We wanted to incorporate the real ghostbusters Stay Puft Marshmallow Man toy into the playhouse in some way. After seeing a seek peek of a Ghostbusters: Afterlife Mini-Pufts Surprise Figures and Easter egg photo we decided to go with making a miniature Ghostbusters Stay Puft Marshmallow Man billboard. This Ghostbusters firehouse sign will attach to the back wall of the firehouse. This is another Ghostbusters firehouse playset update. We have finally started the details on the outside of the fire station exterior. This Ghostbusters playhouse has interior & furniture inspired from the 80's toys, movies and cartoons.
This update video is #11 in the series focused on making of the Ghostbusters playhouse firehouse façade. It's not a Halloween façade for a haunted house walkthrough maze full of DIY Halloween props but its kind of in the same ballpark as far as creating a themed prop. After all its Spook Central Ghostbusters headquarters. We are drawing inspiration for the design of this extreme DIY playhouse off the Ghostbusters filming locations. The exterior of the Firehouse building in New York, Hook & Ladder Company 8 and the interior of the Fire Station No. 23 in Los Angeles. The fire stations have been a filming location for several other shows and movies but as the home base for the Ghostbusters what better fire station could you model from for a kids playhouse. We also got a few ideas from looking over our sons Ghostbusters firehouse Playmobil set and the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters images online, wish we had that! Other inspirations for ideas came from the Ghostbusters video game and The Real Ghostbusters animated TV series cartoon.

I love the fact that you put the Hook & Ladder 8 logo outside the playhouse! I bought three of the patches when I visited NYC and the firehouse and have one to Dan Aykroyd when I met him in 2014. I want to go back so badly!!

AAAAHHHHH! I love it! You guys are SO amazing. I had the same thought about not painting the metal step, but Jeana saved the day with her awesome painting / weathering skills. All it’s missing is some up-lights to illuminate it at night.
Yes! We are hoping to add lighting to the sign as well. Just not sure which direction we are going to go yet.

They sold stay puft marshmallows for the year of 2016! They were Slimer and Stay Puft Marshmallow Man shaped, which was cool.

Stay puff marshmallows were real but they went out of buisness so Columbia pictures claimed the name and put a copy right on it so they can use it for ghostbusters
Love reproducing anything. Painting wise. No as good at the building things
Painting can be a lot of fun once it starts coming to life.
