All the people you see with their names being shown are other big-time singers, musicians, and producers in the industry. Although two of them (both singers), we dont talk about anymore because they are no longer part of the music industry and i think one of them is in prison for what he did while the other one retired. in this part in mr. ambiguous the producer and staff were playing a prank as far as i know. the producer asked why they're not singing live, so they filmed again and mamamoo sang live. then they said that the way they sang wasn't good enough, which is also why they almost cried. then they started laughing and told them it was a prank. mr. ambiguous was mamamoo's debut song, so they didn't know it better. at least that's what i once read. hope i could help😊💕

Lastly, Ricky and Yul are in a car, parked on the side of a busy street, and see a girl walking past. I can't believe you liked um oh ah yeah more than piano man, but girl, same XD that's actually one of mamamoo and moomoo's anthem. every live stages of that song is so fun and it gets messier as time passes, and by that i mean there are just too many things happening on stage. adlibs, intentionally ruining the song, "physical" interactions and sometimes you just question their minds. Um Oh Ah Yeah will always be my favourite song from them - its also an iconic encore song they sing at the end of their festivals and live performances til this day. Also the adlibs are iconic too ! This song is also what started the Mamamoo domination in South Korea getting them top 5 on Melon and one of the best girl group summer comebacks that year despite the competition from AOA, 9Muses, Sistar etc and they were only 1 years old. Also I agree, I don't consider this solely cutesy - its more funky retro synth style that I love!
People should react more to piano man. It was the first Mamamoo song I've heard and I was hooked from the begining. It is so unique (as mostly they do tbh) and still get the same euforic powerful retro bitch feeling I had at the first time.

UOAH is honestly like, kinda underrated? It helped set them up for their first win with You're The Best, sure, but the boldness of that MV, with the sexiness and storyline, first (of their MVS) to do the sped up funny ending bit, the style of the song, the vocals...wow. (Though the color saturation makes my eyes bleed)

Oml it’s so good to see another um oh ah yeah enthusiast, it’s my all time fav mamamoo track and and the live performances are soooo much better than the studio ver (which says a lot cus the studio ver slaps) . They always used to do ad-libs at the end shouting thanks to the mcs/ fans/ camera men/ ppl behind the scenes which was so cute. The choreo is so good and fun, kinda bouncy if I was to describe it, but doesn’t make them run out of breath so we can hear their vocals. energy is just THERE. I do hope we get another fun mamamoo title track like this. But tbh I’m happy with whatever they put out as they’re so talented everything kinda just works for them??

Thank you for explaining the hesitance around reacting to live performances from award shows or Korean shows, I understand where you're coming from. However, I strongly believe to see Mamamoo as artists and how they approach it, their live stages ESPECIALLY for award shows is it (we're gonna forget about MMA 2019 because they were trash and disrespected our girls so hard). MAMA 2018 Japan holds a special place in all Moo Moos hearts because this was the first time Mamamoo was invited to perform at a big award show, especially MAMA - and they literally TORE UP THE STAGE. They are heavily involved in the creation of stages like this so it's why I think a lot of us are like "omg react to this!" However, if you still don't feel comfortable I understand! I think others may have suggestions already so you have plenty to choose from!

The scenes From 4:18 to 5:23 is basically a prank by their agency. They brought in a well known artist to watch the girls and she was actually really “harsh” in her criticism; then the producer said “Solar, she’s a really good actress right?” And the girls started to cry because they thought she was being real and they were relieved it was a joke. This scene was one take and real tears and reaction from the girls which they added to the video.
oh yeah, on the mama 2018 and 2019 performances everyone always asks for... honestly, the best versions of those are unofficial uploads and not just to avoid copyright strikes. mnet loves putting each song in its own little video and uploading like 15 videos at a time with no one sure what order they were in, so they easily get mixed up. there are fan-uploaded ones that are the whole 8 minutes (for 2018) or nearly 11 minutes (for 2019. it also includes jyp's parts) with everything in order. manages to not lose the momentum that way, too
YES. I started watching Mamamoo during the Um Oh Ah Yeah era and it still remains to be a personal favorite. I’d also recommend watching the compilation of the various adlibs they’ve done to this song in live stages and also the time they did a part switch for Um Oh Ah Yeah where Hwasa and Moonbyul sang while Solar and Wheein rapped. Um Oh Ah Yeah truly has given Mamamoo some of their best stage adlibs they’ve ever done.

That little scene with the Producer (Baek Z Young) for Mr Ambiguous, she pretended to be extremely underwhelmed by Mamamoo and was criticizing them (jokingly ofc). As you can see from the members' reaction, they were extremely shocked to the point of almost crying (as this was their debut song). Then the director revealed that she was joking and they all laughed about it!

Mr. Ambiguous was on Hello, Piano Man was on Piano Man, Um Oh, Ah, Yeh was on Pink Funky You actually watched them in chronological order for title tracks~ And I like that you noticed that it was 60s inspired, because Mamamoo themselves have talked about the inspirations of these three songs, and Mr. Ambiguous was meant to be inspired by 60s blues and funk. Piano Man was inspired by 70s Electro-swing dance. While Um Oh Ah Yeh was inspired by 90s Synth pop. They didn't just go into the "retro" theme at the beginning with the all encompassing idea of what retro should be and make it a one a done aspect of their music. Instead you can tell they did a musical deep dive into specific styles and genres of older music and blending that into retro-inspired pop which REALLY shows the musicality they went for. Seeing that you noticed that, is one of the reasons why I enjoy your reactions as although you consider yourself a casual listener and not deeply a musician, you notice these small musical aspects that they intentionally put in that most people miss. (Also fun fact with UOAY, IDK if you noticed Wheein as one of the guys. They couldn't afford more female actors and they had to have someone act as the main girl, so Solar was the only one not dressed as a guy. In interviews, they were always like "Did you win a punishment game?", and she was like "I LOST THE PUNISHMENT GAME. I WANTED TO DRESS UP TOO!")

