Facebook Hackathon; Mark Zuckerberg showing what his team has built.
Hackathons are a big tradition at Facebook. They serve as the foundation for some great (and not so great) ideas. It gives our employees the opportunity to try out new ideas and collaborate with other people in a fun environment.
Mark Zuckerberg made a live video, showing what his team has made in Facebook Hackathon. He had Facebook Hackathon at his office. Развлечения

You are a life saver 😅
great help! :)
Marks sounds like that substitute teacher that tries to warm up to the class so he doesn't get roasted
lol
That is the funniest thing I have read all week
Lol
Mark always seems like a guy who's high, but trying to hide it and blend in.
The mindset is impressive: “We give them a bunch of time... 1 day”
Standard time for a hackathon
Konrad Bartlett yeah... but I think that he actually thinks that one day is a bunch of time for anything!
@@jjpp1993 that's why its a hackathon lol ! That's the point of the event entirely, its not "what can u do in a day", its "how creative can u be "
Anish I guess I have failed to express myself
yees, that's why I will never land in FB
"Processing facial information to acquire correct facial expression.. revert to serious mode."
Mark's CPU at 5:47
Adam Francis thats craaaaaaaaazy
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Epic😂👍
Lol
const marksFace = ':-D';
const theirFace = ':-/';
function getMarksFace(marksFace,theirFace){
if (theirFace){
return theirFace;
} else {
return marksFace;
}
}
console.log(getMarksFace(marksFace));
People really underestimate what a great source of inspiration these videos are. To see creative people make something inspires and pushes others to do, to make and to create. Thank you for showing the world this creative process.
4:40 "it's great to get out of here"
yeah but Marks 200iq answer killed them.. "Hope SOME of you comeback. or all. Well see"
it's really awesome to see some of these features have actually been implemented
This is really cool guys. Great work. Thanks to Mark and his team for putting out this platform for the interns.
I'm genuinely impressed with how many good ideas they came up!
Awesome to see how many of these are in Facebook/Messenger now
The whole Spark AR set from Facebook is there
@@niespeludo damn on which minute?
Apple saw 'Montage' and was like .. "Write that down !"
Wowwww... definitely we will be looking forward to these existing innovations and the new ones in the near future. I love the integrated map where we could locate establishments, hotels, resorts in the area we plan to go or where we currently are. Also, I'm excited with you making FB app on phone a multi-tasker one, we love listening to music or a discussion video while browsing FB, writing a comment, making a post. And I want an associated app where we can hone the individual's creativity and skills in editing pictures, videos, inserting sounds and pictures allowed by FB. Thanks FB, you guys are amazing, always have an awesome work day! 💓
i love that the 'rememberance' feature is an actual thing today - its amazing
You know that employees can’t talk about whats on their mind when they think the only difference “is the snacks”
all those fake laughs make me cringe so hard
It's difficult to be normal when you are talking to a lizard.
that's American Executive style, I hate it!
if they didnt laugh they would seem defensive, rude, arrogant,..etc think about it. I laugh sometimes just to appear polite , after someone made a stupid joke.
Nidulamak Nidulamak but thats the point! Do u wanna live in a world where everybody fakes their feelings or in one where you know how do u stand?
@@youdontexist. well it's a social norm now, I dont mind it at all. Just imagine, you start a new job, you are meeting everyone and introducing yourself and make a small joke just to break the ice and everyone just stares at you, one girl says that joke was retarded... and they just go on with their work.. how would you feel ? of course white lies or whatever you call them exist for political correctness or decent social behaviour.
It's been proven that people prefer to speak or open up to those who are friendly and smile as oppose to those who seem defensive and bored.. You gotta fake it to live in this world, there is no way around it. Prime example is Mark Zuckerberg the lizardman himself.
romania represent, thats cool, greetings from slovakia
lol at the guys that made a game.
And a pretty bad one haha
That's actually pretty cool thing. I've worked at places where management is not interested in listening and that kind of environment does not grow much.
And it's also great that some of these features are actually intergrated into Facebook and Messenger now
the last one .... dope
Lots of love from a game development student to game developers
Thank you so much guys.
The pet profile would be cool to create a big library of pictures and videos of your pet. Then you could combine it with the Remembrance project and when you lose your pet you have their memory saved forever.
Interesting to see many of those ideas and features have been implemented on Facebook nowadays.
wow first app was amazing Montage.. Well done
17:52 when you are a bot, and had a factory reset.
35:28 Mark reaction to the intern's response created some tention
Very interesting to see Mark become very much a macro -view manager. taking interest into how his employees and and interns are doing.
2nd idea is a good one 👍
Very interesting to see how you're creating resources in Facebook with strong effective interaction with your staff and hard work helping to connect worldwide communities.
The first project looks like the ultimate meme machine.
imagine going into a hackathon and hearing that Mark Zuckerberg is your opponent
This is awesome!!!!
So I love that remembrance idea.
that intern in the middle is trying so hard to stand out and impress Mark lol good for him though.
