ad. Disappointed.
This was an ad, not a unbiased review.
Come on, this is 50 shades of white. It's just like the beauty blender foundation case. There should be darker shades!

Now I understand why Revlon's Nearly Naked looks weird on me... My undertone is different! I'd love to purchase this!
*sees the swatches on the thumbnail*
👀hmnn.....looks like a lot. But are my dark chocolate sisters included though?
Well, to be honest, 15 shades for an Indian cosmetic brand is pretty impressive considering how we are being given 4 shades, all of which look like wall plaster *cough* lakme *cough*
Good job, Nykaa!! Impressive none the less.
EDIT: I got an ad for lakme in the end of this video uuuh-🙊
*The root cause behind Lakme's racism is its owner Simone Tata, a white woman!*
My real problem with this product is how they have jumped on the inclusivity-bandwagon to promote/market it when it’s remotely inclusive to begin with 🤦🏽♀️
#mySkinIsNotATrend
Hey girl, can u please review juicy chemistry products
They launched 15 shades, out of which only 3 are there for the brown skintone. There are so many darker shades out there. Calling it in inclusive is so wrong. It's 2019 and we still find it difficult to find our shade. Aren't we the part of society as well?
I was waiting for your review! I trust your reviews blindly. I believe you are honest and true❤
Janvi Karbhari that’s just foolish.
I believe jovita blindly as well
I usually believe her too but this video felt different :/
I used to......but not anymore, not after this video.
This video felt like a robot being fed information to spew to us. You'd lie to us just to stay on the good side of a shitty brand?
I just wanna say something is better than nothing...but m still waiting for brands to work on undertones ....there are many people in India which are not just from darker tones but also have different undertones altogether....so it's still a non satisfactory launch.. however I will appreciate them for the work....we have pink , olive, yellow, peach n many more undertones in between...hope to have someone catering to those things
The lightest shade is basically liquid paper.
Zainuba Ali is there any problem with that ?
Jasleen that shade looks lighter in the video, I have swatched it in nykaa store and it matches me
Jovita, can you recommend some rusty lipstick shades? There is one in colorbar lipstain in shade rustic but I have heard that it's very drying
Is this suitable for oily skin?
If they sponsor, it’s good. If they don’t, it’s bad. Was your fan till now but not anymore.
Ok boo. I keep it honest here. I do t even have to disclose this video being sponsored. But I did. Cuz I 👏 keep 👏it 👏honest 👏 Rest is up to you.
i think she is honest with the video. its oxidises very quickly as i used it and she mentioned that point as well.
We are talking about a person who is not talking about major major brand due to her belief in cruelty free product. Do you think Nykaa will pay her more than Mac..Just a thought ..
Hey which shade do you use in maybeliine ???
The video was really helpful😊...can you please tell me what mac nc shade are you, because I think your skin tone matches mine.
Why Jovita !Why !?? This shade range from Nykaa is disappointing like other Indian brands. I am dark skinned with an olive undertone ,none of these shades suit me .And nykaa has only 3 shades for dark skin .This is definitely not inclusive.
So disappointing to see her being bought off
You're so right about how change has to come from us.
Thank you for writing this down. This is common reality and people are conveniently forgetting and denying this.

I saw this line yesterday and I was waiting for you to drop the review!!
Lmao. This looks like the shade range for the initial release of the Beauty Blender foundation. 3-4 token brown shades with a millions shades of beige.
Hey Jovi.....love your goggles. Where did you get them
not inclusive and they copied NARS packaging. WTF. Can't trust these reviews. disappointed!
i appreciate the attempt to make an inclusive shade range but the reality is that it really is not. i understand that they dont put out a wide range of dark colours because people dont buy them but when a consumer does not have their colour, they will be forced to settle for a lighter one. By putting out such a wide range for fair, they are infact re enforcing the idea that fair is better.

@@MrJovitageorge thank you so much for replying and reviewing this product. I will go buy this now, probably true toffee is my match.
Please tell me best foundation of combination skin.

Too faced is my fav from all the ones you mentioned.

legit only the last 3 shades cater to dark her and she says its "inclusive"....absolute rubbish! so disappointed to see this coming from someone who has been so vocal about shade range issues till now...the justification that people don't buy dark shades is quite rubbish (and if she is allowing nykaa to use this justification then all other brands like Lakme should also not be expected to produce dark shades)....money changed her honesty and opinion...unsubbed
So true....my friend got the foundation and she didn't even like it. Also, the dark shade didn't even suit her skin.
