Blue Ridge Minute: Fincastle

A one minute visual tour of historic Fincastle. Fincastle, Virginia was founded in 1772. It is the county seat for Botetourt County, whose boundaries once stretched all the way to the Mississippi River before the west was settled and still feels like an old colonial town, with historic buildings and churches and a lovely pie shop downtown. William Clark, of Lewis and Clark, married local girl Julia Hancock there in 1807.
