Six years later, and you are still helping people find The Missing Nipple :-) I all seriousness thank you so much! I must have bumped this hose off when I was checking the ABS plug for voltages (long story). But, thanks to you, I now know the answer as to why my Blazer suddenly: began to run rough; had 4WD issues; the heater doors went wonky; and I had a hose with no where to go. The icing on the cake, is that all these repairs were free! Your advice fixed everything my errant hands had disconnected, thank you, thank you!
YOU ARE WHAT THE INTERNET WAS MADE FOR!!! Thanks for posting this!!! I thought I was gonna hafta take the fender off, the ABS...wow...great job! Keep 'em comin!!!
thank you thank you thank you for what you just showed me I have been losing my mind as to where that damn hose goes in the problems I was having with my heater because of that thank you thank you thank you
This is the most helpful video ever. I searched and searched from the written description. All I got was a scraped up hand. After watching this videos it took less than five minutes. I really like the way you describe how it’s under the specific bolt!!
This vacuum line was rotted and had fallen off on my 2001 Jimmy. Fixed my 4 wheel drive engagement problem and my HVAC blend door issue caused by the loss of vacuum these systems need to operate correctly. Thank you
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! My son's the one who works on my car (he's 18) and he had no idea where this went. We scoured the internet for a vacuum hose diagram for my 2002 Blazer and came up with so many different things - none of which were what we wanted. I showed him this video and he said, "Okay, I got it. I'll get it plugged in right now." LIFE SAVER!!!!
Thank you so much The hoses on our 2000 3S10 or so dry rotted they would look like they advance split open and I looked with a mirror all around for that line coming off the T. valve could not find the location where it connected This video save me more Hunting frustration thank you thank you very clear picture
I finally found someone to show me this port, even with your directions I could not get it. A light went off in my brain, get a mirror. Bingo right where you said. Thank you I finally fixed this..
We all appreciate how helpful this video was, but most of us (myself included) don't post anything, we just rely on other people, so let's all help each other out. Take the time to post a video of your knowledge , we all benefit!!!
i think you are in for a hell of a ride if you need to replace the vacum parts..there is a door behind the brake system....i thnk it would be easier to take the fender off than move the brake syst and fuse box..nightmare time
Thank you so much for this simple video. I was looking for this stupid port for days. It fixed my heater blend door issue and my 4x4 engagement issue. Your a truly awsome person. Thanks!
Thank you SO SO SO much! I thought this vaccuum line was going into the fender and I was going to have to open it up somehow. HUGE relief! I need to replace that little hose, and it just went from a big job in my mind into a 1-minute task.
This vid was a real 'saver'. - Couldn't find that nipple where the vac hose plugged into (at 0:44/0.55) for the world. UNDER the mount to the ABS! - Once I saw your vid & then got a mirror out, I found it. - No thanks to GM for putting this in a ridiculous position. Thanks, man!
Wow, just wow. Thank you so much, spent all weekend looking for a nipple on the fender and had no idea where it was. I was even looking around the ABS but no luck. Then boom! I see this this morning!
Thank you... i was going crazy looking for that. My alarm guy pushed my lines out and moved it towards the fuse box and i though it goes around there... thank you.. your a life saver
Awesome video my friend. I looked everywhere, or so i thought and there it was. I really liked how you stated to follow the bracket and its right below. You can't see that at all. This also applies to 2003 GMC Sonoma.
thank you for this video,, I have a 99 blazer and found the vac lines dry rotted and fixed it but couldn't figure out where the last line went,, I woulda never figured it out lol.,, thanks again 👍
This Canister only act as a " reservoir ", remember that :)

Many thanks brother. Still no heat but the vacuum lines are sorted and vent controls work now. Update heater core clogged up and had air bubble. Has some heat now but needs a heater core flush.
If you look at the front of the intake near the fixed fuel line you will see a fitting with 2 outlets. Mine is connected to one of these outlets. The other goes either to TBI or under the air cleaner
+tonyz2897 - This canister is actually helping the HVAC as far as I can see. The Front / 4WD is controlled on the Passenger Side through a Solenoid at the " Splits ".
interesting. I thought it went from the tee near the vacuum reservoir down to the vacuum switch on the transfer case and then to the actuator under the battery tray. I honestly haven't looked too closely at it yet but I need to replace some suspect looking vacuum line. Lots of dry rotted line and leaks waiting to happen on this thing.
Thank you! Just replaced my hood release latch cable assembly, when I removed the cruise control module the line came off, couldn't for the life if me find where it went.
I noticed if it’s not plugged in and you don’t have AC on air will flow through the vents while driving. but in stop the heat from the engine will travel as well.
Well I only watched this a dozen times, would have helped with voice, I found it under and on the fenderwall/ Thank you, I still wouldn't have found it without this video.
Thanks for the video I knew it had to go to vacuum reservoir I saw one of the ends went to a hose that goes inside I was starting to think someone removed it or was in an accident at one time and didn't get put back on. So before I spent too much time I went to the RUclips first video I saw was this I've been a tech for 35yrs and would of took me a while to find that nipple
8 years later and you are still helping people out with this vedio. Thank you very much. You're a life saver. God bless.

Sure, but it is nice to have the hvac stay where you set it and the front axle not unlock when accelerating or driving uphill.
