- Drew has to use all his haggling skills when he finds several interesting antiques in the shed of Bakelite Museum owner and ex-antique dealer, Patrick Cook.
This is my favourite clip. Drew getting told straight buy the seller is refreshing to see.
Patrick is hilarious and he knows his stuff. Wasn't giving anything away for cheap, good for him. Seems like a great guy to chat with.
When the Patrick guy said to Drew "cos I feel sorry for you" he was clearly trying to insult or put him down, but Drew came back and made him look a bit silly by saying "you can feel sorry for me all day long".. which was very revealing as it showed what a tough and experienced dealer Drew really is.
I like this Patrick cat; he's got style.
Smart and crazy
Oh Patrick, you're not an architectural salvage dealer anymore. You've invited him down, you gotta let Drew earn a crust and you were really quite insulting.
Drew has the patience of a saint sometimes....
they type of dealer you never go back to
The Erno Goldfinger lamps are in a pub in Brighton over the bar
The Descendant of the Monopoly man personified.
I specialize in disapointing people... classic
Patrick Cook's word choices give the impression he can't replace his inventory once he sells something.
Patrick is the kind of guy to collect forever and never sell because everyone is paying "scrapyard prices", only to leave the shed to relatives who pay to dump it all.
Never see a Hurst pulling a uhaul..these hoarders are sick
guy in the first cut looks like hes still on a LSD trip from the 70s
Is that Bruce Forsyth's brother!!
No it's Bruce's dad
I love the idea of recycling and renewal but this mans trade amongst the most disreputable
People like Patrick annoy me. They call you and promise the world, you get there and it's a waste of time.
I would just not leave any cent of my money at him.
Jeeze that guy selling items to Drew is wanting ALL the money things. He doesn’t want to help out at all. And what’s ironic is he isn’t doing anything with those items. They’ve been there for decades and would probably be there for several more decades until the man passes away. He even wants full on retail money for broken items. He’s lost his marbles😐
🙆🙌👍😁
Annoying guy but probably why he isn't getting battered by Drew's hustle
That chap was totally out of touch with today's prices, stick to your museum mate
2 sharks
Sorry.. I can't get excited about bakerlite
I would have walked out , could not deal with anyone like that mad eccentric delusional fool.
