So easy to make this entire piece sound like a total mess! But Olga articulates this in a way that starts to make some sense of it for the rest of us mortals! Amazing!

Diese Sonate ist wohl das Extremste, das man auf diesem Instrument an Gedanken und Gefühlen ausdrücken kann. Sie meistern es mit einer Souveränität, die ihresgleichen sucht.Gerne würde ich Sie in meine Heimatstadt einladen, aber ich fürchte, die ist für Sie zwei Nummern zu klein. Immerhin, Fazil Say und Giora Feidmann waren hier. Alles Gute, take care.
Well, that was utterly phenomenal. Ohe hears this piece in just about every competition, but never like this: the pathos, the power, the *understanding* of Prokofiev's idiom. Most of all, it's just not just about athleticism or getting a metallic sound, but integrating the various elements across and within movements. Absolutely loved how the slower, quieter episodes were given such care in the first movement, almost like I'd never heard them before. Bravissima.

This is Ms. Scheps' second recording of the Seventh Sonata on RUclips and both versions are excellent. She should record all nine sonatas for a major record label. She is an outstanding artist.

I don't have the musical pedigree to comment intelligently enough for some but as a human being I believe that I now know what turmoil, frustration, confusion and fear sound like when perfectly expressed on a piano. Thank you Olga Scheps, that was "insanely" brilliant.

A marvellous perfomance. Olga is always so good in articulating her playing, her feelings, and in the second movement she articulates so well that I get tears in my eyes. Thank you for wonderful playing! Olga and Prokofiev seems to be a marriage made in heaven.

What a poet... written in 1943 with Richter at the keyboard... one of the "war" sonatas... this is so easy to detect in Olga's performance... great imagery !
