- In this video I unbox, test and review the Kindling cracker. Over the years I have seen this product and I've always wanted to see if it was any good. Well in this video I use it to cut some of my firewood in the log shed.
Turns out it is! it split every pice of wood I fed into it! But the most impressive thing about this "wood Cracker" or " Wood Splitter" depending what you call it. Is that it's the safest way to split wood down to kindling size. Never catch your hand with the axe again!
Cutting fire wood for the farm is an important job and its something we do weekly to heat the house.
This Kindling Cracker was designed in New Zealand and manufactured in Australia.
Hope you enjoy the video.

Gruff! We love this! We're the European Distributor of the patented Kindling Cracker and are delighted you're a fan! 🔥
It’s a great piece of kit!! 😁💪🏻💪🏻
I read one wood splitting guy said not to screw it down because sometimes the wood gets trapped and you have to turn it over to hammer it loose . How do Cracker users feel about that,,,Screw it down or leave it loose ?
I’ve never jammed anything in mine?
Good job thanks for sharing safer is always better
😊
Perfect marriage advice!
😅😅
Looks good, Gruffydd. Fasten it to a secure chopping block, wear gloves and eye protection, and you'll be in production.
Blwyddyn newydd dda.
Great tips!😊 Blwyddyn newydd dda I chi hefyd 👍🏻👍🏻
I think it is obvious that the blade is set too low and the retaining ring a bit too high. A really good concept but what happens when the cast ring is hit hard as it inevitably will be.
Haven’t broken mine yet…
Hi Gruff, I very much doubt your wood splitting days are over with there mate, it’s like buying a puppy for the kids guess who is the only one who takes rover out for walkies yep you guessed right 😂.
You got that right!! 😂
Think I'l stick to my trusty axe!
Good old trusty axe!! 💪🏻
your chopping block is about 10cm too tall for you and perhaps 20cm too high for the little lady to manage, it is also about 50 cm small in diameter, here in ausie we use a stump, much stronger than further up the tree and pretty useless for burning. A good chopping block is worth its weight in gold. By the way I would try to fix the splitter to the chopping block so it is easier for her indoors to manage and it would curve her over use of kindling once she has to split it herself lol keep smiling ... and happy new year to yourself and yourn.
Thanks for the pointers 😊 happy new year to you too 👍🏻
Boy are you in trouble now.... Are you sure you're going to be alive to make another video? 🤣
