It’s amazing to see the sense of scale of works like “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon”. Seeing them on a phone or computer screen really doesn’t prepare you for just how BIG they are in real life.
What a dream job. Oh my god. Getting to clean priceless paintings. But I'm very wary of whatever that mysterious goop was; They were scooping up at 2:30
I'm In Texas, and I appreciate this video,in that, you have taken me to the nyc MOMA in the comfort of my home!Great video...I look forward to more !Thanks!!✌❤
MoMA is on my bucket list. It always has been. MoMA has Chagall & Warhol. MoMA has Lichtenstein's Pistol... Vincent van... I mean... geez... I weep when I watch At The Museum because I *know* these paintings, these artists. And MoMA remains on my bucket list.
I have always wanted to go as well, but if you really want to see some chegall, warholl, van gogh, etc, there are quite a few museums with pieces by those artists.
I get nervous as hell when I walk into a random antique shop. I couldn't imagine handling these priceless works of art. I'd be so sweaty and my heart would be racing the whole time.
Love this but I held my breath every time they moved a work of art.....I'm too clumsy..... I enjoy just being a pedestrian and absorbing the fine pieces and have on many occasions. . . . . .
Which the beige brushes at 1:20 ? I think that's their natural colour. Very soft brush fibers are used for this similar to those used in expensive makeup blush brushes. Or did you mean the dusting wand at 8:52 ? here she's just dusting the fabric 'backing board' layer. This isn't actually the back of the painted canvas. As a bit of trivia Feather dusters shouldn't be used on paintings because the little micro hooks in each feather used to align them on the bird can catch in paint cracks and cause paint loss.
If you had the choice of saving a little kid's life by pushing him out of the way of a moving car or saving "A Starry Night" by Van Gogh by keeping it from being hit by a car, which would you choose? What is your choice? ( In essence, is the painting actually worth anything or have humans fooled themselves)?
The painting symbolizes the mind of an understimate man by sociaty, who showed his vision and emotions through art, which was the only thing that keept him alive. By the other hand, where were the irresponsible parents of that child...? Anyways, I´m sure the kid will make it, but the painting...
I got unexpectedly emotional when they placed the Picasso next to Matisse... What a sight.

Wow. This is a fascinating series. Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
Of course, I appreciate Allllll these great artworks. Thank you
Unbelievable to see how much care are taken to move, to preserve and to hang these great paintings.
Beautiful and Amazing video. Thank you. Cape Town
One thing I'm absolutely loving about this series is to see the actual scale of these works. Often I get surprised by how big or how small a work is.
Best job ever. Congratulations to the videomakers, it looks so nice to watch.
What a kick ass exhibit. Wish I could have been there to see it.
Wow. Wowowowow. This series is such a dream. Please keep going with it! Those lucky sons of guns who get to work
there... Just wow!

Amazing series 👏
I love NYC, I love #MoMa, I'll see you again for the third time at the end of October. I'm Mexican art lover.
Great video.learned a lot.
I half expected Baumgartner to walk in and go to work.
Matangaro Matangaro I’m also one of his devoted fans.
Pleasure to see “Beyond The Scene” of MoMA! 😆❤️
I wish as they were working on the pieces they would put little titles down in the bottom of who the artist is and what's the name of the piece.
There are titles! Turn on captions with English (United Kingdom) and the artist, title, and year will pop up when the artwork is on screen
Jazzie Red, labels are SO 20th century.
Yes, thank you for posting this. But it is very unsettling to see "Starry Night" being pulled from its frame.
My new favorite video
I live in Belize and miss our museums!
omg legends only!!
Yes, please keep all the bios signs on one side!
my actual dream job
Great !! 👏👏👏👏👏
I wonder what’s cleaner an art museum or a hospital
artenman I was thinking at some time should hospitals ban plastic (bit off topic)
Amazing
starry night is randomly moved on a cart...? and touched on the surface by BOTH movers... and removed from frame!?
This was so interesting
Woow, I tough the starry night was much bigger.
How many ppl does it take to install a light bulb? Most if the time, 10 or more
You should be able to do a virtual tour on google museum maps
Oh my
It's weird to consider just how valuable all of the pieces featured in this video are. I mean, just the scene at 9:35 alone is worth $1-2 billion!
is that the original starry night?
Roubeacon yeah, i saw it at the moma in jan its amazing
Yes. They are all originals!
yes it has been at the museum of modern art since 1941.
Yes.
Yes
7:48 Rousseau in the background
No no, Lemon Pledge.
okay, but where did the hair come from?
My dream is going to there. At any cost.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍
I hope someday my paintings sculptures etc will be taken cared like these
@ 3:22 whats that artist?
Some guys have all the luck
9:36 woow!
Love this but I held my breath every time they moved a work of art.....I'm too clumsy.....

It’s sad that these paintings are treated better than some humans
1:55 who is the author of that?
Piotr Gurgul Constantin Brancusi
3:18 who is the author?!
Faith Ringgold. www.moma.org/collection/works/199915?locale=en
i defer to the elders
Should they be dusting the work with that dirty brush?

Risky job!!!!!

Save the painting, I hate children anyways.
The painting symbolizes the mind of an understimate man by sociaty, who showed his vision and emotions through art, which was the only thing that keept him alive.
By the other hand, where were the irresponsible parents of that child...? Anyways, I´m sure the kid will make it, but the painting...
Save a life of course. A Starry Night is my favorite painting ever, and I love art, but it would never come close to human life.
@@interrexclamacion okay you'll save the painting and I'll grab the baby. Both of them will be saved
@@interrexclamacion admirable honesty!
Horrible, disgusting, ugly art. All of it.
