I know it is mostly due to William H mcys amazing acting but in this episode when he pleads to the judge not to take his kids I actually felt sorry for him and believed him which just shows how masterful of a manipulator he is.
2:20 … this judge is a great guy buuuut no. Neglect is the most common form of abuse that parents do and even then what Frank normally does is not just neglect that’s Depraved Indifference of human life.
But it does also show the reality of law and injustice. Neglect is a form of abuse but according to law it’s not abusive enough to be seen as illegal or harmful enough for legal punishment and it’s horrible that the world is like that.
I always hated when the other kids treated Fiona like shit, she was the very reason that they are still alive. I was finally happy to see someone asking Fiona what she wants.
I think people mostly forget that fiona was a child who raised herself, and honestly she did the best with what she had, and honestly considering how much shit from frank and monica, constantly stealing the money she made to feed her siblings, she did a pretty good job. And honestly if she had set them all to a foster home, none of them would have turned out the way they did (which was somewhat decent), theirs a point in the series, that you just can’t discipline teens who dont want to listen to their sister. It would have been good for her to take liam but honestly by the time she left, all of them were adults any of them could take care of one child, she took care of 4-5 on her own.
I mean Frank was happier in life than most of us so many not you're a slave and aren't happy you spend year after year at work miserable until the one day a year you have free time then act like it somehow makes it magically all worth it because you're too proud to admit otherwise you have to base your entire personality around what you buy and own because you're a husk frank is a complete POS and a waste of life but he is free he had fun and he was happy
Its crazy how i got from clips that put Fiona in a bad spotlight, where she gets kicked out the house, the drug incident with Liam. But then I run into clips like this and i can see why things spiral out of control. Everyone is at fault someway or another. (Haven't watched the show, now i am)
Scenes like this make her exit seem very weird. She moves away in season 9 when Liam is like 9 or 10 years old, and we never hear from her again. She abandons him after becoming his guardian, but is never brought up.
What a deeply flawed, hurt, strong, intelligent and beautiful woman Fiona is. A woman worthy of respect. I'm sure Beth Dutton would agree. Same, but different.
Man i know how she feels I am raising my two sons N raising my father N mother to My parents Try to get along But dont .😢😢😢 I have lived this same same life N so many have N I think thats why this show Is so important to show the world. Every one isnt born with a sliver spoon
Watching this the first time: Fiona did the right thing wanting to protect her siblings from Frank and foster care at the cost of having her own life. Rewatching this after season 9: Fiona made a huge mistake sacrificing her life for those selfish, cruel, destructive, unappreciative brats and should’ve listened to this wise, caring and sensible judge!
This is not actually the way it would happen. She is far too young she is unmarried and she is not in a stabilized employment. The children would absolutely be remanded to a respite foster care while the father was in AA. But the sister would probably get guardianship or consultation rights and be visiting them on a regular basis. Source: I used to be a foster parent.
Nothing worse than a man claiming to love a woman seeing her doing everything she could. Keeping her life secondary. And then abandon her. People like Steve are far worse than frank.
The only thing Frank knows is where to find his next beer, he's a worthless "dad" that doesn't have any rights to those kids and he doesn't care about them at all
A couple of seasons later she told the kids to contact lip and not her because she has a chance to do something with her life- Carl and Debbie were still minors and Fiona was in the wrong
Your honor. Could you give me a list of other judges or ANY state officials, that people need to consult, and gain authorization from, before they start having children.
I still can’t get over the fact she left Liam she should have taken him with her as his guardian but instead to left him even if he didn’t want to go with her she was his guardian she should have taken him she left him behind idk I give Fiona grace bc she went through a lot but ughh her leaving Liam always bugged me she promised to take care of Liam till he was 18 and broke tht promise I don’t like tht
Anyone who thinks Fiona should be perfect and not make any mistake is an idiot. She raised herself and her whole siblings single handedly. So obviously she isn't a perfect because she had not good role model or parents to raise her right. People only see her actions but look at how she was raised. She has not time to grow up well because she was too busy taking care of her siblings.
