The G90 is on my wishlist, I've been using a (tr)uSDX as my first HF rig and POTA/SOTA hunting is pretty tricky with it. I've got this video saved and ready for when I get the G90 eventually. Very comprehensive and informative!
Thanks for mentioning the later version of firmware. My radio came preinstalled with a later version, and I can't figure out how to change the bandwidth for the life of me. I am convinced there's no way to do it. I've read through all of the limited documentation to no avail.
There was a version of the firmware that let you change it by pressing the function button then the CMP/F-L button to set the low side of the filter and function then NB/F-H for the high side. Give that a try and see if it works.

I'm tempted to try and Flash the 1.78 firmware back on I'm at 1. 8
You can always go back if you don't like it but I bet you'll stick with 1.78.
