And why the need of keeping a male and female of every kind, 7 of the pure and 1 of the impure ones. If they could have fled somewhere else.
Also says that the fountains of the deep were broken, and the windows of the heavens as well; which to me sounds like a very great happening. That's why it was called the great flood.

Right on! While the original language does not require a global flood, the geologic record definitely demonstrates that it was. Fossilized trees that are buried upright through “millions of years” worth of rock strata. No indication of erosion or critter activity between the layers. The fact that we observed the formation of a canyon with the same geologic features as the Grand Canyon formed in a matter of MONTHS at the base of Mout Saith Helens. The fact that the geologic column is universal throughout the world, with layers in North America corresponding to layers in China and Europe. Guy Berthhault’s flume experiments at Colorado State University showing strata formation is a function of hydraulic dynamics rather than deposition over time. These and many more examples of real, observational science that show that a global flood is the best explanation for the features all of geology recognizes as fact.

One nitpick I have from this video is that Mr. Strobel went into detail on how the flood was local to placate people who don't believe in the flood account, but then later in the video he says that he has no problem in believing God made Adam out of dust because God is God. Why not just say "well of course God can flood the the entire planet, he is God he can do anything."

The Bible says that it's impossible to please God without faith so God could reveal and prove His existence to everyone but then even though people would believe God would take no pleasure in it. It's about the state of the heart and whether people are only willing to see with their eyes.

I have never tried to interpret Gods word and have always used a Greek and Hebrew concordance to refer and look into the truer meaning of the Hebrew words. I know that the Bible has been one of the most historically accurate books ever written. The location of the Dead Sea crossing along with the world’s leading marine biologist and scientist have found and studied thousands of horse bones , coral encrusted wheels and the thousands of bones of dead Egyptian soldiers. Then there’s Sodom and Gomorrah that have been completely burned to the ground where they once stood with thousands of pure sulfur balls . No other place on earth can these sulfur balls be found. Then there’s the burial Shroud of Turin where the world’s top leading forensic scientist have study it and said that the blood found on the Shroud of Turin doesn’t have any yx or xy chromosomes from the father only from the mother. And the sign of Jonah appears on the route three times. Jesus said you people seek a sign in the only sign that I will leave. You is the sign of Jonah. It’s a very cool documentary and is very convincing and what makes it even more convincing is many of the scientist, forensic scientists Are Jewish who now believe in Yeshua Jesus

Oh man! This is a great video and also Lee Strobbel I have to say thanks for all your insights on how to best answer the whole women shouldn’t speak in church topic.
Such a hard to topic to address and your words and insight of is it prescriptive or descriptive is awesome and also understanding the context. That is for the specific situation. But I also want to say it is still lacking because it isn’t just descriptive but also prescriptive but not to say women are not suppose to talk period. Paul did say also that a man should not suffer being taught in church by a woman and this is said to remind everyone of Gods structure that God made Adam to be the head of the relationship and allowing women to teach men in the church is surrendering that position of being the head of the relationship. Man has his role and women have theirs. God makes this very clear always repeats this in the Bible. Adam didn’t speak up when Eve got tempted by the serpent and Adam only listened to Eve in order to eat of the fruit and sin. Same happened when Baal wanted to curse Israel and couldn’t because the men were strong and loyal to God but when God told Baal to test the men with Women then the men began to fail God and no longer were the heads of the relationship but instead the jezebell women took charge then God was able to curse Israel for their lacking of being the men God asked to be and that is the head of the relationship. So everything Paul said to this church is in line with the structure of God for mankind. It’s a complete and simple reminder to everyone in the church that women are not the head and cannot be. They will fail when the serpent comes to talk to Eve and if the men don’t step up and take lead they will follow the women into damnation. So yes the duty is on the man to be lead always but to guide the woman and everyone with the grace of Christ. Amen and thank you Lee strobbel for you answers. Now I am more prepared to also give an explanation for this difficult questions.

Would you say you are skeptical of all other religions and gods but your own or would you say you don't find convincing in any way shape or form the assertions made by other religions on behalf of the characters they worship in those other religions?
My point is you people know full well what it feels like to not believe the assertions men make on behalf of various gods, And you know exactly what it feels like to lack a belief in these gods.
You know exactly how I feel when I think about your god being no more special than any other god.
Why do most religious people pretend like They don't know what that feeling feels like, The Feeling of not being convinced the assertions men make on behalf of characters in holy books are true assertions.