I can't believe you liked um oh ah yeah more than piano man, but girl, same XD that's actually one of mamamoo and moomoo's anthem. every live stages of that song is so fun and it gets messier as time passes, and by that i mean there are just too many things happening on stage. adlibs, intentionally ruining the song, "physical" interactions and sometimes you just question their minds. Um Oh Ah Yeah will always be my favourite song from them - its also an iconic encore song they sing at the end of their festivals and live performances til this day. Also the adlibs are iconic too ! This song is also what started the Mamamoo domination in South Korea getting them top 5 on Melon and one of the best girl group summer comebacks that year despite the competition from AOA, 9Muses, Sistar etc and they were only 1 years old. Also I agree, I don't consider this solely cutesy - its more funky retro synth style that I love!

UOAH is honestly like, kinda underrated? It helped set them up for their first win with You're The Best, sure, but the boldness of that MV, with the sexiness and storyline, first (of their MVS) to do the sped up funny ending bit, the style of the song, the vocals...wow.

Oml it’s so good to see another um oh ah yeah enthusiast, it’s my all time fav mamamoo track and and the live performances are soooo much better than the studio ver (which says a lot cus the studio ver slaps) . They always used to do ad-libs at the end shouting thanks to the mcs/ fans/ camera men/ ppl behind the scenes which was so cute. The choreo is so good and fun, kinda bouncy if I was to describe it, but doesn’t make them run out of breath so we can hear their vocals. energy is just THERE. Thank you for explaining the hesitance around reacting to live performances from award shows or Korean shows, I understand where you're coming from. However, I strongly believe to see Mamamoo as artists and how they approach it, their live stages ESPECIALLY for award shows is it (we're gonna forget about MMA 2019 because they were trash and disrespected our girls so hard).
MAMA 2018 Japan holds a special place in all Moo Moos hearts because this was the first time Mamamoo was invited to perform at a big award show, especially MAMA - and they literally TORE UP THE STAGE. They are heavily involved in the creation of stages like this so it's why I think a lot of us are like "omg react to this!"
However, if you still don't feel comfortable I understand! I think others may have suggestions already so you have plenty to choose from!

The scenes From 4:18 to 5:23 is basically a prank by their agency. They brought in a well known artist to watch the girls and she was actually really “harsh” in her criticism; then the producer said “Solar, she’s a really good actress right?” And the girls started to cry because they thought she was being real and they were relieved it was a joke. This scene was one take and real tears and reaction from the girls which they added to the video.

oh yeah, on the mama 2018 and 2019 performances everyone always asks for... honestly, the best versions of those are unofficial uploads and not just to avoid copyright strikes. mnet loves putting each song in its own little video and uploading like 15 videos at a time with no one sure what order they were in, so they easily get mixed up. there are fan-uploaded ones that are the whole 8 minutes (for 2018) or nearly 11 minutes (for 2019. it also includes jyp's parts) with everything in order. manages to not lose the momentum that way, too

I’d also recommend watching the compilation of the various adlibs they’ve done to this song in live stages and also the time they did a part switch for Um Oh Ah Yeah where Hwasa and Moonbyul sang while Solar and Wheein rapped. Um Oh Ah Yeah truly has given Mamamoo some of their best stage adlibs they’ve ever done.
Can you imagine, even in the beginning of their career, Mamamoo was different than the normal girl group act. They had to to start somewhere and see how they have grown into what they are now

Um Oh Ah Yeah MV is about Solar falling in love with the 'boy' (Moonbyul), and she tries to catch his attention. At the end, on the bed scene, the girl who enters the room asks Moonbyul "Unnie, who is that girl?" and that's when Solar realizes that the 'boy' is not a boy but a girl with a kind of tomboy style? So that's what make it so funny.
Also, Um Oh Ah Yeah is one of the songs they made a lot of different adlibs at different stages, it's so fun to see. You must see the one when they change singing parts so Byul sings and Wheein and Solar rap.

And I like that you noticed that it was 60s inspired, because Mamamoo themselves have talked about the inspirations of these three songs, and Mr. Ambiguous was meant to be inspired by 60s blues and funk. Piano Man was inspired by 70s Electro-swing dance. While Um Oh Ah Yeh was inspired by 90s Synth pop. They didn't just go into the "retro" theme at the beginning with the all encompassing idea of what retro should be and make it a one a done aspect of their music. Instead you can tell they did a musical deep dive into specific styles and genres of older music and blending that into retro-inspired pop which REALLY shows the musicality they went for. Seeing that you noticed that, is one of the reasons why I enjoy your reactions as although you consider yourself a casual listener and not deeply a musician, you notice these small musical aspects that they intentionally put in that most people miss.
(Also fun fact with UOAY, IDK if you noticed Wheein as one of the guys. They couldn't afford more female actors and they had to have someone act as the main girl, so Solar was the only one not dressed as a guy. In interviews, they were always like "Did you win a punishment game?", and she was like "I LOST THE PUNISHMENT GAME. I WANTED TO DRESS UP TOO!")
