Hi Barry, Just wanted to say what a great channel. You mention that you have archived little in your life. This can't be true. You served with the RNLI and saved lives at sea. Many of them would have been yachties like your self. These people would not still be able following their dream if it wasn't for selfless people like yourself. I hope you enjoy the second half as much as you have the first.

I am a yachtie and used to live in Auckland. Kept my yacht in the Bay of Islands over the Summer - make sure you drop into Russell on your way down Barry. Beautiful!
Nice one Barry you have done soooo well, Get someone to put (weld) at good saddle patch on the stainless tube for you wind turbine. it's so good the beer give a tune, I solute you with a Auchentoshan, had to look at the bottle to spell it,!!!! Atb From the High Peak Buxton.
I really enjoy watching your videos, they are always adventurous and full of surprises ! There is something about your minimalist style that just feels so realistic to me. Some other channels with huge budgets lack excitement and appear to be having it all to easy, when something breaks it's not a problem for them but when you need to repair something you show a lot of real world ingenuity, it also has a much more profound effect. Losing a wind generator might not seem like a big deal to some people but for someone who is already having issues with low batteries that is a major issue, that little mishap could have been disastrous if it happened earlier in the trip ! It would be nice to see you getting more financial support but in some ways it's the limited support that makes your channel so relatable.
Great vid again Barry,if you want to slow the roll of the boat,hang a bucket out with 3/4 of the inside diameter cut out,it causes drag,will reduce speed but slow the roll,the principle comes off fishing/prawn trawlers that I’ve worked,it will be biased to one side.
