There's no way to just buy MATIC with cash to get some ? Like I have to buy ETH first and then transfer it with all the fees 'n shit ? First time I'm investing some and I just want some MATIC crypto for something I wanna buy this week
Buying ETH is *optional*, it is in this vid for people who need to stake MATIC on the Ethereum network. You can use MoonPay to directly buy MATIC on Polygon, skipping ALL Ether fees. The video shows how. Nice!
That is an *optional* step if you wish to stake ERC-20 MATIC on the Ethereum mainnet. You would need to pay fees in ETH. Another case, is when you cash out of polygon, you would need to pay bridging fees in ETH. Hope this helps!
