- His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck was born on November 11th 1955. He became the 4th Druk Gyalpo ("Dragon King") aged 16, in 1972 after the death of his father, HM Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. He abdicated in favour of his eldest son, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, in 2006.💛🙏