Sheldon Cooper from Fun With Flags: "Finally, A Worthy Opponent!"
That office looks like an unfinished basement
Facebook cannot afford an HD cam ?
be ready for emerging markets ;-) 2G and stuff. variable Bitrate Streaming has not been invented yet.
Because it's live and facebook live is in beta test at that time.
@@pinoygrammer1733 Hi
It's a reupload. Not sure where original is
44:00 they should just make nlp group question detection with the option of anonymous poll. takes out qualtrics and makes it easier than manually typing options. instead just delete incorrect feature extraction with a poll edit
Amazing what these people have build - some of the projects must have taken more than 1 day.
Awesome thanks.
Is really nice. Good job
I want to be able to add/pin my dog to my profile. I think thats an awesome feature! simple but awesome.
33:30 I can imagine the bald guy screaming inside, "gimme the damn phone!"
is there one for 2022? virtually maybe...
one of them should do a hack on improving the ratio
This guy is a Robot.
of course he wants the interns coming back. they're the lifeblood of his company. why would he want them as competition?
U suck hackaton, watch Facebook crashed..
臉書我太忙了 RUclips 比較能 自由選擇
Where can I download the montage app?
“Showing what his team has built”
Mark: *I introduce to you, FACEBOOK 2*
What all were the tech used in the dev of that game gravity. Was any js library used in its dev?
Awesome products
very interesting
Love that they had a robot intro the video.
Son y serán mi equipo perfecto ! Gracias !
“So youre the glue” HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
the second feature is very interesting I wished it can become a reality..
I'm coming .
Many great potential ideas.
Mark is so inviting to people he got a contagious deliciousness spirit about him
*Mark looks like that phone that keeps notifying you that the battery is flat when you remove it from the charger even if it is charging at 99.9%*
Second one became a real feature.
Watching Mark reminds me of how stiff I can get in social situations. You can tell he suffers from social anxiety and he gets so stiff but atleast he still makes himself do things like this as well as speeches.
Thanks Mark
Why does everyone have so many stickers on their computers?Perhaps the only way you can customize apple laptops.
There’s a reason why most engineers prefer macs, because they don’t crash or update mid work
@@ricks3669 Linux > all
RickS Linux that’s all I have to say
No no no. The more stickers the better a developer you are. And you get respect from pairs.
because they stick along ?
I congratulate the participating administration for this step taken by Sahel in communication we wish the participants success
How can we find subsequent Hackathons?
Is that collage app available yet?
I want Mark as a youtuber
Mark's face looks like face swap anytime you watch him
I have a hunch one of these interns will be a billionaire in coming years
That's a nice office, which building is that, 8?
The feature at 10; Facebook has it now.
even being the Richest guy in the world, He hates Suit-boot
I also love T-shirt always
amazing
Inspiring for fresher like me.
Great ideas
Marks body language is interesting. He seems to be trying very hard to keep and hold his composure. **Afrezza** Inhalable insulin for T1/T2.
just out here...smokin some meats. Sweet Baby Ray's...
I guess its already in market
video quality is pretty low considering this was a video for FB
@12:45 all of us are from CMU. Shoutout
wtf, this video max quality is 360p?? or is there something wrong with my phone?
If I've got a great idea I would build a business around it
you did that?
colleen should do that fuck facebook
@@AM-ry8is you're such a stupid lol
how does stock based compensation work here. would the folks building be rewared?
rewarded*
Based on Swedish law's and i'm guessing the states corporate laws doesn't differ to much i would say that because its a project purposely intended to develop new products the company don't need to compensate the developers in other ways then they're usual salary and in this case its mostly interns working on the products... in other cases where If an employee from a company develops a product by themselves that's linked to they're work and isn't something they have been told to research/work on it gives them the rights to the product and has to be compensated by the company for them to use it. generally this applies to patentable inventions and i'm not sure about all the rules regarding electronic apps but i would guess that something like this is highly likely to be patented. AND of course all of this can be regulated in the contract the intern and/or employee has to sign before they start working for the company. In pure profit thinking this is really genius.
if the future is going to have a real AI walking robot, it's gonna look like Zuckberg for sure
Thought it was gona say "Zuckerberg showing what he's made of - finally codes at a hackathon" 😅
Anjunakitchen that would be incredible lol
I hate when CxO’s sounds like it is a privileged to present something for them. It is the leader who is privileged to see what a team have spend blood, sweet and tears on.
Wait a minute, but aren't the "emerging markets" have slower Internet connections, which makes it more difficult to play a video while doing something else?
Not necessarily
You guys dont even have 1080p cameras at FB?
why 360p
All with Macbook :)
nice
they should have got this guy to play mr robot
I want to make an app called, "losing people that weren't following you in the first place." or LPTWFYINTFP
U are not sweating here mark lol 😏😏
What about the TechLead ???
Code wins arguments!
"Incubate" thinking of Erlich Bachman immediately
Everyone working there are his "incubees" 😂😂😂
who are people beside mark
