whilst i kind of agree (as someone who had dj'd since the early 90s, starting on vinyl). it limits you massively. i do 4 decks, live vocal with my GF and 2 samplers. plus 2 racks of FX. i can basically remix tunes on the fly and i am only limited by my skills. progress is sometimes good my man :P you cant loop vinyl without loads of samplers etc. i can loop with ease now. i also hate hearing flat beats or out of sync (heard it lots in this set) and him speeding up/slowing down. but maybe i hear that more than most? you dont get that much with digital now. plus we all mix harmonically now, so it sounds nicer in general.
@@kanedNunable I believe it's a whole different thing, I don't think you can compare what you do now vs. what you used to do in the early 90s. Playing vinyl is all about feeling. Choosing your records, touching them, carrying them with you... I am sure you know what I am talking about :) I also think that what makes it beautiful is imperfection. I personally enjoy the pitch adjustments. It's a real skill that some cannot master.

Un des seuls DJ qui m'enthousiasme parmi ceux qui ont percé ces dernières années sur la scène techno. Un DJ "à l'ancienne" qui ne cherche pas à faire le show derrière les platines en levant les bras sans arrêt, mais juste focalisé sur sa musique et dont l'énergie vous porte.
La plus part des DJ sont comme ça tout de même, faut juste pas se focaliser sur les gros festivals type Tomorrowland où sont tous les DJ "commerciaux".

halte das für relativ übertrieben. Ich habe noch nie jemanden besonders emotional werden sehen bei seinen sets. erst recht nicht so, dass jemand heult :D das passt einfach gar nicht zu seinem stil.

Und ich denke, wenn man mit einem seiner Tracks einiges verbindet, er genau diesen dann als Closingtrack spielt nach einem erstklassigen Set in einem noch nie so voll gewesenen Club, dann ist es okay wenn man einfach mal emotional wird. That‘s life! Jeder fühlt anders.
@@buddyogun2247 el cierre de hector en bogota colombia este año me hizo sentir lo mismo que a David luego de hacerme bailar 5 horas seguidas, verdaderamente sabe llevarte en un viaje de emociones, no solo es musica pesada como kobosil o spfdj, estoy de acuerdo con David en las emociones que te generan sus mezclas, un ejemplo es su cierre del set para Hor en noviembre de 2020 con una mezcla de dirty rocking bass y poem without words, ese cierre me hace aguar el ojo siempre que lo escucho. Para muchos tambien es nostalgico escuchar las bombas clasicas que tiene en vinilo. si eres algo sensible o conoces de cultura electronica me vas a entender. :)

These videos with the some audience very close to the DJ makes it so much more engaging to watch. Recorded sets can be at a legendary venue like Printworks, but the shots of the massive building and sea of people get boring fast, whereas this has an immersive quality. I dunno if the little crowds like this are just a bunch of heads and +1s, or some VIP group who get to be in the booth, but either way it makes the whole thing way more worth watching continually, kinda creates a feel more like being front-and-center, or even in the booth.
Hey dude it was "just one floor" of a techno festival that is yearly hosted in an old steel works in Germany. No VIPs or shit... Myself was dancing directly on the right side of the dj booth. there were no securities or shit...

I remember a boiler room performance where he had to constantly readjust the needle because of some stupid chicks jumping on the booth in front of him. And you can clearly see the struggle on his face. Besides all of that, this legend still manages to present superb quality mixing all the time🤯

These videos with the some audience very close to the DJ makes it so much more engaging to watch. Recorded sets can be at a legendary venue like Printworks, but the shots of the massive building and sea of people get boring fast, whereas this has an immersive quality. I dunno if the little crowds like this are just a bunch of heads and +1s, or some VIP group who get to be in the booth, but either way it makes the whole thing way more worth watching continually, kinda creates a feel more like being front-and-center, or even in the booth.
Hey dude it was "just one floor" of a techno festival that is yearly hosted in an old steel works in Germany. No VIPs or shit... Myself was dancing directly on the right side of the dj booth. there were no securities or shit...

And if that wasn’t enough, most of the PA system stopped working 20 min in the set. Also his fault no?
@@Made0nEarth if you're referring to the needle jumping around sometimes is clearly not his fault. I remember a boiler room performance where he had to constantly readjust the needle because of some stupid chicks jumping on the booth in front of him. And you can clearly see the struggle on his face. Besides all of that, this legend still manages to present superb quality mixing all the time🤯
