God created a perfect universe. Lucifer fell into sin and tempted man into sin which causes a curse to come on the earth. We are living in a fallen world. The way we react to this fallen world displays the Gospel of Jesus Christ to other people.

I wish this video had been made a long time ago. My son, for all intents and purposes, has completely deconstructed. His sages are Dawkins, Hitchens, and the like now. His deconstruction happened in an undergrad program at SBC seminary. It was only exacerbated when he went to the Holy land with a group from the seminary. On the trip back, my son was sexually assaulted on the plane by a minister affiliated with the seminary and also the president of another Christian educational institution. His arguments are born out of pain and resentment for everything associated with the faith now. My prayers are my only recourse because to venture into an adversarial conversation about God is futile. I use adversarial as a descriptor because I have experienced the evolution of faith conversations with him. How can this be approached without conflict?

Going back to the question about why did God create this evil thing or situation and why does he allow it. You could also ask why do all these people who live in India or Africa etc. Where there is all this suffering and unjust death, you could also ask why do these countries false gods allow all this suffering to there people? Also, why don't they help them? It always seems to be God's fault and not these false gods fault.

Abraham knew the holy God of creation and his need of God's mercy and salvation long before Jesus came. Every person is without excuse as they see God's power and wisdom in the world He rules and are aware of their need and helplessness by the conscience He placed within them and the drawing of the Holy Spirit, so even the people in remote places who don't have missionaries bringing the Gospel in their lifetimes will know enough to acknowledge their sin and rely on God's grace and provision to save them.

Now I may be wrong, and God certainly doesn't owe us anything, but his nature is to be all loving and I think he understands. Or perhaps he doesn't let them see the gospel because he knows they will reject it? There's quite a few theories.

Scripture teaches us that God's Thoughts are greater numbered than the sand(Psalms 139:17-18). Have You ever tried to count sand? I certainly wouldn't recommend it but God's thoughts are more than the number of sand on the Earth. That's deep! So God's sees everything because God is outside of Universe looking into his creation. When a person has built something from ground up they understand it's complete functions because they're the builder/creator. That's what God is.

    • @richardjames6613
      @richardjames6613 5 месяцев назад +1

This boils down to the main gists of the biblical story.
Humanity has fallen and chose to abandon God for sin.
God has all the rights to doom us to hell, we came from Him after all.
Yet God even in this rebellion, still sent His Son to redeem humanity.
And suffered a punishment He never deserved.
So why are we even complaining in sufferings, if we deserve it fully?
      Even Christ suffered for us.
God allows suffering to teach us lessons, to let us know what it feels like to walk away from Him.
To let humanity know what's a world without God.
To make us better persons; to learn from mistakes of chosing sin, evil, pride, lying, stealing, cheating, unforgiving, anger, wars, murders, rapes, genocides, corruption, addiction, love of money, malice, injustice, lawlessness... And so on
To know all the fruit of these things is suffering.
If there is evil, there is suffering.
We humans have become evil, so there is suffering.
God will need to kill us all, to stop suffering.
But He wouldn't interfere with our free will, or else where is now our learning about suffering? Nothing.
If God interfered to save a man that is arrogant to ignite fireworks in his hand, that man would repeat it again and again.
That man would think, "Ahh!" This is good I'm not harmed at all!... Just like in sin, "Ahh!" Let me repeat this again and again.
And will be abusive of God's saving grace.
Not knowing what sin really brings. We should know that. Does God don't have any right to show us the truth of sin and evil?
      We deserve it.
Sinning is chosing evil over good again and again. Chosing pleasure over God.
One day, the bible says, all of these sufferings would be incomparable to the joy that is coming when Christ appears again, if we believe in Him. And that humanity that believed in His name, has now learned what is it like to love all that God hates, it creates suffering.
Yet in that suffering, God suffered with us to redeem us. And now gave us second chance to be with Him again, in eternity without sin, evil and suffering.
That is the summarized whole picture of the bible.
I hope you learn too, somehow.
And that it makes sense for you.

I don't care about the story. Honestly, it's not a very good story. If it were written today, it would never find a publisher. The Lord Of The Rings is a better story. Watership Down is a better story. Read those if you want a good story.
"God allows suffering to teach us lessons"
And you totally missed the point of my post, didn't you. What use are those lessons going to be for an eternity in a heaven with no suffering. Why could God have just created us knowing the lessons already? Like instincts? Why is it the some people, often those least need character building, are the ones who endure the most suffering?
You didn't even try to address those questions. Apparently, you can't. So your religion makes no sense.
"I hope you learn too, somehow."

It’s not necessarily a lesson. It’s about choice between choosing good or evil, Father God or Father of Lies, Heaven or Hell. Our choice to believe in His sinless Son(Jesus Christ), allows us to get into a sinless heaven instead of taking the just punishment we deserve from living in sin like the devil. Suffering allows us to see the consequences from living in sin and shows us we are all in need of His Son to redeem us from a fallen nature into Christ nature to live now like it was before the fall of Adam and Eve.

Isn't taking away our ability to do something an effect on our free will?
Also, regarding the other guy, he has a point. If your argument is that God could make a world where we don't suffer, and then you only address one type of suffering, your suggestion is incomplete. Your logic also wouldn't work for all types of suffering without obviously affecting free will; to remove emotional suffering, God would make us incapable of doing anything that could cause a negative feeling to another. The only way to do that would be to limit our ability to communicate or perceive.
Further to that, the argument isn't very good from a theological perspective because sin is supposed to be what has lead to our suffering. Sin being the corruption of God's paradise, which only exists because of our free will and ability to choose the sinful path.
I think there are much stronger arguments you could use.
