Great showcase! I feel like a lot of people kinda overhype how hard he is to use. He’s certainly tricky to play but he hits hard

Completely fair, but there are things you can do to manipulate the AI so you don’t lose your buffs. It is tricky at times though
@@Percy-bx2od that’s true but when he has to compete with consistent champs like Galan, herc and hulking, people are definitely not going to like him.
Agreed. I notice a lot of people try to intercept with him much more than they need to. He has many methods of controlling the fight which makes the AI pretty irrelevant.
I got him too, spent 13k+ units and he alone was worth it, I think he is quite good with suicide masteries as well but you definetly dont need it since he gains so much furies, the thor relic+ odin pre fights and the silver surfer synergy gives him a total of 50 percent aptitude which makes his furies go boom
He doesn't need recoil masteries I think

he's so dope.. he was my second ascension and although he can be BG meta blocked i takw him to aq every day and used him in necro. incursions too. lots of fun
Which paths did you use him in Necro for? I just pulled him as a 7 star and am going to take him to r3.
I’ve seen people use him for the Odin path and the Guardian Autoblock Path

I too got lucky and pulled him from my solo reward Gifted Guardian Crystal. I also pulled Diablo from the Alliance reward Gifted Guardian Crystal. That said, I am at a conundrum. I posed this same question to my alliance: Which would you do first - take Hercules max sig 6* to r5 and ascend him or take 7* Adam to rank 2 to become my 1st r2 7*? I have been saving materials to take Herc up all along as my 1st 6* ascended champ, but then all the sudden I pulled Adam and now I am thinking before doing either I will wait to see where I land and hope to pull a rank 4 to 5 cosmic gem from solo rewards. Then I could do both. It's taking incredible restraint not to take Herc up immediately, but the wait could pay off...
I would focus on your 7*.
I think the true damage is to bypass crit resistance. That has been my theory but I'm not super knowledgeable either... lol. He's super fun though

I got Diablo. Got Adam from a nexus 5* wich is still very huge for me since I can only r2 a six star
I got the science rank up gem from necropolis and i did the explore and gave the science gem to overseer and the basic to maestro like you lol😁😎

I got and duped adam and he’s definitely fun. What stat focus do you have on him? I can’t decide if precision is worth it or not because when he has his precision he doesn’t need it but his precision isn’t always up so it can help when it’s not.
Special damage is what I use
Crit damage is the way to go. He crits on basically every bit so you get even more damage off those hits
@@Percy-bx2od yah crit damage is what i’ve been using but i like to get others opinions. Crit damage helps with hits and specials which i feel like would be more advantageous for him than just specials.

It does seem to be. For me, his specials are usually to save the counter and I throw a lot of sp1’s. Crit damage boosts his damage even more on every basic hit so you get lots more damage off of that

Heads up, none of the champs in the gifting crystal will enter the basic. Kabam said the champs will remain exclusively in the gifting crystal for the banquet events.

i used my 6 star rank 5 adam to solo cerastes so id agree hes good for story content

What does his awakened ability do?
Gains a regen when entering the pod that makes it hard to die when around 20-30% HP, and gives you a chance to stun the opponent while they strike into your Stasis pod
I got him r3 sig 20, his damage is insane
I want Adam now 😢😢 however I pulled sandman from the crystals

It’s War, BGs, Top 10 AQ, deal days, 100% exploring all content when it releases, etc
He is awesome but feels too risky to play due to wonky AI that gets passive with taunt active and vice versa.. he and Gladiator will shine once AI issues are fixed!
He’s much easier to play if you learn how to use him thoroughly. Nagase has some guides. I saw a forum post that talked about how you basically have to make quick decisions to save his buffs, and that makes him easier to play

As someone who opened two of these and got Adam both times I think it’s great that he’s not only available as a 7* but exclusive. Definitely the best luck I’ve ever had in 9 years of playing.
I hope he’s going to be available later in the basic or titan crystal. I got him from my 3rd crystal and would really like to dupe him. His sig isn’t necessary at all but he’s probably going to be my 1st r3 so it would be really nice for prestige purposes to have those silver stars.

