Super awesome. Please consider visiting Everglades Outpost in Homestead, Florida by the Everglades main entrance road if you’re around the area. Your audience viewership bolsters visitors and many great locations don’t have the same excellent access to resources like this place does. If I’m not mistaken, they have a lion on sight as well but it’s a secret because it has epilepsy and they don’t want visitors taking photos and activating an episode with flash photography. Great people, could use some more funding and visitors
I lived in the foothills when I was in junior high school. We had a 1/4 to 1/2 mile walk from the bus stop to the house. One afternoon I stayed down at a friend's house until the evening . On the way home I encountered mountain lion tracks on top of my siblings tracks on the trail we used to get home. Talk about being hyper aware and observant on the way home that day
there are still a few large Easter Diamondbacks in Massachusetts just south of Boston in the area called the Blue Hills you should come check them out if you're interested and see if you can find a big one.
Sanctuaries and zoos work as well as some do because of the incredible staff and honestly even those who come to see the animals... Spreading awareness ♥I agree that it is indeed worth it.
There are bobcats, mountain lions and coyote in my neighborhood which is so cool because I live two blocks from the beach in residential Orange County. It's super rad to see them.
On the point of bobcats being misunderstood, 100% agree, however I had a run in with one a few years back that was still pretty chilling. I will tell the shortest version possible; A few years back, my Girlfriend, Mother, & Sister had gone out of State to Georgia to see family, I stayed back to take care of our Animals, & I decided that it would be wise to go solo-backpacking one day, something I used to do often, in the late afternoon, about 4pm. So, I went to a local spot that I frequented with nothing but a small backpack containing a Bottle of Water, a Snack bar, and a change of Socks in case of Rain, additionally, I had my Phone and Car Keys for obvious reasons. One thing I made a habit of was clipping my Car Keys to my Backpack, because my Carabiner had my Keys and, a Bottle opener, and a Multitool on it that made a loud metallic noise while walking, which is good for avoiding any potential Wildlife that I would prefer not to run into while solo & unarmed. I made my way down the Trail, this time opting to go down a different Path than usual, about 1 Mile or so in, I hear the most guttural growl I have ever heard in my life coming from the Foliage to my right side. I turn and there is a rather large, maybe ~25 Pound Florida Bobcat, sort of in a low crouch position, like you would see your house cat doing if it were preparing to pounce, staring me down. Now, Bobcats do not seem that big, until you are alone, 1 mile in the Woods no more than 10 feet from one, thankfully, I had some training in what do to in this sort of circumstance so I followed it. I took my hands out of my Hoodie Pocket, with my Phone, detached my Keys from my Bag and raised them in the Air, and began to Whistle loudly saying "HEY", while also shaking my Hands back and forth, while doing this, I began to slowly back away. After what felt like forever, but was probably 30 seconds, the Cat finally took off into the Woodline. I stood there for a moment to make sure it actually took off, but it was pretty much impossible to triangulate where it was or where it was going after it had disappeared due to the Sound bouncing off of the Trees. I tried to make a Phone call, but had no service, and shortly after, my Phone died because not only was I dumb enough to be backpacking alone that late in the Day, I also didn't charge my Phone because I went on a whim. Took me twice as long getting out as it did getting in because I kept checking my back periodically, but I made it back eventually, got in my car and left. After getting in my Car and beginning to leave my emotions went from kind of scared to absolutely thrilled about coming that close to such a cool Animal, I made it a point that I wouldn't tell my Girlfriend or any other relative so that they wouldn't ban me from going solo packing again. Well, unfortunately, when I left the park, after passing the first stop sign out on the main road, I saw a familiar Car, a Yellow Ford Focus ST with Black Racing Stripes, it was my best friend. In the moment I didn't think much of it, because it wasn't uncommon for us to cross paths when I was in that part of Town, so I give him two friendly honks and kept going on my way, thinking nothing of it. That is, until I looked in my rearview and saw him making a U-Turn on a 2-Lane road, and then saw him subsequently floor it to catch up with me. At that point, I knew something was up, so I pulled into a small parking lot for a business that had been closed for a while and rolled down my Passenger Window. His first words to me were "Brother, do you have any idea of the hellstorm you have just caused?" I was confused. Turns out, my Phone at the time, a Galaxy, had sent out an SOS to everyone on my Emergency Contacts List, so My Mother, Sister, and Girlfriend had received and Emergency Text Message from me, containing a Pin on my exact location 1 Mile in the Woods, a Front Facing Camera Photo, and a Rear Camera Photo, and an Audio File, and they were all 400 Miles away in Georgia. In the Audio File you could hear my Whistling and my heavy adrenaline-laced breathing, the Subject line for the text they received was something like SOS - EMERGENCY, subsequently when the encounter ended, my Phone had died, making it impossible to reach me, this caused an extremely panicked response on their part. The Phone did this because I had it in something like an "ultra power-saving mode" and when I took it out of my Hoodie and waived my hands, it set off the SOS Message to them. Needless to say, I haven't been solo-packing since. It still baffles me to this Day how this happened, considering the fact that it wasn't like I was being quiet with my heavy Keyset jangling, and I also had some smelly Tobacco on me as well, I would have never of that there would be a chance in hell for me to run into a Bobcat, but lo and behold, I was wrong. The conditions had to have lined up perfectly for me to have that encounter, and still, a few years later, it is my best Wildlife encounter to date, despite the somewhat scary nature of it in the moment. I feel more bad for that Cat, because it was me who intruded on it's territory. For anyone wondering what the Growling or Snarling I heard sounded like, refer to this video, unfortunately the only Videos I could find demonstrating the sounds are Videos of Trapped Bobcats, however the Video I am going to link looks like a Video of a Bobcat that is being relocated and is not injured. ruclips.net/video/uj2YoWnBloA/видео.html
I was lucky enough to see a wild florida panther about 20 years ago. I fixed HVAC and was out in middle of nowhere and I turned around to talk to customer and it was on the wood line about 30 yards away. I got excited and said look at that. the customer tried to convince me it was a bobcat but I knew better. I think he knew it lived around there and was trying to protect it which I think is pretty awesome.
My wife was staying at her grandma’s condo in south Florida, and was sitting in the living room. The front door was open (screen door closed) and a large Florida panther walked right up to the door, sat for a second, and then took off. Her grandma was doing laundry down the street and walked back in the house just minutes after the panther left. It moved so silently however, that had my wife not seen it, the cat would never have been discovered. Panthers are so stealthy that they move all around d human habitation and are nearly invisible.
19:09 is the reason Forrest is soooo loved, hes just one of us who does some wild shit. Hes not trying to be professional or fake(not saying proffessional in that way)
I will say this forrest in my area in florida we commonslly see 7+foot rattlers. They are very illusive but are still out there. A couple months back one of my local friends saw a rattler that was going across a 2 lane road. The said the snake from tip to tale was almost as long as the road was wide. The diameter of the body was about the size of a mans forearm. The rattle alone was roughly 6 or so inches long. Keep in mind my friend is a snake owner and is familiar with them. But the giants are still out there. Their was a 5-footer on the road dead about a week back. Thwy are extremely smart animals and it seems the big ones know where to hide.
I know a guy who was in his truck. Window open. A bobcat leapt into the window and almost killed him. He now has crazy scars all over his face. While I agree they are overly vilified, that doesn’t change the fact that they can a will mess you up if they want to. Do not underestimate wild animals and give them the respect they deserve . Stay safe.
That slap from the black bear would've really hurt ... but she was not trying to hurt Forrest. THAT'S why you don't go in. If she did that to another bear, it wouldn't been nothing.
I’m an implant from Ohio, I refuse to kill any snakes. We also have a fox den on our property and neighbors wanted to come on my property to trap them. I said a few choice words and slammed the door in their face. Most of the neighbors feel the same way. One morning I swore I saw a panther in a neighbor’s yard. Found out that they are around here.
My kitten (almost 11 months old), has been really difficult when it comes to handling him, he bites really fast and without warning (he comes to lie down between my stretched arms and my keyboard while I'm working, purrs up a storm, lays down his head on my forearm and suddenly bites it). If I have to brush him or trim his claws he has to bite on something (he always goes for my hands but if I give him something else, it works half the time). This video has convinced me that I just need to put in the work and try to train him. If a bear and a mountain lion can be taught to be okay with getting their paws touched, I can do this with my cat's claws, surely?!
What was your favorite predator that we saw?

