I really love any scene where Kyde is just laughing hysterically. The mascot festival is a great example, but the one in the kinda fancy restaurant at some really high level stands out to me. Eric just loves it so much and his reaction to it is really enjoyable to see!

My best moment was when I discovered it was not Kyde and Eric but /ˈkeɪti/ KAY-tee and Eric. I still never think /ˈkeɪti/ KAY-tee when I watch a new video from you guys.

I'm 29 and have been watching your videos since the beginning. Not to make you all feel weird, but you guys have really been great role models for me as human beings who are pursuing their passions and living in the moment. Your travel videos and Japan series videos once your moved really really gave me healthy travel videos to experience. It's kind of hard for me to articulate, but I mean this in the sense of if you look at other travel vlogs of 20 and 30 somethings in Asia, the videos can be more "influencer" themed and the underlying feeling that many of us pick up on is more so identity management and the visible stress to perform or give a certain impression of their life. No shame on these types of videos per se, as I do enjoy them, but it has made an incredible difference to me while I was still learning about myself in my early 20s to see you both as a foundation to use as a model for healthy people pursuing their travel related passions. Thank you for sharing the weirdness, the wonder, the mundane, the quirky, and all the nice cocks along the way!

I understand how Kyde felt when you surprised her at the airport. My husband was deployed overseas to a very dangerous area while serving in the Marines. His deployment kept getting extended and I had a 1-year-old child to take care of by myself. It was incredibly stressful and scary. Every time some of them returned I was there to see if he was one of them. The last time I just stayed home because I didn't expect him to be there. He walked through the front door and Kyde's reaction was how I felt. I love how real/raw y'all are! I have been watching for a long time and y'all are still my favorite.

I hate to break it to you guys, but you're explorers. Your love language is shared experiences and just checking out new things together, and it's one of the reasons I love watching you so much. The genuine excitement and fun you have together is so fun to see. The places are almost secondary to seeing your reactions to them, good bad or indifferent. It makes all your videos feel really authentic and real and I think it's something not a lot of people on the platform do in the way you do it. Thanks for sharing this, it was really fun to look back on things with you and see some of the fun crazy stuff again. I ship it. This video went by really fast for a 55 minute video, which basically means it was really enjoyable. This gave me better reflection and appreciation of my marriage and partner as well. Even with all of your wonderful & amazing travel vlogs, the mascots vid has always been one of my favorites. The sheer emotion Kyde goes through... watching it always makes me smile. The backstory really gives it a whole new dimension and importance.

The mascot festival is definitely one of my faves because Kyde's reaction to being there was absolutely perfect! How I stumbled upon your channel was researching things to do in Osaka. From there I watched your move to Japan and then binged watched all your Japan videos. Then when I was done with those, I went back and watched your travels around the world from the beginning! I love this channel because it's simple and not overly done. I love seeing whatever shenanigans you both get into. Gotta say, you picked many of my favorite moments in the videos!!! One moment that really captured you two and fits your wedding anniversary is a moment when Kyde goes bubbling off across...an open square? a park? in SE Asia? talking about being lucky and Eric turns to the camera and says "No, I'm the lucky one!" So sweet!

What a cool love story and what awesome clips. My husband and I made 10 years in 2018 and it’s definitely a milestone and something to reflect on. We were in Ireland at the time of our 10 year anniversary and reflecting on the growth of our relationship and travels. I agree with everything you stated in the beginning of the video and I’m so excited to see the next 10 years from you two.

Even with Kyde prefacing the difficulties of relationships, this made me smile/ tear up because of how much I want a relationship like yalls. I’m not really sure how long I’ve been watching you guys (maybe 5 years...?) but seeing you guys react or hearing Kyde talk about your experiences really put into perspective what a solid relationship really means through life.

I have been watching you pretty much almost since the start, at least from the very beginning of you moving to Japan and making videos over there. It´s been a long time. This brings me back in time when i watched a lot of these videos. I am very happy to see you still around and hope for it to be for an even longer time to come. Your videos make me happy and brings some positivity to the everyday grind and struggle and helps me remember some of the things i always meant to do.

Still my most favorite was, actually two favirites are: the Croatia hike with all the waterfalls and the picknick and the other one was the hike in Japant with the 'cat- bentobox Kyde found at the trash from the japanese postal service, I think she had the mini kewpi mayo with it. I don't know why but I love the picknicks you have 😁 I believe there was a caterpilar and eating salat with twigs 🤣by the way, nice sheep. Oh man, I am now further in de vid, yes, the mascotfestival was a great highlght too. I stop editing, you make such great content. 24:00 I really wanted to bring my drone to Japan with me but the only one I had this was a DJI Phantom, which is really too big to travel with. Now I have a Mavic Mini, which I could pretty much put in a pocket if I wanted to. So next time I get to Japan I will definitely bring it.

Thank you so much for the disclaimer about how your relationship isn't "perfect". It's easy to be surrounded in socal media and seeing everyone always so happy that it gives a unfair reflection of their lives AND can make your own relationship / life feel inferior.
Of course there's some who relish in presenting this fake happiness to the world for one reason or another, but the reason I love your channel is how genuine you guys are, you're not out to try and show off, you're all about "hey we're going to have some cool adventure and we want to share it with you" - at least that's the feeling I get from your channel.

Can i just ask 2 questions... 1, What was your best trip over the years.....and 2, What are your plans when things get back to normal?
Those are both really hard questions. Each trip is unique and to choose a favorite would be impossible. And where do we plan to go next? It all depends on how the world recovers and what is possible. We have no idea right now.

In an odd way, this video was nostalgic for me seeing all of these videos that I watched back when I was still in highschool. The video about the yurakara in particular was actually the catalyst into getting me into Japanese culture and even today I love yurukara and hope that tradition continues so I can go there one day and see it in person :D My favourite character is Sanomaru btw!
