We were at the Spam Festival at the same time. It was tough to try everything since the lines at each vendor was so long. We did our best. Keep up the good work.
How do you have so much endurance to continue doing so much work to your treasure? You really amaze me all the time - your expertise and patience is something to admire for all us - I really enjoy your shows every time I see them- keep up the great work my friend.
I am enjoying your progress, pretty much what I have been working on. Lots of fitting, wings, doors, floor pans and inner sills that came with the car. New inner sills I questioned the spot weld quality so I have added plug welds to make sure they stay together. Easier to fix it now rather than after they are in place. Middle section of my car was not really there so middle is being reconstructed and I feel we are getting close to reuniting front and back. Still more measuring before we will be welding. Thank you for the videos, Frank
David, I am watching this for the second time because I have been keeping up with Elin's project and wanted to see what kind of surprises you encountered. It is amazing how well (NOT) the sheet metal parts fit. I hope when I get to putting on my TR6 hood, fenders and doors, I will not have those heart attack WTF moments! Your Hawaii section of this video was a nice break, I am watching this video from Southern Brazil, so warm weather and ocean front are not making me long for warm weather, it's 29c here, 18c at home. I have been anxiously waiting on your TR3 updates or the TR4 engine rebuild updates.
Hi Jim, yes…my TR3A will definitely require quite a bit of work to get the front end and bonnet looking better. We had a bit of a set back on the TR4 project as the machine shop had some issues with the parts we supplied (valve guides) as he broke two installing them. So, new parts have been ordered and we are waiting for them to arrive. In the meantime, I’m doing a renovation job on my garage and am very busy at work till about mid May unfortunately. I’ll see what I can get done in the little time I’ll have to be out in the garage.
Nice to see the car next the garage. I can´t wait to see the flying bodies of the Triumph. I think Elin give you a helping hand if you need it for the fender and the bonnet.
This project looks like mine, but I am doing a TR6 with valance swaps. Elin needs to have a video about Ford F series bed repairs for wheel arch, he looks like a kid with a new toy. I was going to send you a bon voyage message, since it has been over 2 weeks, as a joke, but you really were away. Keep the TR3 videos going!
Elin looks very happy with the 59 TR3, he gave it a good hug. nice projects and rescues. so your going to use the 57 chassis on the 59 it looks like? cool on the trip to Hawaii great place to visit.
Funny, I never got sent to work in a lab in Hawaii. 😞 Good to see the TR3s together in the garage. Did you way why you are swapping the bodies, or if you didn't, would you? Thanks for another entertaining and informative video.
Hi Bruce, I’m swapping bodies as the 57 body is in much better shape than the 59. It should take about 6 months off my restoration time….I have a lot of projects to get to!
I’ve been watching the 1959 TR3 videos from six or seven years ago. Was looking forward to seeing you attack the sills. Getting the feeling that this maroon car is from years ago? So many cars over the years I’m confused.
Thats ok, I get confused as well! Yes, this is the car from years ago. It has been sitting for 6 years at the side of the house. The Sills will eventually be changed out.
Hard to explain, but I’m completing the 59 project for personal reasons…the 57 body tub that is in much better condition will help me move the project along much more quickly. The 57 project has been sold to Elin and he will complete that project eventually.
You made great progress moving the cars and getting a lot of plans set in your mind. That makes it move forward much quicker ...when one knows the plan. Thanks for letting us visit.
Lol, everyday I drove by a place called "magnum helicopters" on my way to work...they had the mini van outside and all the tour helicopters painted in "island hoppers" colours from the tv show....I didn't see a red ferarri though 🙂

Yes, I couldn’t believe how packed it was!

Keep tinkering in the garage. I have TR3 fever!
I would pay money to see you surfing, Tush! 😀 The lengths you go to, just so you don’t have to sand down the Bondo….
I’d have to have a pretty big board I imagine but I’d love to give it a shot! 😎
Those TR3s sure run quietly!
They run on beer.....

Those are some cool wheels on the '59
I like them as well. I think they will show up later on my 62 TR4 project. Going to be wires on the 59 ( I think ).

Yes, his truck is pretty rusty 😉
I have whip-lash from the Canada to Waikiki travel... gorgeous location. Hope it was all pleasure.
I am afraid not, 95 per cent Business....but...there are worst places to have to work! 🙂
A Chef with two aprons!

That’s correct Robert. Cheers, Tush
Cool

I must have missed the reason why you are swapping bodies.

Did you rent a Ferrari and solve any crimes while in Hawaii?
