This is why we down 70%, need your perks gone buddy. Get back to work. You listen to me now, I own Meta shares

Dang bro can you tell those people to answer the phone bruh why am I banned
i like the voiceover so much better than music and subtitles like other videos
Thanks! I appreciate it :)
Really love how you make the voice over is so satisfying with the music.
Having an entire building to yourself seems like the best work environment ever!
Hahaha true!
Unless you are self employed 😄
@croatabroad these guys make more money than you'll ever make and more money than 99% of the people who "escape" 9-5
@croatabroad you don't have a job?
Seems impersonal and lonely.
As a CS major, this video got me so so motivated to work harder.Keep up the good work!
Lol
17 years experienced SE here and I am telling you this guy is going places, best of luck
he hasn’t posted in forever
He was able to socialize more in that one bus ride than me my entire life
Same🤣 and with girls being an introvert. He said more words to them than me telling a girl my entire life.
@@samareshdas767 just do it guys. its not difficult. try it, when something akward happens, no problem, next time will be smooth.
Great video Tyler. I am a Systems Engineering student and watching your video was very exciting for me. Greetings from Argentinian.
Tips:
1) Understand
- What is the expected result?
- What is my role?
- What is the purpose of the task?
2) Explore
- Look at the existing code
- Find blockers early
- Search for things that are confusing
3) Plan
- Prioritise what to implement first
- Split a task into sub-tasks
- Organise code
4) Execute
- Start coding!
- Implement sub-tasks
Great video. It's very relaxing and imformative to watch . Looking forward for more videos.
You opened calendar images and not the actual calendar had me dying 😂😂😂😂
The internship program at Meta is SO good, thanks for creating this (love the music!)
"I like to come to the office because I get more focused, after two years of Covid I'm done working from home" YES!!! finally someone feels like me! altough I prefer the "hybrid" mode but still, I'm really not into full WFH mode, is a constant struggle the ADHD XD
Now I understand why there are so many Tech layoffs. Holy F*** these guys are 90% eating/snacking/restroom & 10% working 😅
It seems most Meta interns and engineers really do work for most of the day. That's very rare compared to most SWEs
Hey Tyler, that was a really nice, cheerful video 👍 Keep going, dude 👊
So happy you graduated you inspire me to work hard and get into tech
OMG bro love the video and lifestyle.. everything is beautiful where you are!! Laid back and very peaceful.. blessed you and love from Atlanta ga ❤️
Perfect example of work-life balance.
Hi Tyler, great video. Liked the mini presentation about understand and explore, etc. I’d really like to know more. All the best 😊
Wow, it's really interesting to see what a day in the life of a software engineering intern at Meta looks like. I love that they take a shuttle to the office and that there's always someone to talk to. And it's cool to see that the office is never really full, but the interns seem to be having a great time.
I also appreciate Tyler's approach to software development, breaking tasks down into a four-step process, and seeking to understand exactly what he's supposed to be doing before diving in. It's also great to hear that he's receiving regular feedback from his manager and peers, which is helping him stay on track with his performance goals.
Overall, it seems like Tyler is having a productive and enjoyable day at work. It's inspiring to see how he's working hard, staying focused, and enjoying his time with his colleagues. I can only imagine how exciting it would be to work at Meta and be a part of such an innovative and dynamic team.
All these videos now have a good explanation on why most websites/services are slow, barely working, hard to use.
dude walked in on a sunday and faked his whole workday 🤪
wake up,eat, work, eat, some hobby, sleep, repeat
still waiting to see interesting "day in the life" video
Actually one of the few "day in the life" videos that actually have some inherent value :D You're gonna be great SWE one day ;)
1. A HUMAN GERBIL
2. EATS FROM ROLLING WHEEL
3. DOES TASKS FROM INSTRUCTIONS
4. LOOP
Really informative yet relaxing video! Love the voiceover, edit, transitions 👌🏽
Are you single 💔
!?
Everytime I watch vlogs from people who work at this gigantic companies, be it Microsoft or Meta, there is always one thing in common. They seem like they are always eating throughout the day LoL
His friend showed great maturity and foresight by refusing to be shown on film. 😁
WAHOOOO!!! 🥹✨🥳 go Tyler!!
Love this video watched it till the end!
Really great day in the life Tyler!
I am still waiting for your new videos
😎😎👍👍
This job is perfect, eat, more food, long walks to... eat and drink and walk again for a snack, some meetings and you know what... dinner, when it's not dark yet, yes! eat eat eat!!!
cool video tyler, also the like button is working for me xD
this video made interning at meta look like a dream! Im currently a freshman in college, hoping I'll get lucky in the future
I worked as an entry level technician at Meta years ago...I slept at Facebook parking lot because they want you to work from 8AM-12PM, 3PM-6PM, and then 8PM-1AM....then back to work at 6AM again....
Every visual was so amazing ❤️
The food part of this video... raises more questions than answers imo
As a software engineering major, this video definetly motivates me to work harder on my studies!
This is actually helping me choose a career. I love technology and when I see tech companies treating their employees like this and offering so many facilities, it really gets me to wanna work in this field and these companies.
