If Maxey could develop a solid, reliable mid-range jumper he would average over 22 ppg. Taking it to the basket and his three point game are good and getting better, but if he dribble a little better and just master a mid-range jumper, we're talking about HOF if he stays healthy.

You know, I understand why some were excited about the idea of trading Maxey and others for Durant. But I would never do it, even 1 for 1. It's not that Maxey is a match for Durant on the floor. It's his personality. He brings irreplaceable energy and positivity to this team, and we see the impact he has on the other players. Beyond this, he makes things fun for the fans. A championship is a cool dream, but there are no guarantees, and even if achieved, it only represents a single moment in time. What we have in Tyrese is someone who makes every day with the 76ers fun to experience. He's one-of-a-kind, and I hope he's with us from start to finish.

But we know what he is and there’s something about Maxey that’s just super fun to watch and it feels like he has MVP potential too so it would kill me to trade him before we get to see what he becomes.
