I was lucky enough to attend one performance of Queen + Adam Lambert in Tel Aviv 2017, and boy what a voice this guy has, coupled with Brian May and Rodger Taylor they certainly delivered an amazing concert. Pity that Adam is still so underrated in the general public.
Epic voice, epic song, epic guitarist, epic drummer, Queen + Adam Lambert. Doesn't get any better than these musical experts. We are so fortunate to be able to hear them. So happy you enjoyed this performance and Adam's voice.
Brian May is argued to be, by many, the greatest rock guitarist ever. The Red Special, his guitar, was handcrafted by him and his father. He's a genius guitarist, not to mention an astrophysicist and all around great human being. Now, as for Adam, brilliant brilliant brilliant. His voice is in the stratosphere. Adam's vocals with Queen's iconic music, especially this song, is a match made in heaven. Love your reactions.

Long before I or any of us knew of Adam Lambert, I met my husband Tim 22 years ago, his favourite film was (still is) Highlander, so much so he had a tattoo on his backside of the eye of Horus (which was his first tattoo as well as Adam lamberts first tattoo I believe) but with the words ‘who wants to live forever’ around it.. then our son was born 20 years ago, we named him Adam (remember this is long before we knew of adam Lambert) we named him after my hubby’s favourite singer Adam Ant (my hubby really loved the 80’s lol) we also gave our son a middle name ‘Connor’ after the main character in the highlander film who is played by Christopher LAMBERT.. how weird is that 😮 .. many many years later an unknown performer called Adam Lambert becomes famous on American Idol and ends up singing Who wants to live Forever from the highlander film with Queen 😮 sends shivers down me every time I listen to it 😮 and to top it all off Adam Lambert reminds me so much of my husband when he was younger, they look very similar, height, build, dark hair and facial features except my husband has brown eyes and naturally dark hair and also personalities ( I actually thought my hubby was gay when I first met him ha) no wonder I’m swooning over Adam Lambert 🤣 absolutely stunning ❤️ yet the funny thing is our son Adam has grown up to be exactly the same height build facial features (got beautiful eyes and eyebrows like Mr Lamberts but my sons eyes seem to change colour, one min they look brown then blue or green) yet our son has Adam Lamberts natural hair colour strawberry blonde 😮.. unfortunately none of us can sing like Adam Lambert, although my son did have a solo part in a primary school play and he did sing like an angel 😮❤️ I adore my son and Adam Lambert but in different ways obviously 😂 they are both gifts from god ❤️

This song, and several other Queen songs, sound better with Adams voice and phrasing. Other songs are perfect from Freddie. Adam will never compose music like Freddie, but it is often possible for him to outsing Freddie IN MY OPINION because how we hear and feel about music is personal opinion.

Adam Lambert is doing a pretty good job and this song started out beautifully until he started screaming towards the end. It’s something I just don’t particularly care for and he was trying to hit soprano notes that Freddie Mercury could hit with ease. The very beginning started out so beautiful and I just wish it could’ve stayed like that. The video to this song is amazing because Brian May who is the lead guitarist and vocalist starts off singing it.
Freddie very rarely has hit live notes like Adam has. You have no idea what you're talking about. And that's called belting. If he were screaming he couldn't talk the next day, let alone continue singing for the tour.
He's not screaming anywhere. An opera singer from the UK who has sung for the Queen says he does not scream. I'll take her word for it. Also Brian May himself says Adam sings higher than Freddie live. From what I heard, Freddie lowers the key when he sings live.
So weird when people label high notes in perfect pitch and vibrato as screaming. Never heard one vocal coach or singer say that about this performance.

This song, and several other Queen songs, sound better with Adams voice and phrasing. Other songs are perfect from Freddie. Adam will never compose music like Freddie, but it is often possible for him to outsing Freddie IN MY OPINION because how we hear and feel about music is personal opinion.

Thank you!! Queen is awesome but I missed Freddie Mercury something terrible and I miss John Deacon!!! Adam Lambert is doing a pretty good job and this song started out beautifully until he started screaming towards the end. It’s something I just don’t particularly care for and he was trying to hit soprano notes that Freddie Mercury could hit with ease. The very beginning started out so beautiful and I just wish it could’ve stayed like that. The video to this song is amazing because Brian May who is the lead guitarist and vocalist starts off singing it.
Freddie very rarely has hit live notes like Adam has. You have no idea what you're talking about. And that's called belting. If he were screaming he couldn't talk the next day, let alone continue singing for the tour.
He's not screaming anywhere. An opera singer from the UK who has sung for the Queen says he does not scream. I'll take her word for it. Also Brian May himself says Adam sings higher than Freddie live. From what I heard, Freddie lowers the key when he sings live.
So weird when people label high notes in perfect pitch and vibrato as screaming. Never heard one vocal coach or singer say that about this performance.