My understanding is Slaves to Jewish as Paul was speaking to, were more debtors than slaves working for someone to pay off their debts. Might have been 3 years to the 7 year Sabbath year or 1 year. On the 7 th year all slaves/debts were cancelled. They could then return to their own family land and freedom.
Be no ones debtor. Owe no man anything.

    Complete Context reveals Truth:
🚨 Biblical Bondservants in exchange for food, shelter, protection, or monetary compensation entered into servitude voluntarily. God teaches us these Moral Laws regarding Slavery:
⭐️ Read Exodus 21:16, “ Anyone who kidnaps another and either sells him or still has him when he is caught must be put to death.”
⭐️ Read Exodus‬ ‭22‬:‭21‬, “You shall neither mistreat a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.“
⭐️ Read Deuteronomy 23:15-16 "If a slave has taken refuge with you, do not hand them over to their master. Let them live among you wherever they like and in whatever town they choose. Do not oppress them."

(*^^*) This is an artistic proof of a created universe. When you paint a shadow it's the opposite color of the object that made the shadow. Nobody knew what the opposite color of white was so the artists avoided painting white on white. The opposite color of white is baby blue and baby pink. The first artist to figure it out was Norman Rockwell. I was the second artist to figure it out. I saw it in the corner of a white room. The lighting was perfect to see it.

    Sorry, (part 2).
It is not until after the world wide flood (remember that the world was one land mass) in Genesis 9:11-17. He was not referring to a section of land nor a nation but the entire world. Genesis is altogether true and though it seems to be contradicted by modern science, true science proves the scriptures to be accurate (not always the translations of scriptures) but certainly the original written scriptures which have been hidden in history. I follow the belief that the 6 days of creation were not 24 hour days, but were 1000 year days with the first night being before time was created and most of the heavens and the angels were created before time was created. I am among the few who still believe in a liquid water canopy covering the whole earth that was destroyed by asteroids and other meteors piercing and rupturing the canopy which causes 40 days of rain over the whole earth and the asteroids broke the Earth's mantel causing the land masses do be pulled apart and other earthquakes moving the broken pieces of land into the current positions and because of the broken mantle, volcanoes came into existence. Afterwards, an ice age occurred caused by the volcanic activities blocking the sunshine. That is why the sun and moon were described as greater and lesser lights because the canopy obscured the now visible sun and moon and why the stars were an afterthought as Adam, Eve, and most of the fathers (possible exception of Enoch, the seventh generation from Adam) never saw the stars and why no rainbow was seen upon the earth because the light was not concentrated to form a rainbow from water causing a prismatic event. It all makes sense if you really study and believe scriptures to be true. Much love and with Great Respect. Shabbat Shalom.

I love how Lee says that the Bible says that every 7th year "slaves should be freed". Even though the actual verse on the screen as he says that specified that this was ONLY for Hebrews. Something Lee conveniently leaves out. Completely ignoring those verses that actually do condone lifelong, generational chattel slavery. No no, this was like having a job. Just like in America? The first time I've heard Lee address this particular issue and I'm kind of disappointed.

