I own the 2021 Node version. Works great, love the Bluos app and the price was truly at the limit of my finances. The upgrade touts performance equal to units at twice the price. I find this fairly amusing considering the cost of the upgrade creates something that is, in fact, twice the price.

The point of this upgrade, is that you get to keep the most user friendly network player in the market, with the sound quality of the high end players. Yes, there are better players out of the box, but most of them have crappy user interface.

Is there much benefit in doing this if I’m using the N130 as a streamer only with an external DAC? Is it primarily designed to improve internal DAC performance is what I’m asking?

I installed one of these kits, a bit different, but the sound improvement took the Node to a new level. I like the way this Prado unit works, removing the entire power board vs installing an upgraded power board and using an external linear power supply. The sound improvement was very noticeable and well worth the less than $300 cost to upgrade. I would not hesitate doing it again.

I ordered the teddy mini for my node n130. Came in like 3 days. It greatly improved the sound. I listen to my hifi more often now. Great product. The mini has a great toroidal power supply. Close to 19000 mf of capacitance. Very well built.

Can I place the Node on top of the power supply when listening or should it be placed at a distance away? I’m a bit limited on space and don’t want to place it on the ground as I use the Node in an automotive shop.

I was considering this upgrade for my 2i but it cost like $590 cad plus tax and delivery…. That’s more then I paid for the node itself…. Why so expensive?….
There are in 3 options I found and they are all very expensive so I will probably just save up and get the eversolo dmp -a6 master edition…

Cost is just 425 usd for the Node2i kit, and it is a HUGE improvement over the original form.

Ya I have no doubt that it is a big improvement over stock ps but I’m paying in cad plus tax it would be well over 600 for me. I found similar lhy audio upgrade for about 400 but it’s through eBay and that can be sketchy so….IDK….

I'd assume when you open the Bluesound Node, it voids the warranty.

Theoretically yes, however there is no "seal" and this conversion is completely reversible.

Hi Colin. It really transforms the Bluesound into an audiophile player. So you have the benefit of the great user interface plus great sound.

I just use the node for the streamer and just use the coax out. I simply used a 5v battery bank to power the 5v in on the node. Huge difference. Better than any mains linear power supply.

Seems simple enough though knowing my luck I would bugger something up. Do you sell this product suitable for Australian input voltage 230 / 240 volt? Does it come with a suitable mains power cable to match the country it is ordered from?

We have a dedicated version for Node2i. Main difference is that the 2i version has an internal board with voltage regulators, in addition to the external power supply.
