It also has a zero fret which aids tuning stability and playability as well as a really nice radiused neck, it plays like an electric guitar and the 35" scale doesn't hinder the playability. A great playing little guitar with a great sound too!
Thanks for watching - Derek

Just purchased the Nova Go SP1 in sparkling silver. Had a stroke 2yrs ago, and had difficulty playing my guitars. The neck and fret size has made it much easier for me to play again. The built-in effects are incredible, and the reaction from those who hear it for the 1st time is great to see. This travel guitar sounds better than my standard built guitars. I play much better than I did, and I'm able to play longer without any fatigue. Enjoyed your review. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much for the comment and sorry to hear that! A good friend of mine had a stroke recently too, I wish you all the best!
I just ordered an SP1 fromAmazon, $209 is a great price. I was looking at the AeroBand but after watching several videos and reading reviews, I believe this is going to be far superior to the other. I have a couple regular acoustic guitars, but this just looks fun with the effects and they seem to sound great. Can't wait to try it. Be here in 2 days.
This is a great guitar, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
I just got this guitar and I love it. I tuned it and have been playing for a couple of hours now. Thank you for the great review. It helped me decide on this manufacturer and model for my first carbon fibre guitar. I wanted it for travelling and a “just messing around” guitar. Love the sound. 🎉
Thank you.

You’re welcome man! Enjoy it
Hey, I just bought the guitar but haven't received it yet, can you tell me if of actually page overdrive on the app??? A lottt of reviews say that it is not working
Oh I’m not sure to be honest!
I can’t wait to get mine. These guitars are awesome!!
Thanks for watching! Enjoy that guitar!
Now I have to buy a yacht to keep this guitar on so that it stays in tune.
It's ok, you can borrow mine ;)
Just ordered the electric version on Amazon, sale price is 223.99. Talk about luck. Thank you for highlighting the instrument instead of showing off your ability.
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
I checked out the same model, same color too. I'm definitely impressed. Nice review.
Hey Richard! I saw your video, awesome stuff! Cheers
That does look like a blast to play. I need something for camp🔥’s 🤘🏼🇺🇸
It surprised me!!! I enjoy playing it 👍
Add your favorite small battery powered amp and you have the perfect travel/busking/ beach guitar. Pretty impressive for the money. Cheers!
Oh now that’s a good idea! Cheers!
Excellent review and video quality. Keep up the great work man.
Thank you! Appreciate that!
I was looking to see if it was worth buying and from what i have seen, it is, im hoping to get it for Christmas wish me luck😅
if you own a yacht go with the acoustic version since it’s waterproof and can be used as a paddle apparently
True apparently! Might as well get two!
smart move… and keep the electric for the Learjet
Ah now you’re thinking!
Can you confirm if this works as a usb interface with iPhone? The product description indicates that it sends audio through USB to computer and phone, but I’m reading that people are having an issue with this functionality. Thanks.
I’m not sure as it now resides with my niece who is enjoying it
my friend recommended this to me and I'm going to make this my first guitar! I have high hopes.
It’s a great thing! Enjoy it!
I purchased recently this guitar. It’s a fantastic instrument for the price.
A little bit disappointed with the effects section, because I can’t find the overdrive/distortion option (anymore?).
Removed because people didn't understand how easily it could feedback... Or know how to quickly respond when a guitar feeds back. Easy to happen in any acoustic or hollow body guitar with distortion.... Too many beginners to be safe legally to include that feature with this guitar.
@@ramspencer5492 Thank you. I purchased the Sonic Go last week. Problem solved 🙂
@@ramspencer5492it also didn't help that even experienced players who could deal with the feedback, didn't like the overdrive to begin with, and was the main complaint when initially released. It came down to cost at the end of the day. The same reason they changed the case from a decent one, to essentially a bag. It has absolutely nothing to do with legal reasons, or beginners. Beginners complain about the action and neck, not the effects. Because they are clueless as to how to adjust, and can't play barre chords.
im quite dissappointed how they degraded the guitar bag however, i think i understand it it was included from launch to promote the guitar and boost sales. basically a limited edition@dogmosatchmo
Could you recommend a model of nylon strings for this guitar? thank you
I’ve never played nylon strings so I can’t sorry
Videos like this one have made me order the SP-1. And I will compare it to a Big Baby Taylor. I love the Big Baby, especially with its crisp bright sound, and smaller size. But the Taylor Big Baby has to be.. well... BABIED while you're travelling, or else it will get ruined. I've been looking to get one of these fully carbon fiber gitars in travel size, and the Enya Nova Go SP1 might just do the trick!
