Arrma tough to work on sometimes 😂 That black plastic bit that keeps the whole center diff module stay in place was really stuck in there. Hopefully that 20M diff fluid will make it more stuntable 🤞
I'm building an outcast 4S and starting with the slipper and then maybe upgrading to the diff. Figure I'd learn the difference for myself. Hoping to have it finished this year.
Interesting to see some of the assembly issues from arrma. Sure wish they'd just bag the parts and offer a kit version for so we could build them how we want without having to unbuild them and correct this stuff first
My gear case was packed with sand after one run cleaned it ran it again full of sand and not at the beach just typical Florida soil lol. My bearings were trashed too Arrma warrantied them and I taped over the hole in the chassis to keep the gear from sucking in the sand. I think it was paint in the screws I used a exacto chipped it out factory fluid is 500k mine was dry Arrma sent me a tube filled it up and on the Kraton it does wheelies for days now.
I cant believe that battery tray is longer than the Kraton the owners manual says it is I have so much more room between the motor and the esc I do have a plastic block built in before the center diff where yours has the strap in the motor block piece and the battery goes all the way very interesting if it is longer
To all Outcast owners.... I recommend padding the front shock towers with a very stiff foam. Otherwise they will damage the body even if you re-enforce it with shoe goo and tape. I took a couple of chunks of the thick/dense foam that Traxxas ships their light kits with and glued them to the tops of the towers.🤓
Hello, great model, I also bought the same one, only version 2.5, did you change the oil in the differentials? If so, what thickness, greetings from Poland
I accidentally put the wrong screw in the bottom of my chassis on the 4s outcast. It was too long and went all the way through the plastic driveline. Pulled the screw out and kept going. Still haven’t had an issue with it 😄
I have the arrma kraton 4s v2.5 my front spring perches are rubbing groves into my drive shafts I tried turning the shock shafts 3 turns but it still hits the drive shafts any suggestions on how to fix this issue I've asked other routers I was subscribed to no reply back
The shock shaft will be bent if you take the shock apart remove the shock shaft put it in a drill and spin it you’ll see the bend or even roll it on a smooth table you should see the slight bend
@earlmoorhead5555 so both front shocks are bent? In my comment it says routers I ment youtubers I'm subscribed to thank you for responding I enjoy your channel
@joeytravis1953 yes mine was the same way both where Close one clearly was bent the other was slightly bent both rubbed the axle I found a lower arm pin bent and one shock shaft bent causing the issue i hammered the pin straight and changed both shock shaft now there an air gap to the drive axle
@earlmoorhead5555 thank you ,the rc is less than 3months old I don't jump it .I run it around on grass and florida lime rock.i sent pictures to horizon hobbies over a week ago with my issue.sat in que on a phone for 2hrs 5 days in a row , finally got a hold of someone asked the same question they were clueless there customer service is a joke me and my 3yr old play with this rc car hopefully i can save up for an xmaxx i like traxxas customer support expensive prices but good support this helped me alot now I can fix my rc
@joeytravis1953 horizon has the worst customer service and they do it on purpose to limit warranty claims per day so there bottom line is in the green very difficult to get anyone to answer you as most are part time full time home employees that don’t know about rc cars
been enjoying your vidoes good sir, im trying to pick between 4s v2 or the 6s noto.... maybe you can help =). i got a vorteks and a fireteam so far lol.
Not sure the centre diff is really need in the Outcast, I have the V2 with the slipper, no problem with it, I think the Mojave 4s is more suited to a centre diff.
@hashimrahman51 loose slipper clutch or even one adjusted properly will also work great locking any center differential causes drivetrain to fail while bashing any rc 👍
Well lookie lookie here the 20 million Traxxas fluid magically shows up on the show 🤣😂🤣😂 This guy here during COVID bought up all the 20 mil available leaving none for anybody else 🤣😂🤣😂😂

@@earlmoorhead5555 No problemo 😎🤘

Thanks! Great video Earl 👊👍💯

I like the slipper better. Better wheelies and air control in my opinion idk 🤷♂️

Great video , only Arrma I have is a 3S Typhon , it’s easy to work on compared to this thing

All outcast do that 6s and 8s are the same issue 💯

Safer for the front and rear diffs to run a center dif
