Seleucids are fun! Silver shield infantry, shock cavalry, camels, elephants and some Persian units gives you a tonne of options And a fun start position, too
Lusitani, you can be a huge troll using their bonus to ambush success chance to bait the AI. Fire balls never stop being funny. P.S They also love to celebrate Javelin Day
Rome 2 battles are so much more deliberate. Full of posturing and skirmishes phases. Nothing wrong with warhammer battles, I enjoy those as well. Rome 2 just hits different 👌
i agree! although medieval 2 battles are more fun to watch imo since animations are real-time (perhaps it's a bit graphically outdated but still my fav)
@@wxj5640 being such a huge fan of the time period I've only played the Rome titles, with a bit of Napoleon. I'd love love love if CA would overhaul the existing historical titles if we can't get a new one
Ah the Sobek Cultist's saved the day lol, & yes the Cappadocian cavalry is one of my favourite horse units, they've done great work for me over the years. Great win from the Egyptian player,
my first criticism is that you were shooting into shields a lot...maybe you could position the slingers more towards your left flank to ensure you can get better angles
Egypt and Selucids are definitely on my top 5 most favorite factions in the game, they are greek factions but with mixture of barbarian, Egyptian and eastern troops, which makes them ones of those few factions that can go toe to toe with barbarian sword spam.
I was a little sad not to see Galatian raiders. I feel the Galatian player used the skirmisher cavalry well but come on, dropped some units or trade out Galatian spears for MLG freemen and replace them with Galatian raiders. They are the best jav cav in the game!
the 25 armor might come from their SHEILED of all things (its pretty big). given the "sheildmaker" buffs both Armor and Shield lvl I guess the shields count as armor?
Yes shield counts as armor but as far as I can tell, the shield armor seems to only work against range attack. Base armor is the one that decide who will win in melee combat. Shields also come with extra melee defence and stack with base melee defend. Base armor never comes with extra melee defense, however.
Which Alexander faction is your favorite in Rome 2? Egypt, Seleucids, or Macedon?

Egypt. Cheap pikemen, great greek elites, quite versatile
Macedon, not really as versatile compared to the others roster wise but I love to larp as alexander

100%! In Rome 2, battles can be won or lost before the first unit engages.
Hell yeah!

Nice to see battles where Skirmishing plays a decisive factor in Rome 2
Did not expect that battle to go Egypt's way. Sick battle!
Good stuff, keep up the good work!
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying it!
excellent cast Heir. Great mix of play-by-play and color commentary. Always fun. nice job
I find it funny that Galatia doesn't have access to Galation Royal Gaurd
That was a fantastic battle. Rome 2 battles just hit different
Great video!
Especially the croc soldiers!
Nice to see continued historical content. Now only if CA could follow suit.
Love WH3 and domination, but I miss the old sword and board gameplay
Loving the Rome 2 content please keep them coming
Selucids are my favorite!
Great tactics with their skirmishers from both players!
Glad you enjoyed! That Egypt build is a bit flimsy, i am trying to make it sturdier without losing its missiles potential, any ideas?

Such a good battle heir love the Rome 2 content!
Ever notice that Galatia gets “Galatian legionaries” in campaign before Rome goes through Marian reforms?
Yoooo a Rome 2 replay? Nostalgia

That was epic!
If I wanted to submit a replay for review where would I do so?

Nice
Egypt my favourite faction!
What a game
Missing galatian raiders big time
Still don't get why galatia didn't get galatian royal gaurd
This is so nostalgic
