I am rarely this comfortable listening to good cornet players. Very comfortable with the competence. I did not feel the soloist was struggling anywhere in this performance. That's very nice... not just another exercise... worth listening to.
Brilliantly done! Lovely clear tone, excellent articulation and his vibrato beautifully coloured the long notes and phrase ends. Thanks for sharing this fine performance from soloist and band! 😊🙏🎶🎶🎶
Incredible playing !! If you have a negative comment about this performance go immediately to the doctor and check yourself for the Corona virus you must be sick !!!
Valkyry5 The total opposites in opinion, one a musical snob and one just a moron, I am one of those not real musicians brass band people! You are both the kind of person I would avoid like a bush fire ! PS for what it’s worth, lovely playing by anyone’s standards Mr Cobb !
Bravo Phil, outstanding playing! Wonderful sound! 🎺🎵🎶

This man's competence is astounding! Never a lip slip or any sign of difficulty...I agree wholeheartedly with John Cahill's comments
Superb rendition.... and marvellous technical ability....

Another beautiful Cobb tone off the brilliant Cobb- cornetist family conveyor belt. In the genes.
in ti thei vel lutuk🤗 Beautiful
Just staggering virtuoso playing by the London Symphony Orchestras principle trumpet.
The only thing Phil Cobb ever gets wrong is his tie.
Absolutely Brilliant playing Bravo x 10.What make of Cornet and mouthpiece I wonder?.
Omg, that tonguing exercise at 3:45
was awesome!!!
Stunning!!
notes are those from Soldier's tales???

Astonishing.

SEHR GUT PHIL.... WEITER SO !
quelle performance mais il me semble que vous etes au LSO
nice sounds!!
How long were the band going to wait at 3:04😂
Tie is too short
How can a cornet sound so much like a trumpet? Hasn't any round-like tone...anything all! Sounds like a Schilke Eb.
Valkyry5 Extremely sharp tonguing!

If this big sound sounds like eb-cornet to you, you dont know what you are talking about
Philip Cobb is principal trumpet in the London Philharmonic
@@davidbudding5836 , just to correct that - he is principal trumpet of the LSO.
