Global Hotkeys - Stage 1
Escape - Options screen
Enter - Chat with everyone
Backspace - Chat with just allies
Hold right mouse - Rapid scroll
Space bar - Jump to last radar event
S - Stop
X - Scatter your units
V - Evacuate
A - Attack move
G - Guard area
R - Guard air
H - Jump to command centre
Ctrl (hold) + click - Force fire

I've been playing the game ever since I was a kid and never knew almost all the shit past the beginner other than the double tap to select units of same type.. This video sure was helpful
I've been playing the C&C series since forever ago and today I learnt that I'm peanut for not knowing that shift clicking was a thing, new things everyday I guess 😂
I played General and Zero Hour, now with Contra Mod but never asked me about hotkeys until today if there is a "follow unit" command, but good to know the formation movement key, Thank You very much, it will help me in further games.
Very useful. Some things I didn't even know!
Perhaps useful to add the 'multiple waypoint' if your (only) Airfield is destroyed and MiGs, Raptors, Auroras or whatever air units have released their payload. They will tell you that they 'can't stay up much longer' and will die soon enough. With the ALT button and selecting an area back and forth, back and forth whilst rebuiling an Airfield, they won't die. It doesn't take that long to select and it won't make you lose aircraft.

I have the German version of the game, and for some reason I can't move the camera with my arrow keys unless I'm also pressing alt. damn weird. I would love to just use the arrow keys, I just have no idea how. I looked into this XCC mixer thingy, but I can't find the entry I need to change. help would be appreciated thanks!

I have a big problem. I use the arrow keys to move the shorter distances. Im very sloppy with mouse panning. Holding down the mouse 2 is hard for me. I always fly past where i wanna go lol.
@DoMiNaToR hey, liked your all vids. 2questions. how do you set rally points for all your barracks or war factories when you are away from from your town? and how do you create units when you are away from your town?
Hey . First you assign your war factory with cntrl+1 or(2 or 3....) and you just tap 1 one time and it will be selected you can after that train troops or set rally point ( need lot of practice to be fast in that)

Thanks @DoMiNaToR, this is awesome. I got a question for you -- in some of your games I see that when you snipe a dozer with Jarmen and enter it to steal it, before Jarmen enters the dozer you move the screen to your base and can immediately build a command center as soon as Jarmen enters the dozer (which doesn't show on your screen). How do you do this without selecting the dozer first and then moving your screen to your base? I assume you use some combination of hotkeys? To make it more clear, how do you build a command center immediately when your Jarmen steals a dozer outside your screen?

Select the dozer and scroll to your base fast or select the dozer and click the mini map
1. Click to enter the dozer
2. Select it while it's still neutral or in enemy control if you're using a hijacker
3. Quickly move your camera to where you want to build (scroll, F-key, minimap)
4. Get ready to hotkey C build the command center or hotkey R to build a power plant once the dozer is yours
5. You can press S after to hotkey even more scaffolds

Is there a hotkey that allows you to jump between idle workers? I honestly don't like pressing the button on the screen every time I need a worker.

When creating control groups (Alt+Number) the only numbers are from 1-0 right? Or is there anyway I can add more than this number for example I want to create 11 or 12 groups etc. Is it possible?

I played this game as a kid how tf I miss the hotkeys???! and here I am in 2018 just to copy the mouse controls for my own rts game
isn't it easier to use the scroll wheel for zooming, rotating the camera and reset it? I'm actually surprised pro players use the numpad for it
Numpad is easier and feels faster
I could of swore there was a way to select a unit like an aircraft or anything for that matter and make them patrol an area like maybe move from point a to b then c and then just keep repeating that on there own moving back and forth. You see it alot in the some of the campaign missions.
Don't think its possible. Only waypoint using ALT
