Causeway Bay 銅鑼灣 was once a fishing village. In the 1950s, the coastline went through major reclamation. It became the dense commercial and shopping area on the Hong Kong Island. Today, Causeway Bay is dotted with massive shopping malls, food of all cuisine and luxury shopping. The rent in the shopping areas of Causeway Bay was ranked as the world's most expensive, topping New York, London and Paris.
