It takes a great guy to own up to his mistakes. No body is perfect. Life lessons are expensive and eye opening. Will always remember this one for next time. Keep up the great work.
Bro, I’ve been doing interior remodeling & renovation for years. Your videos have inspired me to start offering exterior living spaces beyond the normal outdoor kitchen.
Thank you for showing the mistakes and the solutions. Very helpful. I’m going to take it to the next step and point out something that no one else has done yet. You misspelled a word at the very end!!! Yes, I know, grammar nazi. But I had too. Lol. Thanks again for the videos.
Love the honesty guys..always amazing watching the projects coming together.. Keep on doing what you are doing. And big kudos to the video editor..a little sprinkling of magic to put this on out screens
Just started watching your channel and I am totally impressed how well you do both pavers and hardscaping as well as carpentry and decking very rare that a company can do both with such professionalism on both aspects love the channel keep up the great work
Hopefully those issues don't take the wind out of your sail! I get the vibe that solutions or options were presented to the client and ultimately they wanted what was agreed on in the pretty rendering. Because they've probably never made an honest mistake right. If it was me, and I'm extremely OCD, I would've allowed the thicker trim board. Once the railing is up, no one will ever know!
We’re getting back on track! We actually didn’t even bring it up to the client, and they honestly probably wouldn’t have cared if we used a slightly bigger piece, but everything else worked out so perfectly we decided we just had to do it haha
We had a couple on this one. We went with single screw and it worked out. But we usually try to plan ahead as much as possible to avoid those really tiny pieces if possible!
@@THEpremieroutdoorSeriously though, a builder friend of mine always says, "We do it right, because we do it twice." I love all the work you show and I enjoy learning from experts in the field.
Catdaddy!!!! No you didn’t!!!!! Well gat damn, imagine that, you made a mistake ....... you’re value just went up seeing as you’re not going to shortcut fix it 👏👏👏👏👏 now knock that shit off and measure twice cut once slick!
Honesty is worth two birds in the tree! You guys rock!
Really appreciate that Jeff! Mistakes happen often it’s all about how you deal with them!

Cant learn lessons if you don't make mistakes! Thanks man!
Respect guys. Very proud of you for being honest! Great job on your decks and vlogs!
Respect for showing the mistakes! Loving the series!
Thanks a lot man! Trust me, we make our fair share of mistakes 😅
Great video as always guys. 👍👍🏴🏴
Appreciate it Tony! Thanks for all the support as usual!
I like a company that wear their hearts on their sleeves and their projects on their faces 👍😆
🙌🏻🙌🏻

Humble true craftsmanship, 🙏 your new child is blessed.
Thanks a lot Shane !
Tony should write an inspirational book. A children's book maybe. But a book none the less.
Ill make sure he adds it to his vision board!
I love the honesty. We all make mistakes, its all about the solution and knowledge learned from it. Keep up the great work. I love the series.
Really appreciate that! Setbacks and mistakes happen all the time it’s how you handle it that matters!
Major expansion and super tight installation - sounds like my weekends! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Quite the weekend it sounds like 😳
@@THEpremieroutdoor absolutely dude!
Thanks for showing the hiccups! It’s so good to see and hear that even pros make mistakes. Thanks for sharing the process!!!
We definitely make our fair share of mistakes 🤣 Glad you’re liking it my friend!
Thanks for sharing the bevel details on the inlays!
It’s a good little tip for stuff like this!

Hahah we make plenty of mistakes so we’ll have to show them more and how we handle them!
Love the honesty guys..always amazing watching the projects coming together..
Keep on doing what you are doing.

Really appreciate that Simon! And I’m also the editor so that means a lot, I have a lot of fun with it!
Gorgeous work, folks! Looking forward to seeing the finished project. Mistakes happen. Own them and keep moving forward. Love the integrity!
Thanks so much, it’s all about how you handle the mistakes that matters!
Looks really nice love the deck designs. I'm a landscaper from the netherlands.
Thanks so much! So cool that our video has reached that far!
Has to be the best deck company out there!! Love every project!
Really appreciate that my friend!!
Bro, you about to go to target practice?? Jk, I've been binging all y'all's videos. I can't get enough of it. Thanks for the content.
Hahaha I was confused about this comment then I remembered I was wearing those dumb sunglasses 🤣🤣

Thanks a lot kevin, I really appreciate that! Glad you’re digging the channel so far!
I agree, these guys are ethical, humble and have pride in what they do. Very rare nowadays. 🙏
Great sweatshirt….Go Birds!
Hell yeah, go birds!!
Love it
Thanks a lot David!!

“You gotta leave 12” for expansion and contraction” 😂🤣
I knew it would be coming in the comments on this one 🤣🤣
That track is going to take a finger
Looks amazing.. which plug system are you using? Do you just go by feel when you’re facing screwing or do you use one of those special bits?
No one gonna mention that YOU'RE SLEEPING IN A VAN...DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!
How do you deal with the tiny corner pieces you sometimes get with your inlays? Single screw? Or do you glue them down?
We had a couple on this one. We went with single screw and it worked out. But we usually try to plan ahead as much as possible to avoid those really tiny pieces if possible!
How do you like that 24” Johnson level? Also do you prefer the magnet instead of the non magnet level? Any certain reason?
Its a decent level, the magnet is honestly more annoying than useful. But we do use it to grab broken bits out of screws sometimes...
@@THEpremieroutdoor I figured that the magnet would be annoying. Thanks for the reply 👍🏻
Looks awesome! Where is skeeter? (I think that’s what his name is)
He’s moved on!
This shit didn't happen when Scooter was in charge.
Hahah damn I guess you’re right 😳

That thumb nail lol
🤣🤣 appreciate it my friend
Hate to see it boss! 😅
It happens plenty on the jobsite so it’s all about rolling with it once they pop up 🤣
Oh man, that sucks about the setback :/
Gotta roll with it once it happens, we’ll be back on track here shortly!
Can you not just take off the front rim joist and cut all the joists back 3/4 inch? Rather than taking everything apart?
That’s essentially what we did, but the stairs on that corner of the deck made it a little more of a pain in the ass
Ah, didn't think about the stairs. Yeah that would be a pain but props to y'all for doing it right. Excited to see the final product!
Y so little rise and so much run
We want all the stairs the same around the whole project and most are only 3 risers so we want it to be a nice easy relaxed step
Oh ok. Those screw ups happens to all of us no matter how good u are. Been there
Where’s Pat???
He moved on to greener pastures!
@@THEpremieroutdoor you murdered him didn't you?
we are all thinking it. he held the camera just a little too loosey goosey.

I don’t know what type of voodoo slipped into my brain on this one, but at least the inlay detail turned out perfect 😅
oof