It is honestly a fun usable travel instrument, I had a lot of fun playing it! thanks for watching!
Thoman do there own version exactly the same but £150 less also on size wise it’s more like the baby Taylor no way near the size of a big baby I’ve owned all three also nut width is tight but they are good fun sound is different 😊
i had one question does it pickup percussion sounds from the body if i do that style of playing??
It will but it won’t be anywhere near as resonant as an acoustic, it uses a piezo pickup under the saddle, cheers
Would you recommend for someone with small hands who is shopping for a guitar? I’ve been trying many and not finding a good fit yet. How is the neck compared to say a baby Taylor? Or mini Martin?
Basically looking for a small acoustic guitar with electric thin like neck. My hands are small and I’ve switched to ukulele for that reasons but lately I’ve been missing guitar.
Thanks for watching, I’d say that the neck is very much guitar like, it’s a smaller guitar for sure and the neck is more like an electric guitar which is great for smaller hands if that helps
About time to buy 1. I don't need it, but I have GAS.
GAS got ya! I’ve been there!
@@DerekPaulGuitar would you happen to know what string
size is used or recommended?
I’m pretty sure it’s 10’s on that guitar
Wondering if this could be strung with nylon strings.
I don’t see why not, but I think nylon stringed instruments have different bridges? (I’m not an expert here) thanks for watching
I saw a vid that states it can be used as a Bluetooth speaker as well, can you play and play recorded audio at the same time?
I didn’t try it but I don’t see why not as the speaker is certainly there!
@@DerekPaulGuitar with effects you think?
I’m not sure but I would have thought so as they are switched on independently
How is the sound projection turned off, does it sound like a baby guitar, or lower?
It does sound like a baby guitar with the sound projection effects off and to be honest it’s a really good sound for its size, I was surprised, and of course the effects add a nice little something to it, thanks for watching
WHAT? "I can leave it on my Yacht?" - yeah when you buy me one.......but I just purchased the guitar!
Wait! You bought it and don’t have a yacht?!!!!
How long does the battery last and how long is the charging
It’s around 2.5 hours full charge and it’ll last for 10 hours
@@DerekPaulGuitar ooh that’s actually really good battery life. thanks for the quick response, just ordered mine.
No worries! It’s an impressive piece of gear!
Hi, how do you charge this guitar?
Hey, there’s a charging port and the cable comes with it, it’s a USB C type cable and needs a USB port to charge
why does you're app have an overdrive effect? could you send me a link to download the app your using?😢
All the info on how to do it is on their site as I remember, thanks
They took away the overdrive effect with an update
How to charge this guitar??
You just use the supplied USB cable, thanks
I plugged it into my guitar amp before changing. Don’t know if that makes a difference, but my amp stated making crazy noises. Can you plug this into a guitar amp
You can, it’s not ideal though, an acoustic amp or PA would be better
@@DerekPaulGuitar ah that may be it. I have one of those monster pa speakers I’m going to try to plug it into that. What did you plug it into?
I used an acoustic amp and also direct into the PC, the PA speaker should be fine though! Cheers
@@DerekPaulGuitar is there anyway to see the charge level for using the internal speaker
@@StumblebumBand There isn't as far as i know, although if you mean the volume? then it can be adjusted using the one control knob, cheers
can it rocks ?
Sure! Run it through a guitar amp and it can!
I keep waiting for the line in your transitions to finish a full sweep through the text and keep being disappointed
Damn! Sorry, must do better!
It's a terrible guitar. The neck is very thick and the action is horrible.
I thought the neck was ok, but I did have to adjust the action as I said
Not on mine lol
Not on mine
It looks cool and i like the size and hoe strong it would be , not worrying about weather and water , but it literally sounds like a tin can
I cant get around it sounds sooooo bad
It really does sound better in the room, I’m surprised at the sound for the size to be honest, thanks for watching though, cheers!
