I only listen to shitty pop music when I'm writing essays, because albums like this are too good to be played when I'm writing a shitty fucking essay. It's preposterous.
I can't understand how people can concentrate to school work while listening to music. For me it's just impossible :D
Studies have shown that listening to music around 120bpm accelerates learning and thought process. This is because it synchs up with alpha wave brain activity. This is why a lot of baroque period classical is listened to by the intellectual crowd.
For a lot of people music isn't distracting, in fact it helps us focus because it drowns out outside noises/distractions.
I usually listen to music when I'm working on anything, it helps me focus on the task at hand.

Seriously one of the sickest albums ever. I've played this on YT at least 50 times just to give it a higher view count even though I own the album. Eagerly anticipate anything with Keith and Wes on it. Also excited for the next Conquering Dystopia album if there is going to be one. Rock on Keith.

They Killed it Last Night in St. Louis and I had the great privilege of being front and center to watch Wes go into the "Zone" and damn near make me have an outer body experience from his otherworldly soloing skills!!! Merrow and Wes made a masterpiece with this album and I hope it is getting all the recognition it deserves! I want Wes' lead tone on S-Gear, Amplitube , Bias or whatever but I want it. It's so heavy and yet so clean and smooth. The perfect tone for metal imo.