Feel worst for the husband. Raising her siblings is his life for sixteen more years too before he has any freedom to pursue himself. Fiona's all he gets out of it.

Her story of being left on the side of the road at 6, with 2 babies- it was one of the saddest parts of this show. Fiona effed up later. She kinda deserved that moment. Look at what she accomplished, and the responsibility she was left with. Her life was never fair. And eff Jimmy/Steve.
Sad how she tried and fought for them and later when she’s down they quickly turn on her 😢
This is the hardest series for me to watch. I, Thank the God, grew up in a stable and loving family. I have zero idea on how hard it is to grow up in the family that this series is showing. However, I know there are families like that and that is what breaks my heart.
I have watched Shameless 3 times. And this is one of my favorite parts.
What arent all judges like this...they should be
Y'all im beyond late but the way he looked at fiona walking them out into the back yard whewww that was when he knew he found the right one 😭🤍🤍🤍
I can’t even watch the show anymore. It’s not the same without her
Only time someone asked about her and it was too late, she had already lost so much time 🥺
I know it is mostly due to William H mcys amazing acting but in this episode when he pleads to the judge not to take his kids I actually felt sorry for him and believed him which just shows how masterful of a manipulator he is.
I absolutely love the judge in this scene.
'They are great kids and they deserve better"
They have always been ungrateful to her...
I’ve never watched this series, but have fallen in love with all the characters watching clips. Well, except Mickey’s dad. 😂
It's crazy how she became what she hated later on.
Judge is that dude from Collateral who talks jazz with Tom Cruise.
I always hated when the other kids treated Fiona like shit, she was the very reason that they are still alive. I was finally happy to see someone asking Fiona what she wants.
I feel so for them😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
4:41 then they blew it 💔🙄
No wonder they never call him Dad
They did in the earlier seasons but with time they just called him frank
I think people mostly forget that fiona was a child who raised herself, and honestly she did the best with what she had, and honestly considering how much shit from frank and monica, constantly stealing the money she made to feed her siblings, she did a pretty good job. And honestly if she had set them all to a foster home, none of them would have turned out the way they did (which was somewhat decent), theirs a point in the series, that you just can’t discipline teens who dont want to listen to their sister.
It would have been good for her to take liam but honestly by the time she left, all of them were adults any of them could take care of one child, she took care of 4-5 on her own.
I just gotta say this but I’m someone in the Chicagoland area and I’ve never heard anyone talk like Fiona 😂
1:25 Luke Skywalker has seen better days.
Thats not mark hamill smh 🤣
I had to search up google to find out that is not same actor that play Luke Skywalker.
Lol dying frank at the end of the series “don’t worry have fun I sure did” lol well I can see that’s some terrible advice.
But didnt she just leave though at almost at the end of the season. 😂😂
This is when Frank officially lost the ability to call his kids "my kids"
Its crazy how i got from clips that put Fiona in a bad spotlight, where she gets kicked out the house, the drug incident with Liam. But then I run into clips like this and i can see why things spiral out of control. Everyone is at fault someway or another. (Haven't watched the show, now i am)
Scenes like this make her exit seem very weird. She moves away in season 9 when Liam is like 9 or 10 years old, and we never hear from her again. She abandons him after becoming his guardian, but is never brought up.
Nothing strange about it they killed off the actress happens all the time and the best way to deal with it is to not mention it
2:20 That's the biggest load of bs I've ever heard
2:08 They're actually pretty much all terrors and just terrible children but hey, haha.
Went through all that to immediately neglect and abandon them. 💅
What a deeply flawed, hurt, strong, intelligent and beautiful woman Fiona is. A woman worthy of respect. I'm sure Beth Dutton would agree. Same, but different.
they could never make me like you frank ♥
Man i know how she feels
I am raising my two sons
N raising my father
N mother to
My parents
Try to get along
But dont .😢😢😢
I have lived this same same life
N so many have
N I think thats why this show
Is so important to show the world.
