Always meant to say it, I eventually got one. I went to a future shop like the week after you posted this, found a location with a couple and ended up getting it from a very nice employee who let me buy smash bros and return it immediately.
I bought my copy at Futureshop on day 1 and I was pleasantly surprised my the steelbook.
Just went to future shop and got this FOR FREE because I already own the game!

Retro Game Store near me, have been saving up for months to pillage their N64 games. Then they got in about 200+ GameBoy games which were all very cheap.

Very Awesome Nintendo Collecting!! I was notified by a guy I know in CA and he sent one my way (just waiting for it to arrive). I snagged it for $40 with shipping included. I thought it was worth it because the game is SO amazing! Can't wait to hold it in my hands. Thanks for doing an unboxing!
HOLY MOLY I got the Skyward Sword steelbook randomly for FREE from Future Shop when I bought Twilight Princess for my cousin, and I had no idea it was worth anything. It seems like when Nintendo ever releases any kind of bundle/steelbook/toy in semi-limited quantities they just sky rocket in price in like less than a year lol. Good thing I preorder these kinds of things, but I'm kinda kicking myself for not getting a Marth amiibo, even on launch day I couldn't find one, and my city isn't usually crazy with stuff like that. I managed to get the villager, and there is still a few Wii Fit trainers scattered about, so i should probably hunt those down.

No future shop near me D: and i wish there was but on the east cost of the us they lack alot of cool stores like this one. Wish i could get obe myself for a reasonable price but thanks for unboxing it. Looks really cool.

It is a rather odd situation with this one as it's the ONLY WiiU steelbook in a G2 (bluray) size where all the others are G1 (DVD) size. I am thinking it was a mistake during production but it was too far along to cancel so they just went with it.

I have both of those other steelbooks you showed, but i got mine for 3.33$ each because they were the last ones in stock and they were scratched. the zelda one was scratched on the back which sucks, and the mario one just had a few light scratches, but for 10$ to get 3 steelbooks, I thought it was a good deal, the other one was assassins creed on the vita
Does the steelbook have an indicator that this is official? I am just curious because most Nintendo products have an official seal and whatnot. I like the steelbook, but I am just asking this out of curiosity.
I dont live in Canada, but I bought one on ebay for $11 + $4 shipping USA. amazing value, though im worried about the shiping

Steelbooks are that interesting? I have 3, one that came with The last story, Tales of Xillia 2 and Pokémon Omega Ruby.
According to future shop's website all stores in my area have some and they are $9.99 so I may have to pick up a couple to sell. I've been trying to get Bayonetta cheap, maybe this will help me with that lol.

The manual does not fit inside unfortunately, i got it today.
Noob question (I don't mind). Why is the steelbook empty? I thought the steelbooks were an alternate game case for said game. In this case Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

The Blu-ray size steelbook is a bit of a nuisance for any anal OCD Wii U collector. Unless it's solely a financial investment, it wouldn't interest me. I'd rather have the regular amaray on my shelf.
