Tree of the Week: Staghorn Sumac

Staghorn sumac is a native, deciduous tall shrub or small tree of forest edges and disturbed sites. It is an important wildlife tree because the sumac seeds and fruits are eaten by many species of upland gamebirds, songbirds, and mammals.