Every one isnt born with a sliver spoon
What saison and episode please
Didnt know this show is great. Till this video.
We watch this as a show but to think this happens in real life is heartbreaking bc not everyone has a fiona
Fiona should have not Done this she should have take a sec to think about her life
Whats the movie
Hopefully when SHE needs help, everyone will step up and not treat her like dirt!
I never understood Frank's desire to have custody of the kids.
It’s a sense of control. Since he’s an addict, attempting to keep the kids is his only method of control he feels he has left and
And she basically left her dependent little brother behind with her incompetent dirt bag dad a few years later, WHILE HE WAS STILL A MINOR.
Wrong I got my niece and nefu and I was just like Fiona
4:00 💀
Nothing worse than a man claiming to love a woman seeing her doing everything she could. Keeping her life secondary. And then abandon her. People like Steve are far worse than frank.
Good thing in the story liine that Fiona still had a home. Otherwise who would want to watch that T.V. series anymore to be entertained.
wow i thought my childhood was bad.
same
Liam and Carl would've been great with the couple
But Frank would know how to get the kids into a good school. Education is so important.
The only thing Frank knows is where to find his next beer, he's a worthless "dad" that doesn't have any rights to those kids and he doesn't care about them at all
@@BC92Se7en I'm sorry if you're not familiar with the reference.
What movie or show is this?
It's called '' Shameless '' 😊
A couple of seasons later she told the kids to contact lip and not her because she has a chance to do something with her life- Carl and Debbie were still minors and Fiona was in the wrong
And you can't blame the kids for how they truned out, they just had really bad parents
Your honor.
Could you give me a list of other judges or ANY state officials, that people need to consult, and gain authorization from, before they start having children.
frank went to college.
This moment really makes her leaving the show nonsensical- she was Liam/Carl/Debbie’s legal guardian at the time in the show that she takes off.
Liam was the only one underage, Carl and Debbie were both adults when she left.
I totally forgot Goku was in the early seasons!
Well then take your children home ❤
I still can’t get over the fact she left Liam she should have taken him with her as his guardian but instead to left him even if he didn’t want to go with her she was his guardian she should have taken him she left him behind idk I give Fiona grace bc she went through a lot but ughh her leaving Liam always bugged me she promised to take care of Liam till he was 18 and broke tht promise I don’t like tht
Okay but judges are not allowed to have sidebar conversations with parties
Ahhhhh
Anyone who thinks Fiona should be perfect and not make any mistake is an idiot. She raised herself and her whole siblings single handedly. So obviously she isn't a perfect because she had not good role model or parents to raise her right. People only see her actions but look at how she was raised. She has not time to grow up well because she was too busy taking care of her siblings.
Feel worst for the husband. Raising her siblings is his life for sixteen more years too before he has any freedom to pursue himself. Fiona's all he gets out of it.
That was her boyfriend not her fiancé and definitely not her husband.
They definitely never married and they broke up because he is a con man that couldn't just be honest with her
@@jessicaw6930 ah, sorry ive only seen clips. i thought she mentioned in a prior one that she married someone and thought this might be him. This also looks like a scene very late into the show.
Thanks for the corrections.
@@Avenus112 she did get married just not to him :) although I would have loved if they could have worked it out
@karinalumen9722 nah, your lying narrative just proves your own lack of critical thinking and the only thing hateful here is in you, against trying to tell the truth.
Where is frank speech , that what i wrere searching for
All THAT JUST TO DRUG HER BABY BROTHER 😵
She took off way before Liam hit 18.
see now you cant call lip a complete asshole. the judge told her straigght up and she said yes. and she did ultimately end up going back on her word. im not saying she's a bad person or to blame either. its all just so complicated at the end of the day
My brother thinks this show is really well done and has tried to convince me to watch it. I'll grant him that it probably is well executed, but how anyone can get entertainment from this is beyond me.
Our father was a man like Frank Gallagher; I'm just glad it was just the two of us.