Thanks so much for this. Ironic he’s cosmic. I’ve never, personally IMO, had a worse pull than waiting for a Titan turnover and getting Glad.
He’s, again my opinion, the most frustrating release Kabam has done in years.
And to add to that it’s been well not every summoner choice is gonna be OP. I HATE, LOATHE that response.
If he had no connection to SC at all. Zero. Random July release, same reception.
I personally consider it an entire Kabam endeavor. It’s called a design team. And I also appreciate the rebalance program.
But he was released in September. Won’t get buff release until April 😮🙀🤯

But hey I got a cosmic I might enjoy and rank. Since they’d compete for rank up resources, that’s a nice thing honestly.
Now the irony is what if Glad is someone I like after rework? Yes I believe it needs a rework level.
And no human or team is perfect. But it seems like dozens of eyes, many, multitude of people at Kabam could have seen the reaction to Glad before release.
In other words releasing someone they knew they’d end up reworking. So why not do that first? 🤷🏻♂️
To be fair and I need to be open to this: player base reacts better to a buff then a tune down. Ok. I will invest some faith in that being why. And again none of us perfect.
Hope CCP is given chance to give valuable feedback on his buff/rework.
Don’t want to rain on your great video. My apologies. And Kabam has had a lot of hits and few misses and this is what rebalance is for. Hoping they have the integrity to do it with care and passion.
We shall see. But that summoner choice explanation, argument got old and stale very, very quick to me at least.
I was personally hoping they’d lock these champs in this crystal and only have it once a year. The way they have broke up champ acquisitions is pretty awesome to me and I think getting champs that are this powerful all in the same crystal was a beautiful move. I think making it once a year chance for that 2 week window will keep them chased. Plus it would be cool to just have a champ most people can’t get.
They are locked in there for at least a year they said on a live stream 🙂

I to also got My 7-Star Adam Warlock to Rank 2!!! Had to sacrifice $200 for it. Captain America (Sam Wilson) is my second 7 -Star Champion. Got my 6-Star Iron man (Infinity War) and Hulk to Rank 3, got 2 6-Star Rank up gem Rank 1-2, and 11,000 7-Star Crystal Shards!!! I could get another 7-Star Crystal but going wait it out for the Banquet event this year in December.😁😁😁
One of the worst things about him is his terrible heavy reach, i really wish they gave him a better one because heavies with the counter between 30 and 40 boost his damage a lot
I found that out very quickly, when I would drop a heavy expecting it to land and it doesn’t haha
@@BMcG same, unfortunately the only safe heavy opening in most fights is with the striker
But it could just be that if he could heavy spam like herc he would be too strong in terms of damage and since it also makes them more likely to throw specials

I have a 6r5 ascended Adam and I love him I use him everywhere. I’m hoping to pull him from the gifted guardians crystals
I feel the same way about Adam, when you can use him he’s really fun but the more you use him the more you will see flaws in his kit. Still awesome but 1-2 minor changes would help him massively.
I’m incursions with my r5 ascended. I used the 80 prowess per special and gain a buff per buff 50% chance. His damage is insane. Special 2 always does over 500k
I pulled him then duped from a paragon. Love him but would give anything to have 7* diablo
When the opponent has a special and you finish a combo, you always need to wait for a bit because sometimes the ai immediately throws the special after your combo to catch you offguard when dexing.

Build up the first fury, while doing that go for sp3 to get the 2nd fury and its lights out

I've taken mine to R2 as well. I got him twice so since he was awakened I decided to rank him. I don't love his play styke as I need to get better with him. I find I will lose my ramp up with him if the AI attacks my block or if I dash away they won't throw a special, I dash in (mainly because I worry my unblockable will expire), then I take the special to the face. I just can't seem to get his timing right. I've tried ending combo early and dashing back, finishing full combo and blocking (sometimes accidentally parry), Dashing back and intercepting (both light and medium). Nothing seems consistent with him.
The AI is just kinda rough right now
@@BMcG Yeah, that is very true. It really does make the more complex play styles, a pain to play.

nice showcase but don’t think it’s useful to show heroes with nodes amping up their attacks. there’s no use.
Literally every gamemode gives the attacker buffs of some sort, whether it’s Fury, Extra Special Dmg, etc. By this logic, showing showcases in most gamemodes wouldn’t be useful at all. 🤷♂️
@@BMcG It just makes it hard to see their “raw” power. Maybe winter soldier showcase at the end could give us a better idea as most people know other heroes’ performance with winter soldier

I pulled Godmora early. She’s easy and unbelievable damage. I like how you used that as context.
And Sunspot. What a kit!!! He works perfectly. The perfect block, power gain. Simple, powerful, elegant.
They also released Wong. Incredibly sustainable and great damage. I can hear it’s your thoughts about awakened and the damage and sustainable.
Already a precedent in Wong. And already some of the best damage dealers in entire game as 7 stars. Mantis as well. For BG level fights.
Shocker as well. So I think he fits. And I’m willing to get better with him.
So my first pull with the holiday offers, was awakening Adam…. Then 3 more. Got and duped Shocker. With a Moondragon in between. Units will really help me explore Necro…..and a bit to use on gully last piece.