FL native here. I've definitely see one of the "black" ones in the wild. I will never forget the way it moved and how it was the only time I've seen one after being in that location over a year.
19:20 made me crack up lmao, she didn't even bother acknowledging it :D
Great video!
I was thinking the video was about Justin trudeau coz of the title !hahaha Nice vidéo anyway :p
- It feels *illegal* to be this early. 😮

People aren't fearful of bobcats and coyotes for their own sakes. They simply aren't a fan of their pets being pray...
love ur work and wish u can continue your show
To add to the bobcat/coyote comment…I sit outside ALOT at night and I was honored when a bobcat walked up and sat beside me. And coyotes have wondered really close, drank water from the bird baths 😂 it always felt like a curiosity encounter.
Grayson melted my ❤ shes adorable ❤❤❤❤
Great bit of education , thank you !!
19:20 😂😂😂😂 right over her head lololol
I lived in the foothills when I was in junior high school. We had a 1/4 to 1/2 mile walk from the bus stop to the house. One afternoon I stayed down at a friend's house until the evening . On the way home I encountered mountain lion tracks on top of my siblings tracks on the trail we used to get home. Talk about being hyper aware and observant on the way home that day
there are still a few large Easter Diamondbacks in Massachusetts just south of Boston in the area called the Blue Hills you should come check them out if you're interested and see if you can find a big one.
This place looks awesome
Sanctuaries and zoos work as well as some do because of the incredible staff and honestly even those who come to see the animals... Spreading awareness ♥I agree that it is indeed worth it.
I saw 3 gray foxes in my yard at the same time one morning. I didn't know we even had them here in East Tennessee. So cool to see.
Love what you're doing!
The Ladies of Bush wildlife are Amazing 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great video Forrest! I live in Florida and will check out this facility .
Don't worry Kyle, contrary to what the birds and Forrest say, you're a good dude 😂keep up the good work gentlemen
This woman is an encyclopedia! Awesome!
I will tell the shortest version possible;
A few years back, my Girlfriend, Mother, & Sister had gone out of State to Georgia to see family, I stayed back to take care of our Animals, & I decided that it would be wise to go solo-backpacking one day, something I used to do often, in the late afternoon, about 4pm.

He casually had a conversation with a rattle snake on the floor in front of him …. I’m not as tough as I thought I was 😂
Love this kind of video
“Being one of my absolute favorite animals in the world” he says about every animal in every video lol
I am so jealous of getting to hold the baby gator. They are so freaking cute!
Stay safe.
Forrest Forrest Forrest... there has NEVER been 9-10 foot diamondbacks. Ever.
Awesome video
We love you Forrest
A bobcat once pissed at me through a fence at the zoo lol
"this guy knows a lot about cougars" haha ZINGER!
