This is a good reaction, wish you can include some of their early R&B songs such as " Don't be happy " and " better than I Thought " cus Mamamoo doesn't disappoint 💕
I know you focus on the music first and foremost but Um Oh Ah Yeah is a good example of an MV that adds another dimension to the song. The video is so farcical that there's no way to get what they're up to on the first view but I'm sure you noticed some of the questionable activities like the sexual harassment and the drink drugging. The song is about a woman flipping the script by taking the lead in starting a relationship and in the MV Mamamoo takes it one step further by flipping the gender script and cross dressing to satirize male misbehavior and sexual fantasies. They also invade male-only spaces in the dance scenes set in a barber shop and a public men's room. Along the way Solar pursues Moonbyul by acting out male porn fantasies of a French maid, a coffee, tea or me stewardess (definitely not a "flight attendant"), and a hot to trot night nurse while Hwasa acts like a jowly gorilla who can't keep his hands to himself. It's a very clever way to use humor to point out how ridiculous, stupid and harmful men can be when they objectivize women as sex objects while questioning stereotypical notions of gender roles and sexuality.
in addition, at the end we learn that the only adequate man who is not obsessed with satisfying his needs is actually a woman.)) And I also like the detail that after Solar finds out that "he" is "she", the song doesn't change. they don't point out this error, they don't sing in the past tense. They also sing that the person is completely her type and in her taste, although it turns out that this is actually a woman 😅
@@Aminat_4x4ever Yes, they question normative heterosexuality by asking What if you thought you were straight but discovered you were attracted to someone of the same gender? and question the social construction of gender identity by presenting it as fluid via the cross dressing. I also love that Moonbyul (unlike Hwasa) is not turned on at all by Solar's attempts to attract her via the supposedly erotic characters she assumes. As they similarly do in Hip to encourage people to clean up their act by mocking internet bullies as people who spit in their own faces, in UOAY they mock male misbehavior by showing how ridiculous, ineffective, crude and/or harmful their sexual fantasies, misdemeanors and outright crimes are via Solar's outrageous behavior. There's probably no better way of giving men a reality check than by showing a woman acting just as badly as guys do. My guess is that most people think of UOAY as just Mamamoo being wacky beagle-dols but there's always a method to their madness and this MV is MMM at their subversive best. 😏
Really enjoyed watching the reaction.... I think you should also go for their commercial ad songs like Woo Woo, Gleam, Wanna be myself and their B side which are fun like 1cm taller, sleep in the car & Aze Gag... Those are totally fun to experience... Apart from music video and songs you may also go through their guide (purple hawk), live v/s studio and other compilation videos....
I'm really really really impressed Mamamoo is getting Awesome excited with catchy pop 😂😂😂😂 BTW I do really think Moonbyul has one of the best flows and pen games in kpop.. she's an artist through and through. For the record she's the most credited female artist in kpop history as a songwriter. Also.. i have to admit she's so wrecking my bias since her last solo album and I have no choice but to be simping her really hard. So between her and Hwasa it is very difficult to catch my breath while watching them.
Hey, just to let you know, if you wanna find the MVs from MAMAMOO official channel, you'll have to go directly to the channel and type the name in to find it instead of searching from the YT search bar.. That's because RBW, for some reason, loves to not put in the English name of MAMAMOO's songs onto the title, and sometimes they don't event put in the English name of MAMAMOO (especially for MAMAMOO+, it used to be only 마마무+, until AFTER MoonSun completed their promotion week... 🙃)
Now, people are looking for dating scandals of Mamamoo. 😂 Only Hwasa admitted she dated an ordinary man, the song of Twit. On uhm oh ah yeah, solar and moonbyul pranked Dispatch. They thought Byul random dude Solar dating. 😂
@@lizjocano7436 Moonbyul also mentioned being in a relationship but had broken up before debut. Though I don't remember how long the relationship was, but many of Moonbyul's breakup songs' lyrics were written with her ex in mind. 👀😅
Guess some there do like Kpop, or would travel there for a kpop concert seeing as Mamamoo My Con has already sold over 4k tickets there. Not huge, huge numbers but it is something.
Being a TV show, it's a little dangerous to post a reaction to, but track down and watch MNET's "Good Girl Who Robbed the Broadcaster". It contains a mix of top-notch female vocalists and indie rappers...Lee Youngji in particular has really bloomed following this show.
5k likes and Phaedra will do her taxes

You guys should check out the LG commercial MV. Also I think you guys would appreciate the collabs they do with other artists. Buy mamamoo tickets!!😂
It's time to check the Moonbyul solo stuff.
I can see him turning into a moomoo.
BTW Nashville concert looked lit and with a good attendance.
More reaction when Phaedra is back from Italy
Did the one scene with the long mirror in you’re the best look like the opening scene in Windflower?
Here's a stage performance of Um oh ah yeh where they swapped parts, I hope you like it! 👍 ruclips.net/video/FTCqYqivbOE/видео.html

I still think its kinda weird that mamamoo chose nashville as a stop. I find ithard to believe anyone from there would care to see a kpop group
The 3 people there will have the time of their lives

Mamamoo is mature and sexual without being stripperiffic, which is where most "adult concept" girl groups go (Dalshabet, for example)

my least favorite songs
of them but I do love its
acapella/b-box version!
That song was a bop
Request for Ahh oop❤
Can you please do reaction about "Mamamoo failing their own songd' "mamamoo cant lip sync" and 'the Mamamoo moments i think about" ❤❤❤❤
I don't really care for things not related to music when it comes to artists
I understand. Sorry i am new to this channel so i didn't knew ... anyway thanks for reacting to mamamoo ❤
Sorry, but saying “nostalgic” and “2015” in the same sentence is lolz. It’s 8 years.
That's old for Phaedra
It is sort of nostalgic for me though, because that's like one quarter of my life. 🤣😅
