  • We've all had it happen. We choose watercolor tubes full of beautiful colors - and then somehow they dry out. They turn rock hard. Don't throw those tubes out!! The paint within is still perfectly good. You just need to get the hard paint out of the tube to be able to use it.
While oil paints and acrylic paints turn 'bad' if they dry, watercolors are quite fine dry. Think of those circle-pans you used in elementary school. Those are dry. This tube is the same thing. You just need to get the paint out of the tube.
Here's how! Ask with any questions!

what about adding water using asyringe to the tube and keeping it up for 2 days

The problem is that, adding drops into the mouth, the tiny circle the water is going to touch is barely going to impact any paint at all. The water can't easily "wriggle down" into the rest of the tube.
