Hey Tony, Can you help me? At school, I always get bullied at class. One of my classmate is a bully and I didn't know he is a bully and he spit at me after looking at him many times. I'm scared to throw some strike because they think I'm the one who bully them. Can you teach me a self Defense against school bully? Edit: He almost show his fist and point at my face and which mean he want to punch me in the face
@@DannishPlaysReturnsDamn..god help you on this one If I was there I would’ve beaten his arse to a pulp Tony help this guy man You’re always good at saving people at boxing
As an army infantryman we always said “no matter what you’re doing look cool doing it” and truly it does help you perform better in anything looks matter take pride you’ll feel it
Adaptation is what I’m seeing out of my favorite boxers- especially top level guys like Bud Crawford and Inoue… that’s the boxing IQ right there. Lomachenko, Usyk.
It is funny, that most of this list can be applied to most of the life. Im a profesional musician, and learning how important are the "little things", how to breathe with the melody, how to deal with stress of performing in front of a crowd, how to listen to the crowd and adapt my music on the go took me a lot of the time. Even learning how to fuel your body makes a difference because when you are performing you'd rather be focused on the instrument, and not on the fact that your stomach doesnt feel quite right.
great info accurate points im new to boxing only had two fights and got more planned ahead for this year and can safely say im not bad 😂😂but after 12 years of thai/kickboxing i still learn something new everyday when it comes to boxing especially watching your vids so big thanks to you mate 🥊🥊
I've heard of that. I'm sorry, I need to ask the question. Is it a real combat system/sport or is it a historical reconstruction? The HEMA people do not care about what actually works. They only care about historical texts.
Loving the vids just an idea for a video that could help somwone like me at the moment tony if it interests you as a challenge! I'm currently training im 38 got 3 kids so being amateur and living on a budget a video on affordable and cheaper substitutes for a diet plan thats healthy for a boxer building for a fight. Great vids.
Thank you very much Tony! I'm surprised about #5 breathing. I'm glad to hear you include that in your training. In martial arts, it's 1 of, if not the 1st thing that is taught. As important as it is for striking, I would have thought that it would be up there in boxing.
That why we have you to teach us how to get better the best coach great explanations and great tips from you,we keep improving becouse of you,so thank you Tony
Another great and very informative video Tony. I’ve been pushing to other Coaches and parents for their kids to eat bacon in their meal before a fight for years. Also for them to increase their sleep which is very critical in an athlete’s performance. Thanks again Tony. ✝️🇺🇸🥊Coach Mando from the Alamo City.
Can you make a video about nutrition please? Like how many time a boxer should eat a day and what tipe of aliments for have a good ammount of energy and muscle growth, love youre videos by the way
Hey Tony. I notice you don't have any videos talking about the parry. Like the pros and cons and common mistakes made. Will you ever do a video like that? I'm trying to learn how to parry correctly.
Hello tony, thanks a lot for everything you do on your channel, really helps a lot. Please make a vide on the hitman style, and how to avoid hyperextension with the flicker jab as it is very tricky. It was used by Thomas hearns, I have a similar build like him, and it might just work out for me. :)
Personally, I wouldn’t listen to music. If you get used to having something motivating, what will you do in the ring, or out of the ring, when no one’s motivating you?
Bacon is a super food I've been saying this for a while (been on zero carb/fibre for medical), it contains a whole load of nutrition and minimum negatives.. aslong as it's good quality.. and you shouldn't overcook it either unfortunately (avoid crispy bacon for most health benefits 😞)
@user-op2qh2xe5y animals are food, they always have been and always will be. Atleast I actually eat the animals that are killed for my food, you eat the crappy vegetables that the animals get killed to preserve, it's an absolute waste of life and lack of nutrition
I've been doing boxing 4 months now and I had to move and get a fast food job. They actually pay over miminum wage so it's nice, and I get free meals. But I've been eating burgers 4 times a week to save money, idk how to feel about it. On workdays I usually drink protein shakes because I don't get enough from my 1 meal at my work that packs over 2000 calories. I eat really good on my days off when I have boxing but should I start bringing in my own meals? It'll be way pricier but I'm still keeping my macros and calories about the same on days off and work days
I noticed I was a bit better at jabs straight uppercuts. My hooks are meh. I love the teacher I met I was good at jump roping was in the gym teaching him some tricks the guy I met is from Japan been boxing 20 years he is soo fast endless knowledge. I notice when we spar I back up too much almost afraid sometimes of being hit even though being hit doesn't really bother me it's more of a natural reaction. even with blocking and weaving and dodges. If he wanted to get really aggressive I would be done for or pinned in an actual fight and just smacked to hell.
Bacon???? My Grandad was a boxer from Yorkshire and was on that “English Health Food” diet too. Too bad he died the year before I was born from a massive heart attack. The only bacon I eat now is made from turkey; all the taste 90% less fat. Still killing it at 66 😎🇨🇦🥊
@Tony_Jeffries I have a fighter that keeps dropping their head when throwing their cross and also when they throw multiple punches. Any suggestions to help get them to keep their head up?

Congratulations on 2.29Million subscribers Tony! I've been with you from the beginning. I've got to get myself some of that good bacon.
"Shee" or "Haaa" exhale during the punch. One of the best jabs ever, Larry Holmes, have a listen to his "Haaa".

I don't think eating an entire pound of any food right before your workout is a good idea.
