I hang my jewelry on the bathroom door in two jewelry hanging bags with pockets on both sides. Since I live alone, I keep my bathroom door open all the time so it is actually on the front of the door. It is so handy to just look at the jewelry when I am getting ready to go somewhere. The other storage solution I use is almost like what you do with your dishes, except I have a corner rack with 3 shelves. I keep the dishes I use most of the time on that. Love your channel!
Hello Steffi, great ideas, I live in a one bedroom apartment also, this may be an unpopular idea but, I'm turning my bedroom into a walk-in closet/ office, my living room will be bedroom/ living room, just as if it were a studio. I have a separate dining area and galley kitchen. I too enjoy small spaces and this is the best living arrangement for me, because no amount of decluttering, donating is going to give me enough closet space😂💝
I used big rack for kitchen stuff like microwave, oven and other in my kitchen and put a cute big paper back to keep my kinds of stuff... And my suitcase under my bed for my clothes....😎😎
Purse as a basket is so clever 😻 I have maybe half the counter space, and cupboard space - so using the wire racks inside all my cupboards are game changing (got mine from Homesense). I use the top drawers in a lingerie chest (old Bombay Company) for my jewelry, rest of the drawers for night clothes, socks, etc. It has a small footprint, but is quite high - my solar powered watches can sit on top looking pretty and getting charged. Best part about my unit, is the integrated garbage, paper and plastic recycling unit under the kitchen sink (I keep the composting in the fridge).
The jewelry on the floor is a good idea but be mindful if you live in a place where there is high humidity as the closer to the floor the higher it will be and that cause tarnish and rust on your jewelry. Might need some closed containers and moisture absorbing paper or tags lining the containers.
We downsized to a small apartment and I needed some additional storage space. I purchased a black space divider with cubicles and set it up horizontally behind my sofa (as a sofa table). It not only served as a great surface for decorative items, but it also had eight cubicles. I used four fold-out fabric bins (alternated diagonally) for some "hidden" storage. I found these fabric bins in a pattern that coordinated with my area rug. I placed vases, books, etc. in the remaining four open shelves. It is both functional and attractive and does not occupy a lot of space.
I think it'd be amazing for you to make a video on cats and studio apartments! Things such as cat litter boxes, more aesthetic pet furnitures, how to not make them scratch your decors, catification, etc!
The drawers under bed, or anything that rolls out from under the bed would be a game changer. I am always looking under my bed for stuff and it’d be nice to roll things out effortlessly. Also those added height thingys would help a lot. It’d be nice if there were some that fit my overall design scheme. I guess I could throw little pieces of fabric over them to change the look. Hmmm…ideas!
Hi!!! I’ve falling in love with all of your videos!!! You inspired me to move in to a smaller place! And I love it!!! Where did Kobee get his shelving/bookcase thingy??? It looks so nice!
I love the under the bed drawers. They blend in so well with your decor. But, if put a pillowcase or dresser runner on top to keep Jewelry dust free. Then it's easy to just wash the cover.
I really like your Jewelry drawer idea. How do you handle the necklaces. My current jewelry box is falling apart, but I'm keeping it so far b/c I can hang the necklaces on hooks so they get less tangled.
Here in Europe, walk-in closets are not common, so for Americans who want more storage space I'd recommend to look at European youtubers /Instagram accounts etc for inspiration
Thank you for watching! Do you have any storage solutions you swear by? Let's hear them!

I have matching metallic measuring spoons, measuring cups etc. I display these using command strips on the wall by the stove.
That’s too funny! I have a bread rack thing in my closet as well.!
