You guys have played at the highest caliber and not released any lousy or sub-par studio albums. "Galleries of Morbid Artistry" is one I've got on repeat. That gorgeous break before the solo and then into that hellish "DESCENDING DOWN THE SKELETAL STAIRCASE". fuck yes

No fillers, just awesomeness from start to finish. "Stranger and Eternal" is the highlight from the album, clearly right from the first listen. Love this band.

Genuinely one of the best bands to ever do it. Lessons In Occult Theft and Strange And Eternal are really doing it for me right now. The whole album is great, though. You dudes don't disappoint. Also, wanna say rest easy to Trevor. For one of the last tracks to ever have his legendary vocals, it's one hell of a track.

that's what i was thinking on first listen through. Had it on in the background and was like "DAMN this shit is nasty" then five minutes later "DAMN this shit is nastier!" and its the same fuckin song

Don't overlook their EP, Teratogenesis
One of my favorites by them.
Although I've listened to metal since mid 90s, I never truly gave these guys a chance until this release. This shit slays, I'm particularly impressed by some of the lead work, the vocals are very consistent and spot on.
Their last 4 albums are as good as anyone on the planet.
Revocation is a band that doesn't get a huge amount of hype but their consistency and insane quality inevitably brings more fans, welcome to the party 🤘
Dave delivers the lead work on every album his phrasing is all time level

Revocation's music has always been top tier, not a single bad album nor a song, but I have to say that this album is beyond my expectations, what a masterpiece by a band that can only make masterpieces
So damn good. I'll never get tired of Dave's music. There are some downright filthy riffs in Lessons in Occult Theft and Re-Crucified. Thanks for another insane album.

-Heavy! The new "Madness Opus/Crumbling Imperium mid-tempo banger? 13:06 for Slayer. 14:25 for heavy return with a VENGEANCE!
(4) STRANGE AND ETERNAL (favourite song)
-SO DYNAMIC, twisting up and down the fretboard! 17:00 EVIL riff! 18:16 damn good trill-riff. 20:16 EVIL riff with a choir of possessed men!
(5) GALLERIES OF MORBID ARTISTRY (2nd favourite)
-23:03 Lovely melodic chorus riff!!! 24:32 clean guitar sex. 24:50 + 25:08 HARMONIC CLIMAX!

-Love that oldschool death tremolo main riff! 41:47 harmonized tremolo intensity. 44:26 love that harmonized "wail" when the solo comes back!
Great sum up of memorable moments. Still making my way through it right now. Already surprised I could already listen to it at 00h00 9/9 (Dutch time). Btw ain't there a woman opera'ing above Dave blended into the mix towards the end of Strange and Eternal at 20:18?!

Just had my first full listen though...Another stack of fucking slappers from Revo. The same ferocity, textures, and variety of riffage I've come to expect, and just like each proceeding album, outdoes itself in all the right ways. I've always said that Revocation is a musician's metal band and that has never been more true. Thank you, Sir Davidson and co. It's been a long 4 years.💪🏻🤘🏻

I love how Intervening Abyss turns into a Death song for a minute. Great album! Missing some of the longer melodic sections but they're still there so I'm happy.
Man I'm sooo getting stuck on this album for a long while, everything is perfect, dynamic, melodic and progressive as it should be, there is never a bad Revocation album, bravo Dave Davidson

What a nice surprise I was expecting another single before the album dropped I thought it was tomorrow thanks for the Sneak Peak definitely on repeat. Especially love the slower parts like Galleries of Morbid Artistry and the End of Godforsaken when the guitars start the solo is pretty amazing.

With this album i found Revocation. In my opinion Revocation one of the best modern metal band. One of the best albums of the year, bravo!

One of the best to do it. Revocation are not only incredibly skilled individually, but they are also great song makers-something that I feel is often amiss in heavy music.

How does a four-piece become a three-piece and sound even better than before? Incredible.
Because Dave probably had about 50 guitar tracks all precisely aligned to get that thick sound.
They also play as a four-piece live with a killer stand-in guitarist, so "technically" not much has changed.

Wow! Really sick album from start to finish. I've respected these guys in the past but could not really love their music for some reason, yet I really enjoyed this album. Hopefully these guys grow on me in the future :)
Three tracks in and I already knew this was going to be my metal AOTY. After listening to the whole thing, I can say this is my favorite Revo album to date.
I love Revocation but Meshuggah came out this year too...

I'm gonna be completely honest with y'all, I mainly checked out this band because I really like the guitarists name. It lived up to the expectations.

This band has no released a bad album, okay the debut could maybe do with a remaster, but aside from that, this band just releases masterpiece after masterpiece 🤘🤘🤘

They're not just clean vocals. They're harmonized which reminds me a lot of Alice In Chains. It adds a lot of flavor to the songs. You can find some of their best instances of this technique on their album Great Is Our Sin.

Bruh bleed the future isnt even close to be as good as this. It's mediocre, repetitive and sometimes generic. It's like a cheap copy of relentless mutation, which is a really good album

The vocalist is the lead guitarist who is probably the best in the world of Tech Death.
@@andrewkeen3129 I mean, Dave has certainly been, and is, one of the front-runners of technical metal guitar playing - but more in a mix of riff-lord and tasty leads with different approaches (scales & phrasing). Plus, Revo's thrashy roots probably hold them a little back from 'pushing the boundaries' - but the thrash adds to my enjoyment.
We can still go back to Muhammed Suicmez (Necrophagist) and Jonas Bryssling (Spawn of Possession) to find "the best" in the genre - and Malcolm Pugh (Inferi), Phil Tougas (First Fragment, Equipoise), Nick Padovani (Equipoise, Virulent Depravity), and Tom Fountainhead (Obscura, Nyn) are leading the charge today imo. - when it comes to writing truly outrageous stuff.

Album absolutely rips. I have to say when Revocation started going in the direction of more death metal rather than the tech-thrash they started off as I was bummed but they've evolved it into such a sick style. One of their best albums imo