    • @user-tt6xr2ny7c
      @user-tt6xr2ny7c 28 дней назад +3

So, I must agree I am so very disappointed that so many apologists don’t address the slavery thing properly.
But I must also point out that your point is also misleading. But so is lee’s, and for the life of me as someone who doesn’t study these things extensively like lifelong atheists on a mission to disprove God or apologists who are out to do the opposite, it baffles me that the conversation pertaining to bible slavery is not made so very SIMPLE the way that it is laid out in the Bible.
Because currently if you are a non believer the case goes… “no no no, there is chattel slavery, it wasn’t just indentured servitude” which is true!
And apologists will say “God doesn’t care about social issues, he is concerned with the wholistic plan of freeing us from the slave of our sin, and the Bible doesn’t condone slavery”
      Which is also true!
So where is the actual honest answer that is very simple for everyone to understand? Right here.
      The Bible doesn’t condone slavery.
It condones slavery in a portion of time that was designed by God to show what he hates about our broken creation. Refer to exodus chapter 21 for the details on that. Chattel slavery is condoned at this time for the Israelites from the wicked Assyrians, Egyptians, and Canaanite’s to cut off the sin from spreading to the rest of creation. Hebrew slaves are set free after 7 years because their faith in the sovereign will save them. God knows this and takes care of his own. The same way the rules for slavery are put in place not because it is a part of God’s original design but because he is talking to people in a particular time who’s social and moral constructs are vastly different in comparison to Judeo Christian built western society. Again, God is not concerned with our social constructs. He is timeless, and speaks to the people of their time, in their time. The same way Jesus told his disciples, “it is because of the hardness of your hearts that divorce was made, but from the beginning it was not so” God’s character is consistent, sovereign, and everlasting. His character never changes. Even when the character of society, does. He speaks in a way the people of the time will think about their actions by slightly undermining what they are doing to start a path towards ridding themselves of their sins completely, this is why their are rules surrounding slavery that slightly undermine the rules of the day, and Jesus reaffirms this line of thinking when he addresses divorce.
Another point that blows peoples mind really quickly, believer and nonbeliever alike.
The commandment that everyone in western culture likes to refer to when addressing social issues…
“Love thy neighbor as thyself” is Jesus quoting scripture from Leviticus 19
This is ironic because it is in reference to the people of foreign countries that are wicked.
Jesus is saying, love everyone, even your enemies, even the people I have given over to you in chattel slavery because of their evil works. Love them too.
I love telling people where that scripture comes from because it is the one quote from Jesus everyone knows and wants to use as a weapon to silence everyone for the love of their own sin. But the irony is that the scripture they are quoting was originally referring to people god had given over into slavery. God gave the law of Moses to show shine a bright light on the brokenness of this world. To show his character consistent through the love and mercy of Jesus Christ. To show that we will never measure up, and that we must repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Amen.
      So in conclusion
-God condones slavery at a period time to show the brokenness of the world, while still giving rules to help undermine the greater sin of slavery to eventually abolish it completely, in this world and the next.
-apologists on both sides of the coin misrepresent the slavery topic in the Bible (in my experience)
      - The idea of slavery in the Bible is only scary when you look at it through the lens of nonbelief, but makes perfect sense when you try to to look through the lens of a holy God that wants to rid the world of sin.
-Either way this clear and simple way of explaining biblical slavery needs to enter the town square. For the sake of both believer and non believer alike to broaden the perspective of everyone.
-CHATTEL SLAVERY IS BAD and God thinks so as well
-Owning people as property by stealing them, as America did, is punishable by death in the Bible. Exodus 21:16
Thank you if you read all of this, I’m currently trying to make more people understand this topic is so much more simple than we like to make it. God bless.

If you look, you will find. Jesus says if you seek me with your whole heart you'll find me. This is coming from someone who was an an atheist untill 22. I came to faith because of a number of reasons.
I was chasing truth. I wanted to know what was really true about life. I looked into the corruption in evolutionary science (blatant falsified fossils because research grands would be retracted) and alternative answers for creation that you never hear of in school. Occultism in hollywood (and the music industry) and satanic sexual abuse and rituals, stories from victims of hollywood pedophilia common forth testifying to this fact.
The miraculous nature of bioscience. If you zoom into your body, your cells, the cell organelles, proteins, amino acids, dna... the miniscule intricacy of how they work is completely miracolous.
Comparing different religions and history prior to the 1900s. Everyone believed in some form of God. Atheism is a new concept. People weren't as stupid as we believe to be. Try reading a King James Version bible. Most people don't understand what they are reading but back in the good old days children were fluent in literature like the KJV.
And then, as Lee Strobel has written in his book in "The case for Christ", the evidence for Jesus his story, the gospel. Is the story even sensible?
I started by actually reading the words and concepts that Jesus brings forth "love thy neighbour as thyself or do unto others as you want them to do unto you", "pray for your enemies" Jesus himself prayed for his enemies when he was hanging on the cross they nailed him to, jesus says that love is willing to die for your friends or "he who is without sin, cast the first stone".
All of these are moral concepts that spiritually transcendent the "survival of the fittest" sentiment. The world would be a better place if we kept them.
And then and what gave me the most existential fright before I came to faith... realising we are not just "an ant in an anthill in the vast cosmos or startdust in the bizzilion of galaxies". No we are precious "wonderfully created" and we have a personal God that wants to humbly lower himself to connect to us and love us. We are loved by Him even if we are not loved or get disappointed by other people in our own life because of sin. Our own sin and that of others. We all make selfious or naive decision but Jesus shows us mercy and reaches out his hand and asks us to believe in Him and turn from our sins and live a good life (to the best of our abilities).
Lol long response. I hope something speaks to you but even if it doesn't I pray you are well and God may humbly lead you to truth.

The Bible is the truth as biblical archaeology proves the truth of God's word like the Tel Dan stele that mentions The House of David or the Seal of Isaiah being found or Caiaphas bone box or the cyrus cilinder or the pontius pilate stone or the Shroud of Turin that has three D information on it, plus over 270 legends worldwide of a global flood and a boat full of people

      1 Corinthians 1:21
For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
