I'm gonna have to go back and watch episodes of Switched at Birth and The Shannara Chronicles to see what he used to sound like. I don't remember his voice from those shows. I'm sure he didn't have a southern Elvis like accent, but who knows.
He was a lot younger then and he said he damaged his vocal chords with all the singing. One song he had 40 takes on. You can hear the raspiness now. Not sure that will go away.
