    Great video Rick and Ricky.
    Very professional job.
    I never thought about the tensioner being bad.
    Make sense.
    I would hate to think what this job would cost at the Dealership or a Repair shop.
    You guys make a great team.
    Thanks for sharing.
    Take care, Ed.

      @@jerayracing just have a question- I found the tensioner and idler pulley, but what is the other pulley that you are replacing?

    • @trackandtravelwithrick8933
      @trackandtravelwithrick8933 8 месяцев назад +1

      The ribbed pulley was called the idler
      The smooth one was called the tensioner pulley per Rock Auto. I had my local parts guy look it all up and supply them. 15k later and it’s holding up well.

    What part is number 1 on the diagram ?

    • @jerayracing
      @jerayracing  3 месяца назад +1

      #1 is an idler pulley, if it spins free and is not gritty you can leave it. I replaced mine but I think it was ok. My problem was the tensioner was weak

    My problem is when i hard accelerate i start smelling a burning rubber smell i recently changed my alternator but would the problem be fixed by replacing this?

    • @jerayracing
      @jerayracing  Год назад +1

      After doing this, the burnt rubber smell did go away. It was most likely more the tensioner going bad than the pulleys.

    • @trackandtravelwithrick8933
      @trackandtravelwithrick8933 Год назад +1

      For sure it was the tensioner. Wasted money on the pulleys they were fine but new tensioner spring was much stiffer
      Thanks for watching
