- Minecraft Lilypad- or Minecraft Alpha Versions- is a series of supposedly LOST Minecraft updates that are being uncovered from the early 2010s. A RUclips channel began uploading footage of the elusive versions, showing off features we've never seen in the main game such as magical lily pads, boss-fight giants and unknown figures who watch your game. A few of these versions have been shared by the uploader, and today we're playing the latest version!
Just to be totally clear, I'm not sure whether their youtube channel states this but I'm 99.99% sure this is an ARG, so it's just a story. In the video, I'm playing with a modified client which lets me use skins.

In case you wanted to explore the server even more, you may want to look into the modded client "rosepad". The vanilla lilypad version cannot handle that much server anymore. Rosepad has bug fixes in place so the game does not crash that fast anymore

I suspect this functionality is coded into the jar, because the creator actually hunting down servers and making new accounts would be way too hard.
@@_memoryleak_ The server owners had someone stay logged in overnight to act as a camera. The shadow players boxed them off so they couldn’t see anything. I don’t think you can hardcode that.

Hi! I'll try to explain everything that you questioned :)
Just to start, Minecraft lilypad is an ARG. Not really a lost version.
1:02 Mostly randomized names for each chunk.
1:05 Most likely to be Your username
1:08 Hunger bar retextured
1:23 In random moments giants can spawn that will roam around the world until you run away, if you do run away the bar will be gone as you're too far. Their names are randomized too and they look like giant zombies
1:59 Doors.. They would randomly spawn into your world and you would need to use a lever to open them because they were iron doors, once you enter, you're inside a backrooms looking maze where you can go into other players worlds. Apparently in one of their videos the doors weren't supposed to appear because the server isn't working
3:57 Milestones mean how much days you survived in your world.
4:00 Those are called dashes, they boost you for a short time.
5:03 That world was made for developers only, that's why there's already some stuff there
5:51 DBG stands for "debug" So that's a debug block.
6:08 Not really C418, just the soundtrack for the game by developer 5. Discs were made for the soundtrack too
7:20 Frail was a new gamemode for the lilypad versions. When you chose it, you wouldn't have everything except hearts. The hearts were changed into one glass cup. If you get damage once, you die. Like the normal mode for everyday you get 1 milestone

Correction, you don't have to put most likely in the first 2 ones also it's not your username, it's assigned to whatever thing you typed in the key generator.

It’s basically a beta 1.7.3 mod that also follows the “alternate development” route where they rework stuff that’s mostly old and cut content but mainly focuses stuff that makes the old minecraft aesthetic

Imagine if the doors worked like how they do in the videos, basically it brings you into a dimension that works as a hub, other players can go through their doors and go to the hub too! They can’t talk but you can go to their worlds, and they can go to yours! It’s super cool!
