No offense, but what's so interesting about the 767? Take for instance other designs like the 747 or DC-10, who are instantly recognizable, charismatic aircraft. To me, this thing has zero 'personality'; it's just a tube with wings.
+Barton Seven The cargo door is on the forward port side, between the passenger door and the wing root. It is very hard to see, but in the close-up at 5:03 you can just make it out, especially the upper edge.
+Spectator1959 I disagree. On the pan back to the left, there isn't a bottom part of the cargo door. I see the section you are talking about. But I don't think that it's big enough to be a cargo door.
+Barton Seven It's there. You can see the bottom edge of the cargo door at the top of the video frame when the camera pans back from the tail to the nose. It' just about even or a little higher than the top surface of the wing, but farther forward. The door is the same one used on the 767 cargo versions. The KC-46A can carry up to 18 pallets and they have to come in somewhere. :) Here's a pic of a 767 cargo door open: blog.flightstory.net/822/first-767-300-boeing-converted-freighter-goes-to-ana/
I find it a bit strange that they are making a tanker out of an already 30 year old design. Not be bigger and better to modify a 777F to become one. Bigger, better, more economical and advanced than a 762?
Liam Hunter - Why does it matter when the original airframe as designed? A lot of new design work is added to make it into a fueler/cargo air raft, and it is newly built, not a conversion.
Always nice to see the old 767-200 out again! One of my favorites :)
It's cool seeing an "upgraded" 762! Loving the 787 LED style lights too!
Wonderful 767 with wonderful PW4000 engines! :)
Looks amazing!!!! I just love the Boeing 767 design. Awesome video!!!!

Interesting that it doesn't have a cargo door. Great video!

+Barton Seven Absolutely has a cargo door.
amazing video, i love USA
Looks really cool. :)
Small details - Did this get the 787 Dreamliners flashing red lights as they stay on for a second like the 787?
Long live the 767!
what type turbines are these they're a lot quieter than previous 767 you're filmed
whats with the unpainted ana 787s in the back at 2:49 and Jetblue at paine :D love seeing an airbus their also why are their westjets back their
Um I could be mistaken bur thats not a highspeed taxi as advertised
Wonder why there is a JetBlue a320 with sharklets parked at Boeing field
+jack oloughlin This is Paine Field in Everett. The Airbust is parked at Aircraft Technical Services.
No winglets and no boom... They must really want to start testing this thing.
It wouldn't have winglets to start with anyway
damn must have been concept photos I was looking at then...
+FlightSimulatorXATC There is a bunch of cool stuff not installed on this one yet.
It’s a camera not computer screen

The states needed something to handle the shorter runways so this is why we see the 762. Would've been cool to see a modified 777F!
I read early on Boeing proposed the 777 but the Air Force wanted something smaller.
It will be too big and expensive for what the USAF wants

🤔what's the tether flying from the rudder for?
The Naked Trucker a trailing cone is attached to a sensor to calibrate the altitude reading.
I just learned about these.
Is that a 767-300
There is no refueling boom.!
Because it's not installed yet in this stage!
Why is there a JetBlue a321 there? Thats hostile territory for Airbus lol
***** There's a contract hangar in the back that installs wifi on the new JetBlue aircraft! It's a nice change of scenery once in a while.
***** Ahh. Gotcha, thanks for the response.
why use 20yrs old plane....
tedwijaya1 - Because it is the airframe that best fits the requirements. Anyway, it isn’t 20 years old. This aircraft is brand-new.
Hehe, looks like the price tag is hanging off the tail
Scotty Catman - This one is named Minnie Pearl.
I would be impressed if they based this off a 787 rather than the obsolete wanking geriatric 767 which first flew 33 years ago.
And still wearing a tampon on its tail. Such a boring, soulless piece of metal. Will be a sad day when the Stratotanker is gone.
