I bought one many months ago, when I was inexperienced and realized that the parts weren't fitting well and threw it away. Months later, when I noticed that kits aren't always perfect, I bought it again and managed to assemble it right. It is a very nice kit, because fitting parts on this kit is an art, it has a rich decal sheet and all of these at a reasonable price.
Yeah this is quite an old kit but the new release includes excellent decals. I can imagine it would be very challenging for a first build. Well done for coming back to it
What a classic rally car Thomas. Your review makes wonna buy it! 🙂 And i just bought Subaru Impreza and Peugeot 206 from Heller. 😀😀 Waiting for the finished model.
Thank you! Heller are about to release this again even though this set is only from 2018. I have made the 206 - which year is it? I reviewed the 2003 I think.
I've got the Heller Renault RE23 F1 car in 1/12th scale which has the rubber wiring loom plus the engine belts , I haven't noticed them being done by anyone else, also have their Ligier JS11. looking forward to the build
Oh wow, I've seen that - I want to do a 1/12 F1 eventually. It is maybe a Heller thing - the other cars of theirs I have made were either curbside or a rebox from Revell or Italeri, so none had this feature.
The Tamiya kit is a much more recent tool even though its of the 71 Alpine whilst this is the 73. I actually looked at the Tamiya instructions to find the right paint for this one - Tamiya TS 54 light metallic blue. 👍
To be honest the kit itself is rubbish by modern standards. I know this is ~60 y.o. kit based on scalemates. It will be lots of work to build it into good model.
I know it's old (although I think from the early 1970s going by the body style) but sometimes I enjoy the challenge of building such an old kit. Besides, I believe in my own ability to make this turn out nicely.
What do you think of this kit? I think the level of detail for such an old model is pretty impressive!

@@BOABModels 😀😀😀
Thanks again for your time!
You're welcome! I hope it's useful!
That's a very cool kit and thanks for the unboxing and history! I built the tamiya version but not the Heller kit,so I need to get me one Thomas!
You're welcome! I'd have loved to find the Tamiya, but this was new so I knew everything would be there.
@@BOABModels it looks like a great kit!
@@thescalemodelcarguychannel8681 yeah, and it certainly has some unique features like mud guards and wires.
@@BOABModels yes I love that it has the wires, I build the Heller Renault alpine a100 and it had wires to!
@@thescalemodelcarguychannel8681 it must be a Heller feature.
beautiful !! awesome update.
Thank you, Eric! 👍

Cool! Yeah it looks pretty good and the Tamiya kit isn't easy to find. Thanks for watching!
Seems to be an interesting kit. Let's see how well it assembles
Thanks, Gustavo. Having now started it, I can see it is old but at the same time there is almost no flash. It's a very clean kit.
Cool car 👍😊👍
Thank you my friend! 👍
NICE ONE... I LIKE IT
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Check out my build series of the Alpine too.
Wow this is a nice kit I never knew about
It's pretty good for its age. I'd like to make the Tamiya to compare.
Very nice car.
Thanks mate! 👍
I WOULD LOVE TO OWN THIS AS SCALEMODEL
It's a lovely car. Have a look at my build series too.