@john doe that is so untrue. First of all more than 90 percent is ridiculous, if it was that miserable nobody would be becoming a developer.
@john doe coal miners arent devs?
Software engineer role mostly eating+visiting. Sometimes work open lap and close it
It gives me hope hearing that someone is also fed up with home office. Kudos for biking routine!
great video! keep making more i really enjoy watching it!🚀
Surprised by the quality of your video! Nice vid
Awesome video 😎 👍
Great! Keep uploading more videos bro!🔥
Couldn't do a commute nowadays
Remote 100% for me
Loved this video :)
Dream do come true
Hey, I'd like to hear/watch more about your four step process. Great video! Thanks!
Great video! The only thing I wish it had were the timings for each activity
Wow! Beautiful stuff!
I enjoyed this one! Subscribed 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for sharing, Can you make a video about the 4 steps you follow ... Thanks
1:45 :D You are tired of working from home? :D Lmao! Said no one ever :D
Hey, please delve deeper into what is involved at the beginning stage of working on a task. I often find it difficult to understand functionality especially when dealing with database table names and being unfamiliar with the structure of the entities and their relationships, with no documentation.
OMG a whole plate of broccoli!?!? Thats hilarious. HAHAHAhahaha...
The internship program at Meta is SO good,
then mark slowly starts crawling across the roof and being like "hello fellow humans... work good?"
using it for a few years and now I want to upgrade and I'm happy I did that.
So cool! Keep up the great work ;)

Love the video ❤
How beautifully he hide all confidential things
Is appreciable
Bro do you still have a job now?
Wow Man! I love what you said!! I am so impressed to this world..i work on Milan on It Department and... wow,.i would like to see other videos about you💪
When I watch these vid on day in the life of software engineering I have always this feeling : There a few people working in these huge office.
The real question is what do you do while your code is compiling 🤔😂
Yessir building 20/21 is the best!
Missing that rooftop garden every day 😭
😭😂 you in the meeting alone I loved this video
I like how these day in the life videos doesn't show you the dark side of this..... it's not all sunshine, rainbows and snacks. It's deadlines, middle mangement, when is the eta ? etc. Squeezed for productivity basically. Maybe this is just my experience, but yeah.
I don't really like these "day in the life videos" for that reason. Although I can't stop watching.
It's all so staged with the bus to work, stopping for breakfast and snack breaks, and so overly stale
It's not real life
@@TheWeightliftingTriathlete just becouse some people daily routines are different from you doesn't make unrealistic for them , sure it's unreleastic for you but not for everyone.
It's such a weird lifestyle for me. I was a coder in 1967 ( that's 55 year ago!!!) and it was Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo different to today. Fascinating to see the change
Fang employers have a very different lifestyle compared to the norm too
lol
> software engineers don't have too many meetings or notifications
Me looking at my calendar: Wait, am I not a software engineer? 😳
Hope you survived the mass layoff my dude
Cool to see this, my dream life! I will get this life!
That's an interesting watch, which one is it , Tyler ?
Wow.! 😲 Excellent 👍
I would love a video on that four step process!
Great video 👍♥️
could you please make a video on your journey from beginner to intern at meta??
amazing video!!
Amazing video it is very engaging and informative. Just a quick question do they give you a laptop at meta or do you bring your own?
200% sure they would give you a laptop
This is a whole lot of doing nothing and a lot of eating and relaxing. No wonder there’s been so many lay offs.
Engineers at Meta work their ass off. The video is only happy parts
@@ST-pq4dxhe isn’t that wrong tho, there were so many day in the life TikTok videos of girls taking 50 breaks at huge companies and working like 1 hour
You gained a sub!
It looks like you do very little during a day.
Just studying existing code and try to solve a minuscule problem?
I love your job bro.
Good video thanks a question the macbook you use is yours you bought it or did the company give it to you?
thanks
Still way too much meetings! 🤩
Why does his thumbnail look like a Facebook ad on youtube
Because this video is a facebook ad lol. You can hear the propaganda at 1:36
The task: "change class name of existing component from "list" to "full-list".. took whole day, 3 meals and 2 snacks .. bayeeeeee
so almost wonderful beautiful video friend Tyler
Has your attitude to Meta changed after Zack laid off 13% of the workforce?
Part of life in meta-
YOU'RE FIRED ☹️☹️
As a software engineer who just spent 2 days working on something before asking my manager questions, I can say you know da way
Amazing video Tyler! Loved that you sprinkled in bits on how you tackle engineering tasks, in between the different schotts (pun intended). Now I kinda want to work at Meta too... 😛
Thanks Ivan!! You should totally work there, I think you'd do well ;)
@@TylerSchott I am studying in b tech computer science I am weak in math can I learn coding please tell sir I am fro India
hey Tyler, where did you get your t-shirt and pants?
I literally took notes. You had a lot of interesting stuff besides the 4 step plan. Thank you and more to these kinds of vids. :)
What kind of backpack are you using? 🙂
Young and have bright future
Please tell me where the office is in Berlin, the purpose of the Facebook company, at what address is it located? And how does the procedure itself go, how can you contact support after arriving at the office, because in our country it does not work through the website, you need to unblock the page.
